He just left here few minutes ago asking me to pack out if i fail to pay up before on Tuesday or he's going to send guys to pack all my loads outside. I'm considering going to the village but I can't be attending exams from my village Cus it's a bit far, Mum is really sick she asked i packed the items back to the village but I just can't because I might miss my remaining exams Cus of transportation fees.
Nairalanders please help me, Never done this before but I'm dead frustrated here I don't think i have any other option but this.

Real estate in Lagos is hot cake compared to any other state cos Lagos is the centre of the nations economy. Let's forget the obvious sentiments and say the truth: that 21 storey building if built in Uyo would only be good for pictures of Uyo skyline without any real economic again.

I believe the govt has a cogent reason for building this liaison office despite the seemingly huge cost. Its could even be to save logistics costs of running state business that may take place in Lagos like hotel bills and renting of conference rooms and so on. I think we shouldn't be in a hurry to conclude until we hear from Udom.

There is more to that building than the real need for it. Without contract like this, there are no avenues for politicians to loot public funds in large sum. Contract like this creates the needed avenue to syphon public funds. It's the same thing Akpabio did with the Uyo stadium contract. Contractors handling the Uyo stadium work could openly attest to my claims. Akpabio used the construction of the stadium to syphon over N3billion naira alone not to talk of his subordinates that each must go home with appreciable sum at the end of the day. Udom Emmanuel and in general other conniving to go ahead with this contract know what they are doing.

Driving the point home...if you have made up your mind to invest in e.g. Real Estate and you have the choice of either building in your home state capital vs Lagos, which will you choose?

I don't know about you, but my choice is obvious and that is Lagos...and that choice is backed by many sound and logical reasons, including vital and strategic ones.

Who said he has to build a 21 storey building in Akwa Ibom? The point is there is so much that can be done with almost 10 billion naira to stimulate the state economy. Whether in infrastructure, agriculture or industry. When will Nigerians quit their mad obsession with Lagos - a tiny strip of land that shouldn't have to be the beginning and end of everything in Nigeria? There are 35 other backward states that need development.

A state where the ordinary guy in the street is complaining bitterly on how things are rough...jobless graduates everywhere and you want to justify spending N10 bill on a structure in Lag which is obviously has no economic value to the state. What happened to building industries? Even putting that sort of cheddar in building a seaport would have been more useful because of the scale of employment it would create for Akwa Ibomites in particular and Nigerians in general I won't even talk about the revenue it would generate for the state. This is a pure case of misplaced priorities...Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad...the voice of the people is the voice of reason. Govt should re-assess this decision if at all it is true.
