Great, keep login details to this account, then you adjust accordingly when you have you right IELTS score.

Modified:
Just thought, you'd most likely get ITA with that CRS. You may wish to change the reading back to 6.5, you should still be eligible.

I already withdrew the application to avoid stories that touch.

Your choice...all the best to everyone on their PR journey. Every application is unique and we are not in the mind of VOs. When the issues come up with CIC, we will leave all our 'financial literacy' and do the needful.
What if poster was not even called for an updated POF when it gets to stage of checking and he/she simply gets a rejection because of incomplete funds.
Unencumbered fund is a requirement for a reason and POF won't bother a lot of people here if the money can actually be spent. I won't advise anyone to have a balance lower than the required amount when application is yet to be approved because it is the same as not having that money.
Kontagious:

With all due respect, I beg to differ at the bolded.

To me, it makes no financial sense to leave a couple of millions laying fallow in a saving/current account when the same money can be invested profitably in something else.

Even if asked to provide updated POF, as long as there is movement (proportionate inflows inclusive), then there shouldn't be a problem.

At this my struggling stage, there is no way on earth I will leave N6m in an account for 6 months, that's financial illiteracy (no pun intended).

lilyandie, please feel free to touch your POF but also make sure to replenish accordingly within reasonable time. My take.

Good day all.

WES received response on verification from Unilag on Monday 11/9/2017. They still went ahead to state the evaluation will be due for completion on 29/9/2017. This is after receiving transcripts and certificates since mid August.
Question is, does it take that long for WES to complete ECA after receiving response to their verification from schools? That's like another 18days.

The processing time is 20 days after receipt of all documents/verification. Expect it a day or two before.

yes i did. And it was Accepted.

What i did differently? : I inputted a 7 as my reading score instead of 6.5. EE score was 435

next steps: rewrite IELTS again... this will be my 4th attempt. Reading keeps getting in the way cry cry cry.

thank you all so much for the help.

Have you been consistently scoring "6.5" in the reading section? If yes, then that means you need to change your reading strategy.

Good day everyone, I'm new here. I've gone through almost all the threads but I can find answers to my issue. I finished my masters in Unilag in 2016,.but till date we haven't been given certificate. I want to send my documents to WES for evaluation, can I send only a transcript without Certificate or statement of result. Will it be evaluated?

Its the school that is to send transcript.
Based on other responses on this forum, you can send your statement of result to WES. It would be verified anyways

Abby, I sincerely apologize if you found my post offensive, it wasn’t intended.

The fact that the funds is unencumbered, to me, seems more like you can spend, but of course reasonably and most importantly a refund be made. Logic here is, if it is encumbered, then I have no absolute right/access to the money.

Again, if the bank is contacted by IRCC, I suppose the bank is only obligated to give details as at date the SOA was printed and not any date further.

Then the poster’s query seems more like an intangible amount of the POF which I see as inconsequential.

As rightly said by you, VOs have their discretion to every application. But for me, touching my POF will not create fear in me if I know the money is truly mine (which is basis of POF) and will be appropriately returned.

Can I touch my POF after I submit my application, I'm a salary earner, I need to use some part of the money for stuff. I will replace it eventually, but can I at least touch it.

You can touch it. but make sure the money doesn't go below the required amount. it would look suspicious if CIC asks for updated POF and they see that from the date of submission to date you haven't touched your money. the bottom line is to put in salary and spend but try not to dip into your POF too much. Hope this helps.

Approach the school for a 'To whom it may concern' letter. But ma, if you graduated in 2016, certificate should be ready.

When you practice, which type of question do you find difficult?

You might check out the link below, I found it very helpful especially the part of summarizing heading passages.

Once you've crossed the cumulative 6 months period, you surely do need your fbi pcc, regardless of your highest stay period. If you won't be going back the to US soon (before you submit your application), you should apply for it as soon as possible if you've not.

Please can I just go to any police station to apply because am currently in the US

I'm not entirely sure on this but seems it will only be valid showing a date after your departure.

Let's wait for informed responses.

Wow! You've really tried. I've written both the IELTS Academic version and IELTS General Training and based on my test experiences, I still feel the academic version is easier to pass (maybe because I'm used to reading convoluted passages wink). IELTS General Training is easy but VERY TRICKY and people often fail because of time constraints.

You can read some of the tips that @Cochtrane and Osemigho shared in the first part (part 1) of this thread.

Let me share one or two more tips too. I pray that you will get your desired score in your next and final attempt.

*Most times the answers will be paraphrased (synonym) and the answers will often follow order except for matching questions.

*Be conscious of time and leave enough time to transfer your answer. You can plan to spend 20 minutes for question 1-27 and 30 minutes for question 28-40. Then, you can use the remaining 10 minutes to transfer your answer and revise.

*For paragraph heading questions, identify the topic sentence (very important). It is often in the first sentence of each paragraph.

*Don’t go over the word limit. For example, if the instruction says not more than three words, do not write more than that.

*Use words from the passage (don’t change the word).

*Tips for TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN…Remember the following:

True means statement agrees with the information in the passage
False means statement contradicts the information in the passage
Not Given means no information on this (Part might be given but not ALL information)

*Pay attention to negative words especially in T/F/NG e.g. hardly, never, rarely, seldom, always, often etc.

*For True/False/Not given, there will always be one answer of each type. i.e You will have at least one of your answer that will be true, false and not given.

*Don't write "TRUE" in place of "YES".

* Write your answer in capital letters to be on the safe side.

*Underline keywords and scan for them (Learn the scanning and skimming techniques).

*Do not overthink and don't make assumptions. Concentrate on what is given in the text.

*Practice!practice!!practice!!! Identify the part where you are weak and work on it. There are lots of IELTS sites (ieltsliz.com, ieltsbuddy.com, ieltsadvantage.com and co) where you can learn more.

Above all, go into the exam hall with a positive mindset. Do your best and commit the rest to God.

You can get ECA with statement of result and transcript. My wife evaluated her MSc successfully with it.

BTW, this issue has been discussed in the two threads. You can use the Search toolbar next time you have similar issues.
