@smslive2 Yours truly has done this already. You can download the PCC request form here:
http://www.nigeriacrb.com/Police%20Report%20Form.pdf

- Complete the form sign and thumb/hand print as required
- Scan alongside biodata page of your passport and email to someone / friend or relative in Nigeria
- They will print out hard copies to take to Alagbon for processing
- PCC certificate costs ranges between N3,000 - N6,000 depending on how well they can negotiate grin
- Your contact will scan back the PCC certificates and the stamped/approved copies of the forms for your application

smslive2:
Please i need a clarification on something, if you could help ask that person who was resident in UK and issued PR.

How did they go about the Police Clearance for Nigeria?
Did they go through Nigerian Embassy or did they just download the PCC form and put their fingerprint and sent to Alagbon?

If they downloaded the form online, Did they include the fingerprint page on their application or just the certificate?

Thanks

Nope you dont need secondary school certificate.
If you want to save cash, then go standard delivery $7. There is an electronic copy that would be posted in your account after evaluation which can also serve for same purpose.
But if you have spare cash to burn, you can pay for $85 international courier which speed post.

Your choice!!

SV

Why would anyone waste 85CAD? It beats my imagination! I just looked at my WES account now since last year and discovered the ECA has been made to be the exact thing they ground-mail. No more, it is not the-original-copy clause. So folks, pls I beg una, use standard delivery mode, even if e no reach u, download jejely, in fact, download and use before that one go even show up.

Yes i know, but i am just concerned about the bolded section from CIC.

If you live outside of Nigeria:
You should apply by mail to the Commissioner of Police (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must send:

A pre-paid return courier envelope
A copy of your passport
A set of fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized police authority or the Nigerian embassy or consulate
An international money order payable to the Nigerian Police Force, CID

Hephgirl:
download the forms... Fill... Do ur finger print.. Send to alagbon.

U need d finger print page. That's how u are identified na

Yes it is. The form has panels where you have to finger print. Just get an ink pad and print in the appropriate space.

Good afternoon everyone,

I keep seeing conflicting info on the number of years required for any job one is choosing NOC for. Is it a minimum of 1 year or 3 years please? Thanks.

To be eligible for Express Entry on the work experience criteria, you need a minimum of one year experience in an occupation under Skill level 0, A or B. To get the maximum points available for work experience, you must have 3 or more years verifiable experience in an eligible occupation.

Some people do believe that the hard copy is more superior to the soft copy. Just the psychological thought that they can feel and touch the assessment outcome of what they paid lots of money for.

For me Soft copy is more than enough.

good points.
@smslive2 and everyother person getting pcc by proxy,,, plz y'all shld remember to do all d scanning and printing in color.
I mean after thumbprinting, use a color scanner to scan and send to your helper. ask him/her to print out in color printer. When done, he/she should color scan both d main pcc and d accompanying thumbprinting forms before sending to u.
Go thru all this stress to avoid submitting a black and white pcc like i did....its grounds for rejection.

I said i should share this...For those that need to do ECA,pls use ICES...i got mine within three weeks and its alot easier process.
My school sent my transcript to them as an email, and i sent my documents to them too via the same email,no need for reconfirmation from the school as long as the school sends the result to them via its email.
After that u make payment,275$ and within three weeks your evaluation is ready.
My hubby's ECA is stuck with IQAS now,and he started d process before me.

Really, that's warm to the ears.
Pls was it a Nigerian degree?

If u are so worried, you could take the forms to a nearby police commission and have d thumbprinting done under supervision.
But most people on this forum did it by themselves and have gone on to become PR.
So don't worry to much.
Cheers.

From the above, I can have two and a half years experience as a teacher (using this as the primary NOC) and 9 months experience as a bank marketer (a different NOC) and be eligible as well as get maximum immigration point for work experience.... Is this correct?

The Original form (with fingerprint set) itself have been sent to Nigeria and the Original will be sent back as well along with the certificate.

What skill level as a teacher and what skill level as a bank marketer does your work fall under? Have you identified the NOCs and can you get employer reference letters that reflect these work experoences? You need to determine these key issues first.

Ok, I see. So it is ok for one to choose primary NOC for a job experience of a year and some months even if you have more than 7 years work experience in other fields that still fall under NOC Skill 0, A & B? This is because it is easier to get a detailed reference letter in the 1year+ job. Reference letters will still be gotten for other jobs though.

I'm using my statement of result with IQAS and they've acknowledged my documents and didn't ask for my certificate. They are yet to acknowledge receipt of my transcipt though.

MysteryBud:

Hi, thanks for responding.
Initially IQAS responded to the enquiry that they accept statement of result. However, they turned around to say that the wording on the statement of result sounds like one is yet to be awarded the degree hence the need for degree certificate.

Please I still need to reach out to someone using (or used) IQAS that may or may not have faced similar challenge. Thanks.

1.Secondary School Teacher: 4031- skill level A.
2.Financial Sales Representative : 6235- skill level B.

I can get reference letters for the two jobs although the salary for the first was handed in cash.

@MysteryBud

I evaluated with IQAS and initially I submitted my statement of result but before they issued my ECA, they asked for the degree certificate. Luckily I had just taken it from the school.
I graduated in 20... and my certificate has been ready since 20.... What year did you graduate? Yours might be ready

MysteryBud:
Dear All,

Please this is really urgent.
Is there any FUTO graduate here who verified educational certificates with IQAS? Please indicate so I can pm you. IQAS insists on degree certificate before they verify results and it takes up to 3years before it's gotten. This is a big challenge and the ECA process has been put on hold because of this. I need to get in touch with FUTO grads ASAP. Please treat as urgent!

Yes points are awarded for spouse degrees only if it's evaluated.
Points depend on level of qualification e.g. 8 points for Bsc and 9/10 points for Masters and PHD.

Hi prideandjoy,

Thank you for your response.

I graduated in 2015. I have asked people and they said it's not ready.
Please, is your set, the set affected by the long strike? I.e. 2013 set that finished in 2014?

I was told it takes a minimum of 3years to get ready.

Please I still need a way around this.

Someone suggested I go to school and get an attestation letter but I don't know if this will suffice.

One more thing, please when school sent your transcript, did they attach the academic verification form which IQAS sent you as soon as you made payment with a reference number, before sending to IQAS?

I'm new to the whole process and I have been trying to follow the thread though I'm still far from finishing all the pages. We are planning to do wifey's ECA evaluation as the PA but her degree is in her maiden name. Wouldn't there be a conflict if we open the WES account in her maiden name to do the evaluation then later on fill the EE form in our family name and also write ielts in family name too. Pls experienced people advice.
