I agree with u on the first limb of ur opinion but to say Binta is bias, I wldnt agree. Do not forget, that an accused or Defendant as the case afoot must be present in court throughout his trial and dis proceedings is part of Kanu's trial. So she cldnt proceed without Kanu being in court. Besides, the motion filed by Abaribe is dead on arrival as the primary issue for consideration is the absence of accused person. And if the sureties cannot explain his absence without showing that he is at large, no wahala. But if wat the sureties say is dat they can't find or produce him, then the forfeiture of the bail bond is inevitable. The only thing that can save dem is the motion filed by kanu's lawyer ordering the Federal government to produce him. Here the presupposition that he is in the custody of the Federal government wld occupy the air and giv the sureties time to breathe

I think you are the one that is naive on this issue, do you have evidence that the government is responsible for the disappearance of the IPOB leader? go to court and produce it, or rather if those that stood surety for him have evidence of government complicity in Kanu's whereabout, they should present it to the judge.
The law of the land says if you stand surety for someone, you are responsible for that person's debt/duty if he or she fails to honour the debt or duty.

They even paraded items they allegedly recovered during the raid on his house. Is that what you are still calling unverifiable rumours and public opinion? Abaribe's lawyer has based this request on verifiable facts and It is only a compromised judge that will not entertain the request for aquittal by Abaribe.
