Tickets wouldn't completely go to waste. If you still plan to travel, you can claim 'no show', and pay some cash and get on another flight...

Thanks. My grandma doesn't have a medical condition, it's just that she is elderly and frail really. She has no birth certificate so I think I will not add that as a tie.
1.I want them to come for 2 weeks only during the school holiday, hopefully this December/January so is £2,500 ok for both of them (to fully sponsor them) with a salary of £1,500 per month.
2.Am on tier 2 visa. I have all my docs from council bills, payslips, utility bills, tenancy agreement, employment letter.
3. I am thinking of applying for them separately (not as a unit) but at the same time. Don't want one application to affect the other. What do you think?
4. Dad got landed property, mum not yet?
5. Got 4 siblings and 2 are underaged but 1 is in the university and the other in sec.school. Do they need to state where my siblings will be when they travel to the UK.
They will be staying at my granny's. Do my parents need any docs to support that.
Thanks ( never thought about my siblings birth certificates).
P.S: Sorry for the questions-my friend's mum was refused a visitor's visa because she was assessed alone even when my friend stated she will be fully sponsoring her. The reason was that my friend's mum has insufficient funds for the trip.

1. One letter should suffice, just state there that you are inviting and sponsoring as well. Put the 2 as the heading sef.

2. Yes different letters, their circumstances are not the same, one is retired and one still in service. Hopefully they submit as a unit, but advisable they print their documents separately

3. Both, but since you are sponsoring them fully, be sure they fill that in the application forms. If the ECOs spot their account statements, he could ignore your account statement/sponsorship and concentrate on their account statement instead particularly if it isn't well funded to wrongfully justify a refusal

4. Just payslips

5. Either is fine

6. Please have them state all these in their cover letter. Mum would need a letter of introduction from work and possibly the school calendar. Include your siblings birth certificates too especially if they're underage. And documents of landed property if any

7. Depends on how long are they staying and how much would their trip cost you personally. Remember it is full sponsorship which means travel/flight tickets are included. Although, I don't think they are as strict with U.K. resident sponsorship as with self/Nigerian 3rd party sponsorship.

8. Mention alternative care for her in their cover letter(s), but "rest from caring for granny" sha? I dunno about that one o! Lol

Other documents 1. Siblings' birth certificates 2. Mum's Introduction from work 3. Grandma's birth certificate? passport data page? Or hospital card or any document to prove her status 4. Dad's retirement certificate/letter 5. Sponsor's passport data page 6. Sponsor's utility bill 7. Sponsor's bank Statement 8. Sponsor's birth certificate to prove relationship with parents from names 9. Sponsor's birth certificate because of the change of name?

Can't think of any more documents now, there could be more...

Good morning house, I recently applied for a 6 months visa which I got and I traveled. I'm back now and want to apply again (valid reason). My brother who lives in the UK and is the one I visited said I should apply for a 2 years visa instead of 6 months.
My ogas in the house, based on your experiences, should I follow his advice? Thank you

About to submit the application.

* Invitation Letter from my host.

* Utility Bill of my host.

* My employer's company bank statement of account.
* Letter of introduction from my employer and why the company is sponsoring me.

Good to go?

That mean you present company bank statement of account.

I didn't present any bank statement.

It's an oil and gas company. We also have an office in the UK. Just letter of introduction that they will pay the entire costs.
Submitted my 3-year tax clearance certificate though, that shows my incomes and taxes paid in the last 3 years.

Didn't need to submit any bank statement.

I was here some weeks ago to have a feel of timelines when my family members passports seems to be held up somewhere in Sheffield, and it was hindering their applications for Canada visas too.

Well. Out of 4 people that submitted together in June...
one got her visa in August, the other 3 just got their visas last week. It took almost 5months! They now all have their trips booked for christmas.

Na real wa. Now i can also finally send in their renewal apps for Canada visas too. Una thank you ooo UKvisas.

My understanding is to try to include proof of facts stated in an application, that's why I suggested that for your grandma

1. I don't live in the U.K. so I have no idea of the cost of living or how much will be ok for sponsorship. I reckon it'd be high sha, given that there's 2 of them. Maybe Justwise, ekpotek and Brightingus can help here.

P.S. Must they both visit together tho'?

2. Include a copy of your visa, your bank statement, marriage certificate and those bills. Remember your folks will need hard copies ( i.e. print out) of all your documents to take along with their own documents to the submission appointment.

3. You mean you want them to submit separately, as in different appointments? Since they must fill separate application forms, they can of course submit separately, but I don't think I understand why you want them to do that? They'd still trace both applications to you as their sponsor anyways. Let them submit together joooor. Include their marriage certificate too.

4. Include dad's property documents

5. This settles the grandma issue. Your sibs staying with her while your parents are away is perfect. No need for documents on where they'll stay (what would those docs be sef?), just to state in the cover letter they'll be staying with mum/dad's? mother. Their birth certificate is necessary as proof of them as dependants/ties in Nigeria.

Your friend's mum's refusal is the reason why I said you should EMPHASISE that you're sponsoring them FULLY and the trip is at no cost to them personally. Their bank statements with insufficient funds is at risk of being misconstrued, when it really is just meant to be another proof of home ties (occupation/pension). Make sure they answer "NO COST" to the question of "what is the cost of this trip to you (applicant) personally". Those ECOs can be silly at times. That's why they should be careful in filling out the application forms and include additional information in the space provided or include a detailed cover letter.

If they present a well packaged application, it should be a walk in the park because of their age. Good luck!

Good day everyone in the house
I have been reading comment on the platform and gaining experience despite I am not ready to visit the UK.
But I plan to visit the UK this February and my cousin’s wife is going to send me the invitation, because my brother do not have British passport but has work permit in the UK for 4 years now.
I registered a car and spare parts business Nig.Ent 2 years ago and I have been running the account ever since I registered it. I currently have 5 million naira in my business account.
Also, I have been paying myself 220 thousand naira for two months now and I want to continue doing that for the next 4 months before I apply.

I am doing this because I want to apply with my saving account and I don’t want to get my business involved, I feel like involving my business will make me spend more like tax clearance ad require other document I cannot provide, I have not paid for tax since I registered the firm, I registered this firm solely because it will be easy for me to apply for business or visit visa, the firms it’s not functional.

Please my main concern right now is that, in the past three years I have spent just one year and six months in Nigeria, I spend 9 months in south Africa and I am currently in Kenya, I will be in Nigeria this December and I intent to stay back in Nigeria till I have six months’ salary in my savings before I apply.

Please I need expert advice from the Gurus in the house to please advise me on the best step to take to enable my visa be granted.
Thanks a million as I await your advice. God bless you guys for your help.

How do you intend to explain your absence from your home country for 18 months as a business owner?

who had been running the business in your absence?

what have you been doing in those places for those periods and what type of visas were you on during those stay?

These are the Questions you WILL HAVE TO ANSWER except you are not planning to use/attach that passport that carries those travel history/immigration stamps

I did not deposit huge amount in my account and wish to reapply and point out the ECO's error like you said. But want to know if reapplying immediately won't be a sign of desperation.

2. Moreover, If I decide to reapply immediately, should I submit same leave/introduction letter (02/10/17 to 31/10/17) or get another one with new dates.
Thank you.

Check your email, I replied your PM.

I "asterisked" the part in your cover letter where you mentioned collecting rent. Did you state that you have additional income/side job in your application ni? Be careful of inconsistencies o!

I also noticed you mentioned having a family. Ensure that you include birth certificate and marriage certificate too.

Please endeavour to feed us back here. I am hopeful you'll get the visa this time. Good luck!

Hello guys,

Can anyone tell me whether an NPC attestation of birth, is acceptable to UKVI. I submitted one with my application but the ECO refused me entry clearance on the basis that I did not provide a Birth Certificate, making me wonder if they don't recognise the NPC attestation of birth document.

I'm trying to generate a remita code online for the payment for the authentication of docs. I understand it's a 10-digit PIN, I have tried contacting the ministry without much success, can't go in person because I'm in Europe.
Please help!

If you're planing on reapplying what ECO want to see is evidences of major deposits in your bank account that is outside your salary and amounted to the over N1 million svaings. Secondly obviously £300 can not support a 2 week visits which include flights tickets for 2, etc. Adjust your budget and address the issues raised by ECO with supporting documents in a cover letter.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by babygirl91: 10:38am On Oct 18, 2017
Thanks for your response, the account issue is from my sponsor side, the ECO meant dat he did not see d transfer of 500k on her bank statement. And dat was because she used her local account to make the transfer, but we submitted her uk bank statements . So she is ready to provide the bank statement reflecting the transfer. But what I am still not sure about is, can I just change the amount I want to spend on the trip? What will be my reason for putting 300 pounds in d first application. This agent has spoilt everything for me. Sure I will write a letter but will I need to put a reason why I suddenly changed the amount I want to spend on the trip? Won't it look too desperate. Thanks

So far you the cost of the trip in your account. You are free to update that section. Since you have proof of the 500K transaction include it. Just explain to ECO that you made a honest mistake when computing cost due to you. So carefully compute the cost for a two week trip. Also compute what amount your sponsor will give beside accommodation and feeding.

I seriously doubt if £1000 pound can cover the flight tickets for two. Check with airline or www.cheapflights.com. Compute the amount and added say £200 for unexpected expenditures. This will be the cost to you. £1500-£2000 should be reasonably which is about N900K out of over 1.5M in your account.

Good afternoon Justwise & Co. I applied for Administrative Review in September and I received a message from the Administrative Reviewer that they are currently conducting further checks on my application. Please what does this mean? I applied for Tier 5 charity worker visa which was refused because the ECO said my sponsor does not provide the mission statement of the charity and also that my sponsor did not confirm I am not filling a permanent position but I submitted employment letter that confirms a temporary appointment. Thanks
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by toscott: 1:19pm On Oct 18, 2017
Hello house.
Please in applying for a tier 2 dependant visa for my family, how long must I have lived in a family accommodation before applying for them? I currently stay in a shared accommodation in the UK and I wish to apply for them early February next year. When would it be advisable to me to move into a family accommodation? Is there even a requirement for how long I must have stayed at a family accommodation(for instance a 2bedroom apartment for a family of 4)before applying to bring them?
Thank you all for the anticipated prompt responses.
