My point is. When issues like this come to the fore, how does the president react to it? if GEJ had reacted swiftly when cases of corruption under his watch were brought to his attention, things wouldnt have been that bad for him. I do not know if the process of appointing a director in that parastatal required the presidents sign off, if it did and the president approved Mainas appointment or if it required his sign off but his aides appointed Maina without the presidents approval or knowledge then you would accuse Buhari of corruption or lack of control over his government as the case may be.

i dont think he has ever claimed not be aware of insecurity, death of shiites or contracts beign signed. Like i said, how does the president react when issues come to the fore. The state house clinic for instance, i am more concerned with what he does after His family screamed about the rot in the state clinic. I may not necessarily blame him for not knowing its that way cos of course we all know where he gets medical attention from and besides he has aides who should bring such issues to his attention.

This is the kind of reaction we expected. Sacking him is not enough, he should be handed over to EFCC immediately for prosecution. In addition, the president should order an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his initial reinstatement. Everyone found culpable should be punished seriously. He should also in this spirit act on the investigation he ordered into the Babachir and NIA DG scandals. Corruption must not be allowed to win this battle.
