@Lexusgs430, na real soap. I just noticed they used exceptional circumstances for me. Reading the letter to immigration, it's the 10 year route because of financial requirements. All those talks that our son will experience culture shock if we move to Nigeria while the mum isn't Nigerian. All in all, na God ooo

If then like make then use non - exceptional circumstances , still much better than an outright rejection..........

April - notice of pending appeal

June - emailed Manchester MP who happens to be a labour candidate and they are in full support of immigrants - got the advise from this forum

July - got letter appeal listed for December 8th 2017 - Same day the MP replied me. Lol

August 9th - reapplied since the appeal was taking too long.

So I just packaged my accts to send totalling £15900 as added funds from me.

The good news doesn’t stop. Congratulations o! Very happy for you and your family. Thank God.

I actually did the settlement - Marriage mistake and learnt on d forum it's the wrong one. I abandoned it and start a fresh one. Other mistake is that I was refused for my first visa to UK in 2010 and I said no that I have never been refused. So I wrote a letter stating the error and scanned one to my wife to include in the docs to Sheffield and also took one to tls on biometric day. It's well.

As long as the information on your application is valid as at the time of completion, you don't have to worry. From my experience, travel history has no influence on spouse visas as applications are decided based on proof of finance, accommodation, relationship and English language as stipulated by law. My form was completed by my lawyer and he made mistakes with some of my travel dates. Just explain in your cover letter and you will be fine.

God bless you immensely.. lol, He already has. grin

Wow.... Congratulations mate..... Your case is absolutely really different lol. God really did it for you.... Once financial requirement is not met, even if all the other requirements are over met lol... Chances of getting the visa are slim. But God did it for you. Halleluyah.

How did you package your own account to come across the said amount that you added to your wife's. Please be honest others like me may consider your method. Thanks, well I asked if I can add my acct then on the forum but someone said it doesn't add up so I went ahead to download the FM appendix August 2017 and discover that I can actually use my acct. So we checked my wife's P60 and noticed her last one summed to 18,420 thereabouts, meanwhile if u are adding funds it must be in an acct with names of either one or joint names of the couple. It must show proof of how you got it and must be in the acct for like six months as at when applying. So I used two of my accounts that summed £15900 pounds which is not up to the stipulated £16000 they required. Then we went ahead to explain difficulty of moving our son who's 8yrs old to Nigeria stating it will be too much for him. Reading the attached letter, they said I meet the financial requirement according to FM appendix 3.2.

Since she is British, you can wait till she gives birth and you apply via the 10 year route instead of the 5 year route. The 10-year route is for couples with children who don't meet the financial requirements.
ok thanks for the info.

Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by deebaby05(f): 2:16pm On Nov 08, 2017
Do you stay in Lagos? It would have been safer to take it to the office yourself if u r in lagos. When I registered for mine, I was in Agbara, Ogun State but I had to take the bank draft to British council, where they confirmed the date and issued me a receipt. I believe the 5days have elapsed but you can take a chance and go there asap and try to salvage the situation anyhow i.e be lucky to get same date or get another closer date.

For those outside lagos that have already taken the ielts, how did you do yours so others can know and learn.

Dear House,
I have been reading all the messages here about the UK spouse visa and they are encouraging thank you. I have a question about scan and send service. I live in the UK and my spouse is applying in Lagos. Can I send some documents from here while he still uses the scan service in Lagos? The guidance doesn't make clear if you can use both. It only talks about using either.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think the shared responsibility they r taking about has to do with what you and hubby share financially. In our case, we said yes that hubby pays rent, feeding and school fees while i take care of utilities, fuel, house maintenance etc.

There's another area where you r expected to fill your child's details or name, dob, nationality etc. Still go thru the whole form in details. Get like 3 copies and fill, correct error, etc till u r satisfied.

This is just my opinion.

Yet to be returned. She went to the post office yesterday when the tracking code was giving error. Later she called Sheffield and they said there is no problem, that it takes up to ten working days to send it after pick up of passport.
Seems the docs are reviewed by more than one case workers.
