No, they only paid one year. I have emailed the coordinator to remind and ensure they know they still owe us for another session/year and it is now overdue for most of us. So before NDDC decides to take us for another ride, rest assured we will not relent until they settle us once and for all.

Glad you have been paid. I fear for those owed two years. We are very few and the commission might not receive enough pressure to surrender payment as they will keep touting the current payment around.

Knowing Nigerians, they wont even that sympathetic towards our course as they will feel we should be grateful that one year was paid even!

But the money is so big we can't pay for it ourselves and we are still in same pot of debt as before

what still baffles me is that they had this money stacked up, and had to wait till pressure from all quarters came ...to disburse funds. Putting people's children in tight corners

She did answer me about the two year session. She said they haven't start processing 2nd year tuition. The tone didn't seem reassuring. She sounded like there isn't fund for that.

Very few people are owed two sessions and usually those in PhD program. I am afraid nddc may want to evade payment they are not pressured into. And I also hope NDDC isn't thinking that the money paid is meant for our personal pockets!

Yes, I sent mine last year (December) too. You know how they are, they must not have opened it 'cos they weren't ready to pay us then. Whatever the case, I have sent it again before they turn around and blame us for their incompetence.

I know NDDC will pay you if you move your resumption date as it is no fault of yours but theirs but you need to clarify/obtain approval with them first. I cannot say with absolute certainty if your university will allow you to defer your admission again. That is something you need to confirm from your school and the sooner the better so you know where you stand.

Is it a policy to maintain the rate of the year when the award was awarded or they jst calculate it as they please?

" sound ungrateful" as per say scholars should be so grateful to NDDC, like they've done u a favour in paying ur fees from their pockets; if not for the rot in the system, should we be so apprehensive to question those we put faith in.

I'm happy for ya'al but dnt make mistakes to think they've done anything spectacular.
since the cash they stacked in banks run by criminals has yielded so much they finally decided to dispense the capital
they are still a bunch of rotten thieves

Truth is since the award letter said 30k dollars, the value of the money should have been almost the same as the fluctuations between GBP and Dollars is not usually much. This has nothing to do with the value of naira because the award letter is in dollars.

I emailed the coordinator about this, she responded by asking me to send my tuition invoice which I informed the house in a previous post. This was on Monday. Other than that, she did not provide more info so I can't tell if this would be sorted out soon or is being considered for payments; nothing of the sort. It was simply 'Please kindly send your (3rd year) tuition invoice.'

I will contact her again for clarity.

The telex didn't reflect what sessional tuition was paid nor date. In a way, I cannot dicipher if this telex payment is different from the first one we received. I hope she isn't thinking I am complaining of having received no tuition at all!

This suppose new payment hasn't reflected in my school, (I understand it takes some days anyway) making the matter more confusing!

I just rechecked. Yes there is a coded date. I think its 9 jan. That was about same time I got credited for the first tuition. So I guessed she didn't even understand my email. So back to ground zero

Hello, at the moment I have not heard anything from her. I conferred with my colleagues and as it is for most of us, we have only been paid for one year tuition, no one is responding to our inquiries for the outstanding debt. I intend to check on her again next week. I think she is misreading your message. It may very well be the payment you have just received.

I'm happy we have been paid but nddc is the most inefficient body I've ever witnessed. They are all mute on 2017 list. I try to agitate for prospective scholars as much as I can on social media, nothing.
