I commend Anja. GOD bless your heart woman. This reminds me of Jesus' narrative on the Good Samaritan. The priest and the Levite who were fellow Jews and religious folks abandoned the traveller to his fate and imminent death. It took a complete stranger who was actually persona non grata to the Jews to show the deepest level of human kindness to the illfated wayfaring Jew. Anja has proven to be Christlike indeed irrespective of whatever toga with which we may choose to profile her.
One thing I however will have us take into cognisance, there's a possibility there are several "Anjas" in that same rural community who are totally emasculated by culture and financial deprivation.
Note: we talk about the good Samaritan but he did not only have a good heart, he had means- he had money.
It's a lot easier for Anja who is totally unconstrained by sociocultural taboos and norms and fully unencumbered by financial limitations to pull this stunt. Who will victimize her? Who will ostracize her? Even if they do how does that pull a strand of hair from her head? The same cannot be said for others within that same community who have the heart but not the means- social as well as financial.
The shame is however on we the so called elites.
Like someone rightly said earlier we are more concerned about our conceited vainglorious "instagram" lifestyle than the life and wellbeing of our fellow Nigerian. Flaunting multimillion naira wristwatches to what end exactly?

This is the typical story of the parable of the good samaritan. Everyone abandoned him even the so called religious ones but a stranger that looked in all forms like an outlaw with no knowledge of God attended to him. That's why at the end Jesus asked them "Who now was the Man's neighbour?" We have become too spiritual but have neglected the must important commandment. Honestly this is a lesson for me.

Nigerians should thank that Danish woman for saving that child my appeal to her is please never allow that boy to see those pictures when he grows up or else it may provoke in him a deep hatred for all Nigerians not to have rescued him until a foreigner had to wade into the matter.

Yet we have the highest number of churches, rich people etc but they looked away. May God have mercy on us in this nation. This boys picture now should touch the hearts of men and women in this nation in this 21st century to do away with all these nonsense beliefs and ideologies.
