Thanks guys, that was the worst case scenario.
This is the complete story, I met a lady on Instagram April last year, so we struck up a friendship which lead to us chatting via phone calls and videos calls, we are age mates 33yrs old, she's a mom of two little girls which I video chat with, 3 days a week and she is still in the process of finalizing her divorce.

She visited me in Nigeria on October to see my family, she spent a week in Nigeria and traveled back to the UK.

So I decide I should see her family and stay with her for at least 3months so I know I'm not making a mistake, then we can proceed getting married.

I work with a one of the top 3 telecoms company in Nigeria and a full staff for 5years plus now, so she decided to apply for a visitors visa for me as her being my sponsor in the UK, according to her - she would apply there for me and I would be sent an appointment to go for the biometric and she would provide everything she is asked to, like her passport information, bank statement, place of work etc.

She has all she needs, but I worry that I may fall short in providing what I need to prove that I'll come back. So like I said earlier, this is my first time leaving Nigeria, I was born in Venezuela, its on my passport but I was a kid then.

So I can provide my employment letter,
Employment letter of confirmation,
Letter from my company stating they are informed about my travelling.
Now my bank statement, I earn little over 90k a month, but no savings ( I know, I'm dumb. Lol) so there is little or no money there. I sold my car last week and was paid 830k for it, so that's pretty much all I've got in my salary account. The embassy would need last six months of my statement, so I'm asking for any advice,
1) should I send the money out, and have it sent back to me piece by piece so account is busy even though its my salary account?
2) how do I prove my family ties here? Ive no idea on how to go about that?
This is the complete story, so guys please what can I do to ensure I have a good chance in getting this visa, please any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Your best bet in this situation is through spouse visa application because with that your financial situation or tie to Nigeria matters not.

AS it stands you don't have a strong tie to Nigeria because your salary is low and you had to sale your car to have a meaningful saves, that is a sign of somebody who is preparing to leave Nigeria by all means.

Even as she can afford to sponsor you its your responsibility to show strong tie to Nigeria.

Let her finish the divorce process then you two can get married and apply for spouse visa. Getting a visiting visa now will be a tough nut to crack

Thanks justwise, if I wanted to prove I have strong family ties how would I do that?? Apart from my job?? And concerning the money I got from selling my car, I could move that around so it don't seem like I just lodged the money in my account because I want to travel. Also I tort her applying from the UK on my behalf could be an advantage?

Thanks

Moving around makes no sense if you can't support the source, that can only complicate issues for you.

There is no advantage applying from the UK at all.

I will advise that you see an immigration lawyer, why? Immediately she disclosed in her application form that her father is a British Citizen. She is more likely to be refuse as she is underage and a potential overstayer. There are centre in Lagos which is recognized by the Home office for DNA parentage test. Bottom line let her and her dad do a DNA test and apply for her British passport. Or use the study route i.e student visa.
Hello ekpotek sorry for disturbing you again bro i chatted with her dad this evening and he told me this as regards the paternity test '' ABOUT PATERNITY TEST, UNLESS THEY'VE JUST CHANGED THE RULE, IT'S NOT ALWAYS COMPULSORY BUT DO REQUEST FOR THAT IF THEY ARE IN DOUBT OF THE REALTIONSHIP''
i don't know how true this is if we should kick start the application...........cc ekpotek

I assume you are talking about priority tier 2 application, it costs extra £184 (per applicant) , and takes about 4-5working days. I did jst last week with dependants.

By the way, IOM TB result and certificates should be out same day, or did you do sputum test? Why is it taking that long?

The paternity test is necessary if she will apply for her British passport as birth certificate will not be sufficient. For a visit visa, the ounce is for her to prove that she will return back to Nigeria. This to me is difficult given that she is potentially a British Citizen. I see a refusal, but she can give it a try, Anything can happen.

Good morning. I appreciate the good work you doing on this platform.
My question is my friend is having is wedding in March and he wants me to attend, I just finished service(NYSC) and I'm currently undergoing IT training at NIIT. I have a joint account with my dad with substantial amount and my friend is taking care of my responsibility when i get there(UK). Do I stand any chance of securing the visa. Thanks for you anticipated responses
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by alert20: 1:54pm On Feb 06, 2018
you need to present prove that you can withdraw from the joint account... you can get a reference letter from the bank confirming you as a sole signatory to the account...

lastly ask your friend to send you
1 invitation letter
2 passport data page
3 utility bill (water or electricity bill)
4 his statement of account

and you can get this letter from NIIT

1 introduction letter address to the embassy.
2 leave letter.
3 evidence of payment to NIIT ...

attach your flight itinerary and hotel reservation if you are not staying with him

you can also book a tour check goldentours.com Londonpass.com

Hello everyone, applied for UK visa renewal for MIL, got an email with VAF no from Sheffield that it will be assessed soon. And today got an email from TLS: Dear applicant with GWF no, your application has been processed and ready for for collection. My question is, UKVI no longer sends email to say that application has been assessed. Is this a new development or am I just worried for no reason. Please all the gurus in the house, help out. Thank you.

A tier 2 visa application is more than that. What you need is a visit visa. This does not require TB test. You can check on UKVI website for the cost which depend on duration either 6 months, 2 years, 5 years or 10 years. If you want a quick decision, pay for priority. All these information is available on the TLS website.

Hi People, I need help. Just completed visitor's visa form online, and made payment. The checklist says I should come with my Passport, other passport (to expire in June), and other documents. My issue is, I need the old/second passport for an IELTS exam this weekend, I cannot afford to submit both passports on my appointment date (thursday 6th of Feb).

Two questions, does Teleperformance withhold supporting documents (in my case, which includes my old passport) after reviewing and making copies of my documents? I understand that my new passport will be retained.

Also, if they are going to hold my old passport, can I defer my appointment till Monday? Not forgetting to mention it that I need the visa by Thursday 1 March, 2018. If I defer till Monday, possible that the visa comes out by 1st of March?

Help my life!
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Ijeshalomo(m): 9:12pm On Feb 06, 2018
Hi bro,

Teleperformance will not collect your about to expire passport. Make copies of the visa pages on your old passport. These visa copies is what they would scan and give back your old passport and copies to you.
Your new passport would be collected cos that is where your visa will come on. So be rest assured that you would still be able to use your old passport for your IELTS exam

Thanks

(1) What are the chances of granting 2 weeks UK visiting visa to a self employ that does not have register company but running the business very well with good personal savings account. Is it possible to be granted 2 weeks visiting visa with the above circumstances?

Please house, help address this issue.

(2) Is it a must for someone inviting his cousin to send along his statement of account after sending all the following:
1 invitation letter
2 passport data page
3 utility bill (water or electricity bill)

Please House, your attention is highly needed in this regards.

My good people, I specially greet you all. Please I would like to make an enquiry about filling online form for group of 3pple visiting the UK for conference next month. A friend told me there is nothing like group application that individual will have to fill his or her form while they submit together at the embassy same time. Please enlighten me on this and also I tried filling an individual form online, it's requesting for GWF number which I don't know how to go about it. Please the Gurus in the house should assist, cos I intend to fill the form today.

Thank you

Hello house

@justwise @ekpotek

Please biko help me out.

Is it advisable for a woman working with an appreciable job to apply for a visit visa with a two months old baby?
They plan on visiting the sister and ostensibly baby's auntie.
The woman is married and earns a decent income. She has a two refusal history (whiles in University)

What are the possible red flags to avoid ?
Should she apply with the baby or drop it?

I will be happy if your esteemed selves could advise me
Thank you

Your salary level is good you don't need any financial help from your current company and they shouldn't fund your personal leisure trip.

Apply after 6months with the current company and submit your salary account and payslips supported with employment letter.

Hello Justwise,
Please i want to apply for a Uk visa to attend a 6 day conference in scotland. The program is related to my job description and both i and my employer will benefit immensely. I already have an invitation letter from the organizers who advised that we shouldn't pay the conference just yet but to get the visa first before doing so. My employer (a priavate university) will sponsor all that concerns the conference. My salary is not much (100k in naira).
The challenge here is that i have had 3 denials from 3 embassies (US 2014, Canada 2014 and Ireland 2017). My fear is what this will do to the possibility of getting this visa
Pls, what do you think
