I wholeheartedly agree with you @Abbadmus.....the guy who goes by the moniker Ubatech is a thief and a scammer.....I lost 5k to him last month.....and he suddenly didnt bother to send me the tutorial videos which he had promised.. I'm just grateful that it wasn't more money i lost to him.

the aim of this thread was and is strictly for nonprofit making...I created this thread for us to share ideas and also assist people having issues with their various software......am surprised someone is scamming people already...


mind you....I have a brand that teaches CADs as a consultant which I mentioned earlier and I Neva advertise here for anything.....I think have done it once tho......the aim is to make this platform totally free....

pls guys, before taking any action, always ask questions........ask me, ask anybody from this group.....if you need tutorials, people would definitely point u to credible sources....

I have done lots a d lots of business transactions (civil engineering designs) on freelance websites like fiverr and co without even seeing the client. and it gets funny how people run off when they noticed you are a Nigerian....this is really sad .

do u have the installation file already? if yes, is it a 32bit file or 64??

you must make sure you are installing a 32 bit software on a 32 bit system...same applies to 64 bit also....after DAT, you are good to go

so, I took someone's advice on this thread and downloaded prota structure ( the new Orion) and I was impress....the software is really great, tho it still has some disadvantages...like the detailing is still not in the Nigerian way.......orion details panel by panel... prota details in an improved way buh still doesn't call the bars out.


so, my advice for you guys is to uninstall orion and install prota structures..

there are lot of things which could have caused it and one of them is your system properties....what is your system specification (ram and processor).......
how massive/large is the modeled building

have u run any analysis on this software b4 or this is your first?

am afraid the only option is to reinstall the Orion 18 in case of any corrupted file....... or you simply install the update that comes with the software

I haven't as i Just started, however, to the number 2 question above, i tried running analysis of a simple structure, and it was hitch-free, Orion didn't hang, I then tried running the analysis of the former project and it got hanged again.

its obvious that your system memory can't process the file u r giving it.......what is ur system processor? and also, did u import ur file from AutoCAD into Orion?

it happens atimes when the memory is overloaded (taking too long on a project is one of the cause).....closing and restarting refreshes the memory... well-done sir

Taking preliminary sections for the building involves using instincts based on experience.....then u load and analyse it...if it fails, then u increase the section (dimension)

You later claimed those links did not work, even after I have u links to extra programs that we didn't bargain for. This forum does not approve sharing links, else I would have dropped these links here, but I call out to u: I dare u to make those links available to any nairalander of ur choice and let him confirm the authenticity of the links. As for d video tutorials, I offered to give them to u of my own will, as a way to encourage ur interest in the profession. If anything I said here is false, point it out. You are an ingrate, and I refuse to belittle myself to the point of exchanging names with u.

@abbadmus, u quoted I gave trial versions of "... this program..." on a comment I made regarding Orion and staadpro, when our transaction was on Civilsoft Quick series. How balanced are u sir? I advertised and transacted with u, a version of Quickseries Civilsoft that performs the exact function the fully licensed and registered one does. The only difference being that it does not save d work done. Once u start ur design, u have to complete it and export ur design results to PDF or dxf and then exit d program, or u hibernate ur system until after design. This is d same version I've given out to lots of people, even in this forum, that can't afford the cost of the fully licensed program, and it's d same program I gave to u. U call me a scam and their for giving u this "trial version", u didn't say how u asked me to refund on d basis that you already had this version. Now, should I degrade to ur level to call u names too for attempting to " defraud " me? Did u ask me about the nature of my program, like others did, or did u tell me u already had a certain version so I could tell u if I also had it, before u transacted with me?
Again, I call out to anyone I've actually defrauded on this forum, among those that have transacted with me.

If I may suggest, I'd advice u rerun ur model from scratch. If U import ur axis/grid lines again, and d design hangs again, then I suggest u remodel without importing those axis. See if u can remodel by drawing ur axis lines from scratch without importing. From ur uploaded image, ur design hangs just at the building model check at the building analysis design. The building model check is the part where the program checks the grid lines and their proper intersection. So if the axis lines don't intersect at a point, that is, if two or more grid lines don't intersect at A POINT, it will hang at that design stage.
