Any idea on a big important of high gloss porcelain and high gloss ceramic tiles of good quality 80×80 Floor tiles. I am after the big size ones, plain and glossy/ shiny finish . What price do they go for and any idea on a big importer with variety of colours and good quantity.

This Big Ones can go for as much as N5,000 to N6,000 per Sq.m. Depending on Quality

Hello Sir, novice question when you say per sq metre how many 80×80 Tiles makes up a square meter? Is one piece 5 to 6k? Or a pack of 2 or 4?

One and half number of 80 x 80 tiles make up a square meter.
He meant one square meter is 5k to 6k not a single piece.

Rate of POP precast will differ based on design and project volume. But the least you can get for POP ceiling using plasterboard is N4,500/sqm

I believe, if you have POP as N1,000, the Plasterboard will be N1,400 as per that ratio.

If you want to build a house what ate the steps

I m not an expert but let me try to be of help before they show up

1.Assuming you ve a land already..I think the first step will be to survey it and register the coordinates and settle the paper works associated with it.

2. you can then pass the coordinates to architect for him to design that dream house of yours...while at this I will encourage you to start reading threads about building a house..pick a house similar to yours. that way you get to learn about the stages and materials involved in each stage.

3. get the bill of quantities from your quantity surveyor..... you can sum up 2 and 3 together and get the service at once.

4. take your plan to the local authorities and get a building approval ..hopefully you re not from any of those states demanding huge chunk of money to get the approval.

5. from here on ..it depends on if you want to completely hand the job over to an engineer/contractor or if you wanna go the DIY route. if you hand over the job the firm simply employs the workers and build the house and if you go DIY....you will have to act as the project manager source for materials and employ workers, even at that I will recommend you have an engineer supervise or pay the site a visit on key days..eg setting out..foundation ...german floor ..formation etc.

this up here is just a suggestion.

Can't you simply list your per hour rate for each type and your transportation cost per mile for each type if it's not inclusive of the per hour rate?

It's an ambitious project though but car parking nko?

I'm not sure owners can park their cars in the compound or is it the photo? I think the fence both front fence and side are not necessary; make the whole project look jam packed and actually devalue the project. I would take out the fence. Again, I think the vendors should have dealt with infrastructure, utilities and amenities first before the actual built. But it's and ambitious project with good potential. It only needs good project management with a strategic plane execution geared to the market segment the vendors are aiming to attract.
