My bank type corolla has been shorting oil recently. To my amazement my mechanic said that's the early sign that the engine is going off.
I need advise, is there a type of oil you'll suggest for me now considering the new 'status' the car want to attain soon ( I use Mobil 1 presently).
Also, are there things I should watch-out for as I'm planning to travel this weekend (my first with the car).

So your trip doesn't turn out to be a disaster.

Top up the oil, make sure it is at the maximum.

Buy a 4 or 5 liter can of the same oil put in the car storage compartment

Every time you stop to refuel please check your oil...oh its a corolla so stop to check oil level even if you don't refuel every 200 kilometers

Is it a 2000 to 2002 model?

Best of luck.

Do same to coolant ensure it's at maximum before you leave.

Stop buying substandard bulbs Buy toks they are cheap and last long, in accessories that do not require a lot of illumination you can use led bulbs, , fasten the accessories with faulty bulbs firmly so they don't hang loose. Put the right hair pressure in tyres, too much air will mean too much shock on potholes.

Hello. Please I drive a 2003 Honda accord EOD. I had a problem with its Steering rack which was leaking and made the steering hard. The steering pump was also making noise which I was told was caused by the leaking rack so I took it to Ladipo where it was fixed. After fixing the rack, the steering became soft but the pump was still making noise. After some weeks my mechanic advised to let him go and fix the pump in Ladipo so it wouldn't damage the rack I went to fix and regrettably, I agreed. After fixing the pump, the noise stopped but steering is hard again. Please what can I do?
