Yes, Onitsha is the largest city in the SE. Onitsha is thrice the size of Owerri. Hit your barehead on the floor.

Ikengawo, we run NL, so we know everyone on this forum even with their different monikers. Keep deceiving yourself. Fool

Ikengawo, stop smoking rubbish and tell us how big is Owerri. Onitsha has grown beyond the original Onitsha. The city has grown into a metropolitan city into Ogbaru, Obosi, Oba, Ogbunike, Ogidi, Nsugbe and now heading to Nkwerre Ezunaka.

Bros, seems you don't know how far? Onitsha has gone beyond Nteje, Oba, and Aguleri sef and you are talking of those closer ones.

I know you're emotional, but I deal in the world of facts and information so be patient. While Onitsha was growing Enugu and Aba were shrinking?
It's a globally accepted statistical fact that Enugu and Aba are bigger than Onitsha.

Onitsha metro area is a very vertical one unlike most cities in the East and that explains the very high population density. Onitsha metro area population trounces any SE city.
Onitsha isn't only Onitsha north and South LGA alone but increasingly incoporating Idemili north and South , Ogbaru, Oyi and Anambra east LGAs too.

Do you know according to google. Awka is bigger than onitsha. But onitsha has the largest metropolitan area in the whole of southeast covering about 1965km square and enugu is just 556km square.
Most don't and wouldn't understand your grammar, break it down please.
Most still think that the major competitors to Onitsha are Aba, Owerri and Enugu, not knowing that Awka is increasingly stealing the show.
We are one and same and that solves the whole issue.

Odume, Awada, Ugwuagba layouts in Obosi alone trounces Enugu hands down in population with of course our normal 4-5 storey architecture making it one of the most densely places in the world.
Adding Nkpor, 3-3, Iyiowa, Ogidi, Nkwelle etc is just like disturbing anyone who feels that Onitsha starts from from Bridgehead to Upper Iweka.

The only reason i did not reply the slowpoke called Chino was that he simply wanted to introduce e-war into this thread. He isn't Igbo, he is one of those lizards hovering around Igbo threads to help create hatred among Igbos. I didn't want to insult Anam people simple because that lizard called Chino claims to be from there.

I beg the sane people in this thread to exercise restraint. let us collectively put the devil called Chino to shame. Let us stop quoting him. No matter what he does to connive and bring division among us using his monikers, let us shame him by simply ignoring him.

Ikengawo stop embarrassing yourself. So in your mind Benin and Ilorin are more populated than Onitsha? Stop using useless links, even Google can not give you correct figures. Go on ground to cure your ignorance. It is only Lagos, kano, Ibadan and maybe Abuja are more populated than Onitsha. Go on ground and cure your madness.

Even NPC placed Kano ahead of Lagos, how can you explain that? Now this your figures placed Lagos far ahead of Kano. Please correlate NPC data with yours.

My dear, forget about that your stat. Enugu is a State and Enugu city does not have dimension so any population quote is possible. Okay, lets be frank, where and where is Enugu city. Onitsha has direction and boundaries as of before and thats why in 2006 census, Onitsha population was estimated to be around 550000. Now Onitsha and its metropolis is over 2.5 million. Quote me on that. In fact http://www.demographia.com/db-worldua.pdf stated 7 mil.

Boy stop arguing blindly, Anambra is most populated state in southeast, Onitsha metro is largest in southeast, do you know Obosi is more populated than Onitsha, Idemili north is most populated LG in Anambra and four towns from Idemili north falls under Onitsha metropolis: Obosi, Nkpor, Ogidi, Oba and other LGs also make-up Onitsha metropolis Oyi and Ogbaru, the census figure didn't capture those areas together with Onitsha figure.

like pictures below, Nkpor ane Obosi Idemili north LGA part of Onitsha metro

Yes I also saw the post were Onitsha was stated to have about 7 million people in it, there's no reason to compare Enugu to Onitsha in terms of population, Onitsha is the most populated city in the whole of South East.

At Marine road, the commissioner warned sand dredgers on the bank of River Niger to move their retaining walls away from the road as it constitutes obstruction to the flow of traffic.

Obiano is bent on cleaning up Anambra but I want more.

I want more and more trees.

Standard public toilets.

Clean paved roads without sand dunes.

Better drainage system.

Grasses and green every where.

Every house must knock down their fences and plant trees and grasses

Every house must remodel their exterior and repaint it.

I want a squeaky clean, green and beautiful Anambra in 10yrs.
