hello guys,
I submitted a paper application on april the 30th, and I got a medical request on may the 25th.
However, after conducting my medicals on may the 28th, I haven't heard back from CIC.
I linked my application online and its showing 'We have requested a medical exam. We will send you a letter or email with details.'
Is this normal? I felt it should be showing that my medicals are under review or something.
Is it possible that my results weren't sent? I really dont know what to think.
Thanks.

Hello people!

Great job here. I only just stumbled on this thread and I have learnt a whole lot from you all.

Could someone please share their thoughts on this issue:

I applied for student permit (online route) on May 16. Did upfront medicals. Got medicals passed update on June 11. But I read somewhere on the previous parts of this thread that a letter from your bank stating that you would be able to export your funds should be part of the documents uploaded in support of an application for student permit.

I didn't include this when I applied. Should I get the letter and mail it to CIC or should I wait to see if they request for it?

Thank you.

That's interesting, for Electrical and Computer Engineering its a must for both MEng and MASC... Funny thing is I did their admission precheck like two months ago and I'm yet to get a go ahead due to high number of applicants.

By the way is it true that its only when you study in Ontario that's when you get opportunity to stay some years to work after study

AKFTK:

For my department, Computer Science, no approval was is required. You would be contacted by a supervisor interested in your application.

Only difference is if you intend to pursue a PhD degree in the future, then having an MASc is much better than MEng. Otherwise, you can go ahead and apply for MEng. To the best of my knowledge, Canadian employers do not discriminate between MASc and MEng. They are all "Masters".

Thanks boss, that was very helpful

Nope, not true. Anyone who graduates from an eligible post-secondary institution anywhere in Canada is eligible for a Postgraduate Work Permit (PGWP) as long as he did not violate the terms of his study permit. The duration of the PGWP depends on the duration of your studies in Canada.

Bro... someone gave you an advise but you seem not to have taken it atall and I noticed. We all learning here though and we understand how ambiguous this whole process is. From my point of view what you have together isn't feasible to scale through so you don't waste your money. Firstly You in a common law relationship with 2kids and you want to take everyone to Canada at once. It's marriage that can only work for that. They should be your home ties. You are simply relocating as they put it. And your wife doesn't have the financial strength then how would it work except you earn like 1million per month minimum. You ddnt mention if it's masters or pgd sef, ohhh I remb it's college which doesn't carry enough weight as Univ

The advise someone gave you is the most logical one. Get to Canada first befr dreaming of relocating your family and if not probably for one of the kids you could get lucky.

Relocating family works for company owners based on those that I have seen not students who are likely to still seek funding one way or the other.... I'm only opinionated, I might be wrong though. Almost everyone has someone who is family and good to take along when it pans out well, but it's called extra or excess baggage.

Hello,

I actually got admission for sept 2018 last year. I took my time to analyze all I would need to submit at the embassy. I submitted this march 2018.

My Advice to you would be to defer the admission so you can have good time to gather your documents while you also roundup youth service. Make a list of all possible documents needed. Mark them out as you gather them. Lay the foundation for your SOP. Start building it. Trust me you need time to write a good SOP.

Warm wishes

Hello Nairalanders,

Is it normal that you get an email that there is an update on your account, but when you check no update?

MrsDaniels

Hello Ma,
This question of yours has already been answered before regarding the documents you and your hubby(spouse) needs to submit. CHECK THIS
Also, you can quickly chat up with the VFS officals to inquire if the common law form is mandatory to be filled.

geotherm,

Firstly, After scanning your documents, start compressing each and every one of them using Microsoft office picture manager, compress the quality of each document by clicking on Edit Pictures option which can be found on the top bar. Then select Compress for: documents. After which, you then merge all this documents using smallpdf.com, and compress it again using smallpdf.com. You will get your documents quality within the range of 2.55MB-3MB leaving them with an original outlook.

Good luck!

yes, I will take their study leave for the children

Question
1. Do you take police report for your wife?
I know children does not need police report
2. Do you fill form for your own siblings, as in your brother and sister
3. Do you include your in-law birth certificate as in your father and mother in-law birth certificate

goingforward:

You need ''study leave letter'' from your children's school indicating the period they will be away and when they will return. Also inquire about schools/daycare close to the location of where you will be studying in Canada, then attach your email trail inquiries to your application.

I also submitted a family application.

I understand how u feel. Here is what I did.
It's amazing how WhatsApp reduces the size of documents without altering the quality.
If u hv two WhatsApp profiles.
1. Convert the documents you want to compress to jpeg.
2. Using your first WhatsApp profile send them to the second profile.
3. Then download and see how the size will be outrageously reduced eg. It can reduce a 400kb jpeg doc to 60kb without affecting the quality.
4. Finally crop out extra space, convert and merge with www.jpg2pdf. com
For further clarification PM me I will happy to help with that.

Goldenegg:
Greetings my people.
So I was refused study permit yesterday.

My question is this : can I apply for the permit from within Canada? I already have a scheduled trip to Canada in July/ August because I have visitor visa valid till 2020.

Please I have a question.
If one successfully top up his HND to BSc with a recognized school in Nigeria, how possible can you proceed to master abroad ? The reason for my question is this, I read in one school in Canada that for you to be considered for masters, you must have BSc with study period of not less than 3yrs.

My fear is that, if you top up in 2yrs, won't this be reflected in your result and thereby falling short of the above threshold?

Please a well informed individual should clear me on this.

aybee4991,

Your profile by now should to be indicating "MEDICAL PASSED". Calm down okay! Try getting in touch with the hospital where you completed your medical test, to be sure if they have sent your medical result to CIC. But, I think they should have done that long ago.

GOOD Afternoon house, please i need your advice.I applied for Canada study permit and i was refused permit because of the following reasons; I have not satisfied that you would leave Canada at the end stay of your as a temporary resident. I considered several factors, including; travel history, purpose of visit, personal assets and financial status. Please bear in mind that, I have only traveled to Ghana before, and I paid $8k out of $14k school fees and got scholarship and study leave from my employer amounting to $7k and had 3.5m account balance. Also, I am self sponsored, attached my employment letter and confirmation letter.
Please how do I take it up from there ?
