Please what are the implications of removing a bad catalyst without putting back a replacement?
My Kazeem is suggesting i remove it, that apart from high fuel consumption there is no other implications. But if I don't remove it, that it may get my engine damaged.
Urgent please.

Engine spec [Toyota avalon 2001]
Symptom [rattle noise from the engine].
And he is suggesting that engine may already have developed problem because of the bad catalyst.
Just so confused.

Replace both parts with new parts and not used parts.

For a 17year old car, the stock catalytic converter has no business inside there and should have been replaced with a new one years ago. Removing the catalytic converter is a welcomed idea.

hello GAZZUZZ, thanks for a wonderful contribution on this thread. please I have a 2012 kia cerato with a failing transmission. what could be the possible causes and more importantly what ATF would you say is best for it? I would also like you to prepare my mind for the cost range for a new/fairly used (if can be found) gearbox for this. its a 2.0l engine. thanks.

my Mitsubishi gallant station wagon 1998 [b]throttled to pick on packing [/b]but throttle between 1and 2 on loading. Just bought new throttle sensor and fixed by rewire. Rewire found out that one of the wires of the sensor connector has been detached. Could this be cause of the car problem not being able to throttle on loading or is there other things affecting the car. Please my gurus help. Thanks.

I had a scan done on my car (Toyota Yaris 08) and I discovered a fault (c1403 malfunction in Rear current ABS/VSC/TRC Speed Sensor RH circuit, C1241 Low or High power current ABS/VSC/TRC supply voltage), please I would want your expert advice, an auto-mechanic said I should change the hub. Is that the right thing to do, is the faulty sensor attached to the hub or a standalone.
