Between governor okorocha, senator ken nnamani,dr ogbonnaya onu,dr orji kalu and senator chris ngige, who has the biggest chance of being president im 2023 if it is zoned to the south east? Personally,i will prefer dr ogbonnaya onu but i know okorocha and ouk will likely get it. |

In as much as I am not against an Igbo presidency, please bear it in mind that the presidency cannot be microzoned to the south east. The presidency will return to the south in 2023 and all eligible and interested aspirants from south west, south east and south south will legitimately vie for it. 21 Likes 1 Share |

Lol, you all are doing everything to jeopardize the party in the election coming up in 2019, and then you expect the party to dash the presidential candidate to you in 2023! How myopic and irrational can some people be 9 Likes 2 Shares |

I can't laugh, 2023 election is going to be a year of Igbo's faith. The only hope for them is if Tinubu do not try to contest on nominate the candidate because North wouldn't ever vote/support any candidate from Southeast. Restructuring is the only answer anything else is child play. And if not let me just "tookhe" here and watch out they want play the game. 2 Likes |

Just come to read comments from Southwesterners. There is nothing like Southern Nigeria, we may have Northern Nigeria but not South. It's either East or West. The North will support Nigerian presidency of Igbo extraction but majority of southwesterns will either stay home or vote a fringe candidate if the two major parties were to field candidate from Southeast 2 Likes |

LadyExcellency: In 2019, PDP is likely to field an Igbo vice presidential candidate with a Northerner. If that happens, and APC still retain Osinbajo or any Swesterner as VP, igbos will naturally vote PDP enmasse thus ensuring they will not be in APC contention for 2023 if APc wins! Politics is not emotion! It’s all about interest and where the votes will come from. Don’t be too sure about the bold as there has not been any antecedent to support such assertion and with the recent bad blood with the north arising from your Biafra nonsense, it may not be feasible to guarantee such support 18 Likes 1 Share |

gurnam: In 1999, Obasanjo was PDP candidate, Olufalae was AD Candidate while Ogbonnaya Onu was Presidential candidate for ANPP. Yet Ogbonnaya Onu was forced to step down for AD Candidate through merger. We had no option but two Yoruba candidates. Why wouldn't the same be applicable? Why wouldn't Southwesterners in APC stepdown for Ogbonnaya Onu to fly APC presidential flag in 2023? As for the comment in bold, you can take that to the bank, majority of APC Stewarts will opt for Igbo candidate for presidency, but the Southwest will logically insist on Osinbajo or Tinubu. 4 Likes |

An Igbo Presidency in the foreseable future is DOA given the toxic brand of politics the Ibos play. They follow blindly and oppose blindly as well. They are divisive within and without. How can they provide unified leadership. After all, in Igboland, there is no king, everybody is a king.. 9 Likes 1 Share |

LadyExcellency: Stop comparing Apple with oranges!! MKO Abiola was denied the Presidency he won in 1993 and the nation was on edge! The only way the death of abiola can be remedied and the military junta save their face is to concede the Presidency to the SW, while OBJ was the candidate of the establishment, the real Yoruba candidate Olu Falae was defeated by the combination of forces that don’t want the yorubas to produce the President. On the other hand, your own argument for the Presidency can also be argue by over 200 tribes in Nigeria. You have to play your political game in a manner that the APC will see you as loyalists of the party not fair weather members that are only interested to be given Presidency ticket in 2023. If it comes down to fair primaries, no Ibo man can beat Osinbajo or Fashola for the APC ticket in 2023. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

LadyExcellency:Ma,southeast getting the presidency in 2023 depends on the percentage of votes they contribute next year.anything short of 30% will foreclose the eastern chance.it now behoves on okorocha, ouk, ngige and onu to deliver their respective states or at least poll significant votes from there. Am also looking at possibility though far fetched of obiano joining apc before 2023 to snatch the ticket.tony nwoye or andy ubah can pull a shocker.rotimi amaechi can also claim ibo and join the fray 2 Likes |

LadyExcellency: Ok. I wonder the kind of politics you expect APC to play if Igbos in APC cannot deliver their electorates to the party. You want to eat you cake and have it by still voting massively for PDP in 2019 and then expect APC to dash you their own ticket in 2023. You work for Zenith Bank, but want to draw your reward in Access Bank, even God is against such injustice. 5 Likes |

LadyExcellency: That there is something fundamentally wrong with the IBO brand of politics is not in doubt. In this present day where alliances are often difficult to form, it is foolhardy to embark on politics of hate and exclusion. When alliances are ready to be formed groups with natural affinity will usually bond together. Simply put your so called 'almajiris' will naturally.fuse with the 'Afonja moslems'. That is natural selection. 4 Likes 1 Share |

@LadyExcellency all your debates lack depths and there is no ethnic group in Nigeria that goes about with so much hate and bitterness like the ones, and if you think that an average northerner will vote a candidate from from the south eastern ethnic group then it clearly shows you no next to nothing about politics in Nigeria. Going forward I think most likely in 2013 we will likely have APC fielding a Yoruba candidate and PDP going with an Ibo candidate. 4 Likes |
