Id assume budget means you do not want to throw a party...

These are the three options

Option number 2 and my plan for GB's 2nd birthday.
If your baby doesn't go to creche.

Get a small cake 8_12k

Get two cartons of malt, I dunno what that costs, maybe 4k
Take pictures with your phone

Share the cake and drinks with neighbours and any other places where the baby has fans. Don't invite them to your house, just package it and take to them. (I've seen stuff on my desk at work sometimes and id ask from where and they would say someone's baby turned +1).

Option number 3. Mini party
Cook a big cooler of rice
Buy drinks
Get a cake
Get a cheap photographer
Fix the birthday party on a weekend if it didn't fall there.
Text close friends and family to come by, you don't even have to specify the time. Everyone would come by at different times, eat, gist and go.

Miscellaneous if your money is still remaining cheesy
Cute birthday outfit(s)10k more or less
You can always go to a cheap studio and do a photoshoot, i hear studio24 or whatever is not charging 100k like the rest of them cheesy
Also instead of taking pictures with your phone, you can call a good roadside photographer or that one that hangs out at your church on Sundays. Don't mention the words 'one year old' or 'photoshoot', just tell them there's a small get together in your house and begin to bargain like an Ijebu.

if your baby goes to Creche,

Get a small cake 8-12k

Get party packs, maybe a modest party pack, there are some I've seen that came in tiny nylons with just sweets, biscuits, ribena and a small toy, maybe whistle inside. Guess like 5k can take care of this type of party pack depending on how many kids you have to give. It doesn't have to be this basic tho, for GBs first birthday, i put one story book, one stuffed animal then just loaded the bag with sweets and children's drinks.

Take these to the creche, they would sing happy birthday and you take pictures with your phone. cheesy

Beautiful mamas please come to my rescue o cry this is my adorable son back and butt, he's just 3 months old. Initially I was using Johnson lotion and I started seeing some rashes on his face so I stopped and prepared coconut oil myself and that's what have been using on his skin since last month. This thing has refused to go, I have used mupiderm, agenesia powder and bath him with black soap but this thing is just stubborn. It is also on the back of his head. The back you are seeing is opposite of his front because his face and tummy is spotless. Beautiful mamas please what can I use o . God bless you for reading
Why not stop the black soap and take him to the hospital, i am sure the baby most be in pains other sabi mamas will you more answers.

Mamas pls what can I use for my baby"s skin, he has an extremely dry skin(from his father o). I have to apply ori always on his face so his face his not as dry as other parts of his body that is somehow scaly sef. My mum said the ori I use as his body cream doesn't contain enough oil that's why his body still looks dry after applying. I was thinking twas the weather.
Also he doesn't like lying down again, he's always struggling/crying to sit up & look around for what I don't know and he'd be 3months by next week. At what month can I start sitting him up?

LOL grin same with my baby and he is 3 months. So I support him to sit on my body and sometimes I use pillow for just a few minutes to support him on a bed. U can help him practice until he can start sitting on his own. I'm a new mom and I am telling you what my mum advised me to do. Other mothers fit chook mouth.

Jeez is his bum red, that looks painful. Are you sure it's not heat rashes. Which of the products discoloured his back like that.

Try baby tribotan, just very little at a time so he won't sweat. Maybe he's sweating too much on his back, wear him lighter clothes and no diaper, make sure the room is airy at night, and let him sleep on his tummy for now. Use hot water to press the rashes while bathing him morning and night. Just always try to keep the back clean and dry for now. If it still persists, go to the hospital.

Since it is just the back, it might not be his cream or soap, afterall you use it allover his body. Stop everything and watch him. Stop dettol in the water, just boil his bath water hours before you will need it. For his bum, you will need to air it as much as possible. What barrier cream do you use?

I use Vaseline for my son, whenever i notice anything funny( which is very rare), i mix Vaseline with baby tribotan and wear a bigger sized diaper, so his skin doesn't touch d diaper.

Last last, you might need to go to the hospital if it persists.

To make sure I was more at peace, I made sure the creche is attached to a normal school, I think those ones take more care, u know, they have an image to protect well. They are usually more expensive sha, but I don't deal with people that have little or nothing to lose

StrongWoman333:
Dear Mama's, please I have a topic of discussion. I met a friend today who asked about my baby and I told her she was in creche. She told me it was too early that I would have allowed her clock at least 1year I told her I had no choice... She said most of those caregivers only do it for the sake of the money that besides I don't know what goes on there. Since then I've been so worried and confused... I thought putting a child in creche is a good idea esp for mothers that don't really have the full time. She also said the child can't really express themselves on what goes on there. Mama's what do you all think about this topic

Maybe you should be placing him inside bouncer once he clock 3 months if you have any presently and be careful not to raise it up too much so he won't have to be standing on his leg yet.

Thanks momma once again. She's doing great took her to hospital and was examined( no test, just physical examination) and the doc said it's food poisoning (roll eyes)which to me is impossible because am watchful of everything and everyone around. Last last sha, he prescribed zinc, ors and flaggyl syrup. It is well, don't know nursing a baby is this strenuous (sighs). Thanks sis for checking on us.

Our first potty training was successful today. Before bathing her this morning, removed her diaper and placed her in the potty to poo. She did the poo in the potty. After that, I sang for her and clapped. She smiled before she had her bath. She is 8month plus wink grin grin grin

HOW TO ATTRACT A GOOD CHILD: TIPS ON CHILD TRAINING:

Of a truth I tell you, almost all the children born into the world are replicas of their fathers and mothers. What does that denote? It means if you are pristine in spirit, your child will be pure in spirit. If you are pristine in flesh, your child will be pure in flesh. On the other hand, however, if you are addicted to alcohol and drugs, your child will come forth into this world with those contamination. Early in life, children must be taught to work and avoid falling into idleness. Teach them to be positive and have great and unshakable faith in the temple of God residing within them, to enable them overcome failure and disease. Make them realize according to their faith, it will be done unto them. Parents are advised not to over task their children, or neither inflict pain upon them.
