if we can be sustaining this, at least 2 times a weak, BHT will start rebelling and would self implode.....this almost happened when Jonathan was head of state, and there was a major offensive.

then the government, can start looking at the root cause of the issue and find palliatives, and ways to bring education and economic growth in the parallel, but i m against, any rehabilitation and reintegration of bht, they either abandon their course and run away or die......the BHT terrorists are the main vip in kirikiri prisons, with privileges akin to corrupt government officials.

FALSE REPORTS OF AIRCRAFT DELIVERING ITEMS IN AKUKWE FOREST AREA OF ENUGU STATE

The attention of Headquarters Ground Training Command (HQ GTC) Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Enugu has been drawn to a story being circulated by some mischievous, misguided elements purporting that NAF helicopters were being used to “drop” weapons for Fulani herdsmen in the forest area of Akwuke Community in Enugu South Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu State. The report alleged that helicopters had been seen on several occasions flying at low level and landing in the forest area to “discharge their packages”.

HQ GTC wishes to state that the report is deliberately misleading and obviously concocted by the writer to cause disaffection and incite negative, divisive emotions. It must be noted that the NAF has 2 helicopter training institutions under its purview, which have been operating in Enugu for several years. These are the International Helicopter Flying School (IHFS) and 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group (405 HCTG), whose training curricula include low level flying around the forest areas near Akukwe, which is one of their designated training areas.

In particular, the 405 HCTG commenced tactical training on the newly acquired 109 Power helicopters on 24 May 2019, which includes low level flying as well as other maneuvres requiring them to land and take off within the training area. However, at no time was any NAF helicopter used to ‘drop’ any materials, let alone deliver weapons to any individual or group. Members of the public, especially residents of Enugu State, are therefore advised to discountenance the fake report and go about their normal activities without fear.

The NAF, as a professional fighting force, remains resolute in performing its constitutional role of defending the territorial integrity of a united Nigeria. Accordingly, we shall continue to work assiduously, in synergy with sister Services and other security agencies, to rid the country of all criminal elements in order to enable all Nigerians pursue their legitimate aspirations.

Apparently, you have no clue why the former regions was dissolved, you have no clue why its security apratchick was equally abandoned.
Just do some reading about where the country started from, you may get a clue why we can't go down the path that once failed us.
Nigeria did not start today, most of these suggestions are things that have already failed in the past, all you need do is pick up a book!
The system of government was ruined by military officers, not by the Nigerian people. In fact it was the major thing that led to the uncivil war.

Military should not be too hasty in refuting these allegations; at least, not allegations of aircrafts dropping weapons. Such aircraft does not have to be Nigerian military aircraft just ones disguised to look as if Nigerian, which is what you`d do if you were acting clandestinely in Nigerian territory. Hope Military is conducting investigations and not just dismissing the claims from afar as ludicrous because of same. If West is behind much of these insecurity issues this is just the type of things they would get up to.

My thoughts exactly. If there is even some small kernel of truth in the news that was published, then the military needs to investigate.

Do we even have an intelligence network at all?.

In January this year ISWAP used 2 more identical SVBIEDs against the Nigerian Army near Baga, though one was disabled. The shift from armour plate windshields to armoured glass makes the SVBIED appear more like a civilian vehicle. Worrying trend.
