NAF JET NEUTRALIZES 20 ARMED BANDITS NEAR MUNHAYE IN ZAMFARA STATE

The Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI has neutralized no fewer than 20 armed bandits at a location near Munhaye in Zamfara State in air strikes conducted yesterday, 2 July 2019. The operation was executed sequel to credible intelligence reports indicating that scores of armed bandits had assembled at the location for a meeting, supposedly with the intention of attacking innocent civilians in the surrounding communities.

The Air Component therefore scrambled a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet to attack the location, which is about 15 kilometres from the boarder with Katsina State. Upon arrival overhead the area, the Alpha Jet observed over 30 armed bandits attempting to flee the location whilst firing at the approaching attack aircraft. The Alpha Jet engaged the bandits with effective fire, neutralizing 20 of them.

The NAF, working in consonance with other security agencies, will sustain its operations to flush the bandits out of the Northwest of the Country.

You mean the captured BHT, Honestly the only suffering he gets was when his been captured by troops and civilian task force. Once his been handed over to the Military police/intelligence is been treated well and deradicalized under Operation Safe Corridor, a military facility on the outskirts of Gombe Nigeria, that houses ex-jihadist fighters for the deradicalization programme under the Federal government amnesty offer. Hence these facilities that houses this convicts in Borno and Gombe are of best standards and practise.
The Nigerian Counter Terrorism Strategy recognised that force alone was not enough to combat violent extremist elements in Nigeria and that a multi-faceted approach was required to counter the threat of violent extremism. The Office of the National Security Advisor (ONSA) was tasked with developing an ambitious countering violent extremism (CVE) programme consisting of three elements: community-based counter radicalisation; strategic communications; and de-radicalisation. The de-radicalisation element of the CVE programme included establishing a prison based de-radicalisation programme for sentenced and pre-trial prisoners.

I will keep on measuring the success of all this counter insurgency operation in the North west,North east and North central on the numbers of terrorist/bandits attack. If this attacks by bandits and terrorist continue in our country Nigeria, and Nigerians are been killed, their properties destroyed, their(Nigerians) movement restricted for days, bases and FOB are been overrun, towns are been overrun, then I think the counter insurgency operation is not successful.

Soldiers are dying in the north west and north east without it been reported in the media. And the Nigeria military do not even talk about it.

If bandits/terrorist keeps on getting support from the people, politicians, religious leaders, emirs and community leaders in the north west and north east, then I think the counter insurgency operation is not successful.

As for me, that's the way I am measuring the counter insurgency operation in the north, and with the news am getting from there, the counter insurgency operation is a failure.

We all saw how yaradua ended militancy in the Niger Delta, I swear, if it was buhari, he would still be struggling with MEND by now. The man has nothing to offer at all.

If you want to cry and lament about my opinion you're free to do so grin

It wasn't cancelled, the programme was not managed properly: ie: only few was produced as prototype, was there an ambition to go into full production, CAPITAL NO !
Not only the Igirigi APC that is out of service because made available engine spare parts and servicing/production line. What about the. SPARTAN MKIII APC, The Kraz trucks purchased from Ukraine we don't see them again? Why engine spare parts.
I dont know if you watched one of the documentaries released by the NA of recent; one of the engineers during the vehicles plant presentation made mention of 600 vehicles in APC/MRAP are grounded simply because there engines are not readily available in the market, manufacturers have stopped producing them etc
One of the major function of NAVMC is to retrofit these over 600 vehicles that are lying fallow because of end user certificate of engine part and transmission system.
pardon my ignorance, can't another engine be fitted into this APC/MRAP? I've seen Chevrolet running on Toyota engine. Is it not possible to buy engines from Toyota, Ford or BMW and fit them into the APC/MRAP

Yeah that's what they are working on.. And truly it's going to take a lot of time simply because we are talking about diffident types of armored vehicle.
Looking readily available engine that has no end user certificate palabaa....?

To you Nigerians reading this comment its timw to get out of this Boko Haram bubble. If you have a passport and can leave Nigeria I suggest you do so soon. The dominoes have fallen. The civil war have started. The instigators are occupying forward bases now. The herdesmen attacks on imo and other eastern States are nothing but probing attacking trying to provoke a massive response. Which thankfully have been avoided. But make no mistake. This is not conjecture or a fairly tale. It's too late to stop what is coming.

To those that will call me delusional and laughing it off..You are welcomed to do that. To those that will take my words serious and act upon it or do further research. You are likewise welcome.

Thank you
