The reason is beyond the works whether he did good or bad. The question is whether his spirit is born anew while on earth.

Man is a spirit and lives in a body. The real you is your spirit.

The Europeans who brought Christianity to Africa also brought other goodies(of which I believe you and I are beneficiaries)goodies such as, formal education ,science and technology; transportation (cars, train, ship, aircraft...) information and communication technology(phone, email, computer service...),good form and structure of government,housing systems, sophisticated weapons for war and security and the list goes endless... They showed they were superior by successfully conquering Africa, upon all the hundreds of gods that we had. They even taught us on how to make good use of the natural resources God has blessed us with. Eg. Oil, limestone...

Our ancestors, what did we inherit from them apart from witchcraft, charms they didn't even use for anything productive (at least, not as productive as the aforementioned) other than to destroy their fellow self.

The Europeans' shortcomings however, was them exploiting Africans as slaves, of which our ancestors were the ones supplying them. If you read your history very carefully, you would know that the African elites(kings, chiefs) had their fellow blacks as slaves. They (African elites) normally preserve their own and sell their slaves to the Europeans for cheap gains.

That's few proofs I could mention, and I know that there are some evidence that you know that I didn't mention.

With all that the Europeans brought, we would not only be ungrateful, but also foolish to reject their religious beliefs and /or still believe gods that failed us when we needed them the most.

We believed their God because they came with results that surpassed ours during those times...
