Birth certificate is still one of the areas that haven't evolved yet. If a DNA test is needed to prove a man's paternity to his child during visa application, why is it not needed in the birth certificate at birth? How on earth can any man's name be written on the birth certificate because the mother said so?

It should be mandatory by law that the parents are DNA tested before being included in the child's birth certificate, to avoid situation such as paternity fraud, child switching during childbirth, denying a child of his inalienable right to know his/her father, and prevent cases of dispute with a partner when he suggest for DNA testing.

Most importantly, when it becomes a law that DNA testing is required at birth, it will serve as a deterrent to intending paternity fraudsters, as she will know closely that in nine months time, her crime will be brought to daylight.
