The bigger the city you live in, the higher your chances of becoming a divorcee. The reasons are very very obvious;

1. The city is where you have a night life. Back in the village, New Year eve is the only day of the year people stay out till 12am. You can't lie about traffic or work to commit adultery. The few offices around shut their doors by 5PM. By 5:15pm, everyone is back home. You can't abandon your home for useless reasons such as traffic.

2. City is where you have the "woke", the feminist, the "exposed"

3. There are too many human beings in the city. You can literarily get married in Badagry in January. Divorce in March, relocate to Berger and get married in another Registry. You can commit a crime on the Mainland and relocate to Lagos Island to live a normal/new life. No one cares or know your history, hence, people have little or no fear.

In the village, you can't get away with anything. There is no hiding and no peace for the wicked.

3. In the village, families spend more time together, they bond and communicate better whereas the city life is all about the money. The love of money is the root of all evils, including the urge to divorce. Love of money will make you abandon your home and spouse in pursuit of "fulfillment".

In the city, the average married man or woman spends more time at work and with his/her colleagues than he/she spends with her family. If you're in Lagos and married, your work is actually your husband/wife. Your chances of divorcing your concubine (which is your legal partner) is higher.

4. Village people are more religious whereas those in the cities are too busy to take their God/god or religion seriously. This has increased the extent of moral decadence. Religion and morality are somewhat inseparable.

When we say marriage is not a thing to rush into you guys keep threatening girls of their biological clock and how they age like milk encouraging them to marry who is available and not who they are compatible with.
