They really embarrassed this man... He was castigated because of speaking the truth because of what the North has become regarding poverty, illiteracy and terrorism.

I knew he will step on toes...

Why I like Sanusi is that he is a man that never keeps quiet when things go wrong.

Just the way he couldn't stand the wasteful Jonathan, Sanusi criticized Gandollar and never supported his reelection bid because he had genuine information that the Kano governor is corrupt.

As the CBN governor, he even attacked the national assembly for wasting a significant portion of Nigeria's revenues.

You don't expect honest people to have too many friends in a country full of hypocrites and fantastically corrupt politicians.

If we had had many people like him, ours would have been a great country.

History repeats itself, in 1963, Emir Sir Muhammadu Sanusi I was dethroned as a result of the power struggle between him and Ahmadu Bello.

57 years later, his son Emir Sanusi Mohammed Sanusi II is dethroned by Governor Ganduje.

If gej was the one doing same to sanusi the north and west would have called for his head..but take a look at a governor dealing with sanusi like a common criminal..

Gej was persecuted simply because he was from the minority...thats my concrete conclusion.

We can argue all we want , gej was punished for emerging from the south...

If Nigerians are not the poster child for hypocrisy tell me how a governor who was caught on video stuffing dollars from bribe still win an election and even have the efforntery to facilitate the removal of a man who has been known to say the 'truth' according to some people still gallivant around without anybody saying 'pim'?? Nigerians are not only hypocrites but also born cowards!

This kind of thing should be done to Yoruba traditional rulers who just sit on their asses and care less about their subjects. The only thing they know is show off their wealth. Sanusi was more active and vocal unlike yoruba obas with bunch of pot bellies.

The only true monarch in Nigeria is the Oba of Benin. Every other king in Nigeria are ceremonial or politically nominated kings. No govt can try this with the Oba of Benin Kingdom...

Leave this talk. Oba of Benin knows better than mingling in politics. If he tries it, all the government needs to do is frame him a fraudster and whisk him off to exile. No one has more power than this administration. They can do and undo

nigerians should suffer for all the mayhem and foolishness we witness from our leaders.. if we ever had a bit of sense we would all not participate in the next elections but rather surprise our thieving and foolish politicians with a revolution..

But watch the political space and see our many fools would still want to vote in the next elections...

Some already preparing to vote in tinubu..

The government can and will if the Oba gives them reason to

The Oba of Benin was deported and exiled to Calabar to die by the British.

Those who control the guns have the power, not the Oba. There's no traditional leader that can't be dethroned if they do anyhow. Who pays the salaries of the monarchs?
