No they dont live in tents anymore but they still rig tents and camp fire during festivals. In fact they wear the popular indian headgear with feathers and beat drums. They would dance in circle around the fire and sing. I guess this is their way of preserving culture.

I was there, no lie. There is a big military facility in the town. Not too far from it there is another camp on the hill where christian missionaries first set up camp. There is a tall statue of Jesus. From the foot of the statue you can see all around the town. I think its highest hill in the area. We stopped at a diner and ordered burger. They served buffalo meat. It was delicious.

Khia ask your tribal chief about Lawton Indians he will tell you.

In fact on my way back to Dallas for my return trip home we also stopped at a indian native american museum. Some of their artworks are not different from Africans.
