Lugard my man thanks for the last supper. The search for a scapegoat is the easiest of all hunting expeditions. One saw a bird dying, shot by a man. It was flying with rhythmic beat and beautifully, with such freedom and lack of fear. And the gun shattered it; it fell to the earth and all the life had gone out of it. A dog fetched it, and the man collected other dead birds. He was chattering with his friend and seemed so utterly indifferent. All that he was concerned with was bringing down so many birds, and it was over as far as he was concerned. They are killing all over the world. Those marvellous, great animals of the sea, the whales, are killed by the million, and the tiger and so many other animals are now becoming endangered species. Man is the only animal that is to be dreaded. For us hunting wasn’t a sport. It was a way to be intimate with nature, that intimacy providing us with wild unprocessed food free from pesticides and hormones and with the bonus of having been produced without the addition of great quantities of fossil fuel. In addition, hunting provided us with an ever scarcer relationship in a world of cities, factory farms, and agribusiness, direct responsibility for taking the lives that sustained us. Lives that even vegans indirectly take as the growing and harvesting of organic produce kills deer, birds, snakes, rodents, and insects. We lived close to the animals we ate. We knew their habits and that knowledge deepened our thanks to them and the land that made them. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Why are people condeming Britain Amalgamation was done for administrative convenience and the Nigeria ethnic Nationals have the chance to go their separate way upon declaration of Independence I blame that man called Zik for his inability to reason properly irrespective of his status as an erudite scholar. Even when Sadauna of Sokoto and Obafemi Awolowo were protesting that the ethnic Nationals should go their separate way, Zik said No it is one Nigeria. Just kept reeling out bogus semantics. Remember In 1956 a motion was moved by Anthony Enahoro for self Government but the Northerners said they were not ready yet. That was ample opportunity for the South to go their separate ways but some fools who want to answer Patons and nationalist never reasoned about the consequence of such an unholy Union. Sorry then, oil have not been discovered in Nigeria in large Quantity untill 1958. Although I blame Britain for Not adminstering Nothern and Southern Nigeria as separate entities, the bigger blame goes to our nationalists for not reasoning logically about the consequence of Northern and Southern Nigeria unholy marriage. 85 Likes 8 Shares |

My heart weeps profoundly when ever I heard about Northern & Southern protectorate amalgamation and Nigeria independence. The problem of Nigeria at large started in 1914 amalgamation Nigeria has never be one because it comprises of different people with different modus operandi in which each section/culture believes its own operating system is the best. This make make them neglecting the other sectors whenever in power, thinking they are incapable of doing things right. 18 Likes 1 Share |
