Hiya sorry about this. I studied English language, majored in literature and it’s been an interesting journey all the way. The fact that you don’t enjoy reading is an issue and it’s best to go for what interests you. If you can switch to another course that suits your interest it would be a good one.

Nevertheless literature is wonderful when it’s a course you desire and it flows with your rhythm in every ramification.

Thanks for the advice, bro. I don't even know what I have passion aside law which I wasn't given.

No. I don't like mine for once. It's my greatest regrets in life.
I'm already working on it. This will be my last year in that profession.

Smiles I can relate, I wanted Law too but it wasn’t accredited when I applied. It requires more and deeper study though.

Your present course isn’t a bad one you can still make it work.

Who is this one talking? undecided I'm saying it without mincing words, Banking And Finance is a useless course in Nigeria!!! If you oppose my statement, back it up with empirical evidence why it's not and don't tell me to go and help my life because you don't know who I am or my current profession....
Okay give me a reason why it is useless!

Okay give me a reason why it is useless!

Now you come....
*There is no demand for banking and finance in the labour market
*Banking and Finance as a course has been bastardized! In the good old days, when you call Doctors, Lawyers and Engineers, Bankers are among
*Any body now can work in a bank! It's no longer a professional course... Someone that studied a science inclined course, an Architect, Botanist, Engineer can work in a bank.... If they simply undergo an undergraduate trainee program within 6 months to 1 year, they are good to go
*Banking and Finance Graduates has no value! During my NYSC year, where I was posted to do my PPA was a primary school to teach for one year! Instead of a Bank (according to what I studied)
*I lost a state civil service job I and my brother supposed to get (slot) because the Employer told me i studied banking and finance... My brother got the job because he studied mass communication
*Most academicians that are lecturers who had a BSc in Banking and Finance ended up going for a PGD so they can obtain masters in another field like Accounting, etc. Because it's a useless course and I'm still not mincing words. Tell me how many people you know that have masters or PhD in Banking and Finance?

Banking and Finance as a course supposed to be removed from the school curricula because it adds no value in the Nigerian society. Anybody can work in a bank!!!
So if you are pained mainly because you are either studying the course or you are a graduate of the course, you can either go and obtain a marketable skill or go for PGD in Education to upgrade your CV

Do more research on Banking and Finance as a course in Nigeria and it's relevance to the society and you will see it's a USELESS course.... It's not supposed to be so but the Nigerian financial institution, CBN and the governing bodies has bastardized the course by not giving it any value if not, why will they accept any random person to work in a bank?
Why not employ BKF students only??
Why will BKF graduates not serve in Banks, to perfect what they studied in school during their NYSC

Please answer those three questions above carefully and still give me reasons why it's not a useless course in Nigeria....

Oga don't speak out of ignorance, BFN graduates were not thought to work in Banks only, a BFN graduate should be able to fit into an Accounting, finance and even an administrative role... You think the Banking there in the name simply means you can only work in a Bank.
