Claims Ooni receives dollars from Buhari ...what's the evidence? Seems we are in a generation where anyone can just throw up thrash into the air because they have some ill-mind audience
Re: Herders Crisis: Ooni Replies Sunday Igboho by ajl: 2:08pm On Feb 04, 2021
The question is where was the Ooni when all the killings were going on in Yorubaland? What did he do about it? Nothing. They all kept quiet because most of those killed by the herdsmen were commoners. The Ooni also made an error in judgement as a spiritual leader of the Yoruba. What proof does he have that the Buhari government is going to do something about the killings as he claimed? A true leader would have first called Sunday Igboho and talked to him directly rather that trying to rubbish his effort on television.

Sunday Igboho should be very careful. He should be building a United front and not fighting and insulting respectable personalities.

Yorubas are very responsible and respectful. We don’t go about boasting and talking carelessly. He should apply Yoruba native intelligence in what he’s doing and stop taking like a parrot at the slightest sight of a microphone or camera.

The criminal herdsmen going about killing people don’t grant interviews. Even the Iskilu Wakili that some people are hyping has not said anything on camera. His pictures are not even available online despite the hype. Igboho must be careful going forward.

comes my joint to drink ogogoro today abeg,,,that all have been sayings, he doesn't suppose to be granting interviews neither let people's knows his motives at all..... they may declared him wanted cos he has been seen as athreat

Respect to the Ooni, but is that all you care about?

He has apologized but the best form of apology is a changed behaviour, Igboho should watch his attitude and know that we won't allow him make unguarded, unsubstantiated statements against the Ooni and drag him like a Tiger generator. Kilo fe fa?

Lolz. Where is unity in all these?

This is a time Yorubas should be united and not this divided.
The North surely enjoys such disunity.

Yorubas are seriously divided on this issue of Fulani herdsmen with different tunes.

There should not be any division in a scenario where foreigners are seizing people's lands, raping and kidnapping people with daily slaughter.
Such disunity is not needed.

Its not disunity, just a case of different approaches that are being fanned into non existent flames. Neither the Ooni or anyone else wants to lose one inch of yoruba land or one life to any intruders from anywhere. How they achieve that will be a question of their personality, education and socialisation into government

Black and white scenarios are easy to understand and defend - it is what the masses understand. For people like the Ooni, they are considering more variables. I cannot judge either approach nut if you beat your opponent, it is not to kickstart a blood feud that causes your opponents grandchildren to fight you, but rather it is designed to drive him to those who seem more conciliatory. Solution is the end game, carrot and stick are the tactics.

At the end of the day, there is unanimity that kidnappings and killings in Yoruba land must stop. Lets see what happens over the next few months. Until then though, those who must travel should be careful and ask " do i really need to make this trip?"

We know our Yoruba elites. They can all sell us to the highest bidder. Historical records are facts. Some sold our people into slavery. Some wined and dined with military dictators and politicians. We don't trust them.

Nonsense, absolute nonsense. Nonsense. Is it no longer Okan le nirinwo, it is now Okan le nigba. It is not about what Ooni represents but the reality on ground. Out of frustration, if a child reacts, it is the duty of the elder to think inwardly. Modakeke and past Ooni had issues, the gods didn't react. Past Alaafin up to the present Alaafin have been having issues with past Ooni, where are the gods ? When our lands were taken and people killed, nothing happened. The Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria plans to implement Sharia in Four States in South West, how will that happen without Fulanis domination in the four selected States. What is different between Zamfara bandits and Fulani herdsmen in South West forest?

FFK said he has apologized. What is the purpose of this statement from the palace again ? For oil contracts ? The late Ooni benefited from both military and civilian government using the throne. Even in the Bible, when Israel was defeated, the Ark was taken away. The lands and the gods will be taking captive if nobody reacts. The gods may raise somebody from nowhere to defend the land.

What you have written is absolute nonsense. I pray what happened at the palace of Oba of Lagos during EndSARS should not happen at Ife in future . In 2017, there was a crisis at Ife between Yorubas and Hausas. There were casualties on both sides with more from the Yorubas. Only the Yorubas were arrested, tried and convicted, where was Ooni ? Where were the 201 gods?

In year 2000, when Baba Lam Adesina was Oyo State Governor, Buhari, Buba Marwa and ACF President led Arewa leaders and thugs to Oyo State Governor's office to harass, intimidate and embarrass a sitting governor in his office, by then Obasanjo was the president. I was at Secretariat that day. They came to warn the governor and read riot act to him over the killing of Fulanis at Saki a town in Oyo State. Can a Yoruba General or IBO General leads his organization and thugs to Kaduna Governor's office to threaten and harass him in his office ?

Ooni is the most stupid Oba in Yoruba land that I know, Sunday Igboho have apologized to him even when he doesn't deserved the apology. We all know the angle Ooni of Ife is trying to operate from as against Sunday Igboho, during the ife and modakeke crisis far back then, Sunday Igboho was among the people that supported Modakeke against Ile ife in which ife lost the battle. Ooni of ife my foot.

A leader that can not fight for, be outspoken on behalf of, and vehemently defend his followers is not a true leader. And it isn't only the traditional leaders in the South, that includes most of our governors and political leaders. They are no more than opportunists ready to benefit by virtue of their office but not interested in getting down to fulfill their duties to the people.

They are all businessmen. I think Igboho statement hit Ooni where it hurts because that's what most of them do. They collect "Ghana Must Go" bag from politicians. Though I like him, I don't trust him a bit because he is a businessman turned royalty. Moreso he also made an error of judgment. Which FG will come help. Up till now nothing has been done about the crazy Wakili that forcefully took.over another person's land in Ibarapa area. Is that the govt we are going to wait for. Fulani herdmen will soon get to the palace of the Ooni or attack his entourage on the highway.

Nwanne nobody else can do it better than MAZI NNAMDI KANU. The OHAMADIKE NKE MBU N'ALA IGBO. He will call anybody out, scold you in public unapologetically, tutor you and correct you as well. All are because of love. He dealt with Eastern Governors until they began to have sense.

Sunday Igboho is just coming up. He should know his boundaries especially in Yoruba land because they're the ones to crucify him of he dares calls out their treacherous behaviours or the traitors among them.

Yoruba says igbo don't have respect.

But Yoruba respect is overdose, Too much of everything is bad

Every man is a king in igbo land. inshort The Obi of onitsha bows to Men with heavy pocket. we respect, we don't fear our king.

Go to Lagos and see how Igbos opened Yoruba boys eyes to reality, that you can shout at elders and ogun won't strike you dead.

Those Mama Put and Buka women dey hear am hot hot from igbo boys if them misbehave, they will shun you no matter your age

please the Ooni should not go against Sunday Igboho, let the Ooni respect his office, and seek wisdom.

We want the traditional rulers, to respect their people more than any opinions from people on the outside, right now, lets all be united in keeping the militias out of the land.

Your dieties are rather unfocused and chasing shadows. What are your 201 deities doing as it's followers and worshippers are being slaughtered by strangers?

I would personally worship your diety if they put an end to this herdmen menace. Nonsense.

OfoIgbo:
The Ooni seems to be serving the interest of the Fulani.

I thought Igboho apologized, for something he shouldn't have apologised? Why then is the Ooni still going on with this fight as though he is in some sort of competition with Igboho.

First of all, he went to visit Buhari, most likely without consulting with the Alafin of Oyo, in whose state, Igboho acted, and in whose state, the Fulanis were wreaking havoc. The Ooni must have been aware of the letter written to Buhari by the Alafin, yet he made such a trip at a very critical stage in the Yoruba survival struggle, and he still has the temerity to claim headship of Yoruba culture, while Alafin and the lowly Igboho who is not in line to any throne in Yorubaland, seem to be the ones defending the Yorubas.

Second of all he tried to discourage Igboho from his current campaign of ridding Yorubaland of Fulani terrorists. Now he is carrying on with an imaginary fight with Igboho, all in an attempt to keep Igboho bogged down, while the Fulanis restrategise and deal Yorubas a fatal blow.

This Ooni should mind himself and take cognizance of the fact that his royal stool does not grant him the license to help in the extermination of the Yorubas by allying with Fulanis
I think what prompt the issue up about the Ooni of ife and Sunday Igboho is that Sunday Igboho was in support for Modakeke town when they were fighting ile ife people then inwhich many people died in ile ife, so the stupid Ooni want to use this time as a time to revenge against Sunday Igboho for his act.
