Check out convre.com It is a discussion platform for Africans. What can you do on Convre? 1. Create a community 2. Search for communities to join 3. Each community has their own moderators that set the guidelines that all members of the community can follow. And much more. We're running the beta testing, and given the ban on Twitter, Nigerians need an alternative to have modularized and meaningful discussions. Hop in, your communities await you. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Twitter To Recruit Experts Of Nigerian Languages For Its Operations In Ghana by PrinceCEE(m): 6:34pm On Apr 13, 2021 |
CSTRR: You get the drift. The positioning was also strategic, Ghana being very close to Nigeria. Their main target market is Nigeria, but because of the bad policies et al, they had to put the HQ in Ghana. What do you think of a better discussion platform for Africans and those interested in Africa? |
Politics / Re: On The Kwara Hijab Crisis - Reno Omokri Writes by PrinceCEE(m): 2:12pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
OmoManU: I bet you didn't understand what you read! Nobody is against Muslim girls wearing hijab. But what they're against is them wearing the hijabs in environments they're not accepted. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: U.K Government To Regulate Facebook, Google Next Year by PrinceCEE(m): 10:25am On Nov 29, 2020 |
thebosstrevor1: Damn!! This is funny. America started the Internet revolution. Google has an indirect monopoly over search engine business, same monopoly that Yahoo, an American company enjoyed. See guy, don't make this an American stuff. Google is good with their craft, just as much as every other Tech giant like Microsoft, Amazon etc. It's business. |

thebosstrevor1: And you think that Google just had to put Youtube there and not because of SEO, the youtube videos were shown on first search? |

Riele: I wonder why a kid like you would have so much vile against the male folks. Having stumbled on your posts too many times, I wouldn't but imagine why you've so much hate at such a young age. Just 16!!! It baffled me after getting to know that you're preparing for Jamb. I'd advise you subdue such hatred. Nairaland ain't a life. If nairaland is affecting you in any way, I'd advise you just as I'd advise my younger sister, stay away from here, so as to restore your sanity. I had to write too many words because it pains me seeing a young girl like you in this state. |

kjsun15: I'm sorry sir... But you too are ridiculously stupid. I'm fully aware you're referring to the Igbos. I'm an Igbo guy and I school in the West, so I've met a number of Yoruba people. I've encountered the good ones and also the bad ones, but will I for the sake of the bad ones generalise that the Yorubas are bad? That's quite stereotypical! I ask myself, why on earth would you guys turn nairaland to some crazy den of ethnic wars? You're clearly not different from the other guy I quoted because you guys bear the same stereotype against each regions. That's quite bad! 1 Like |

Red2C: What efficiency does it bring by doing it your way? Did you run the code and it produced a wrong answer? I never ran it anyway, I typed with my phone, but that code doesn't have a bug! |
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by PrinceCEE(m): 4:50pm On Jan 11, 2020 |
simydan: Thanks for replying. I've settled to remove the AC and fridge from the consumption, so as to maximise the power. My total load would be 535W if I remove the AC and fridge. So, I'd be glad if you and others would suggest the best configuration that would enable I have a minimum of 20hrs of light per day, even if phcn fails. Another question: I've been using a 1kva inverter since April, last two years. I only use a 15w bulb, a laptop and a fan. When I started using it, I could use it for 3 days, although nepa do bring light in between and I use the laptop and fan at the same time. But some time last year, I used a soldering iron on it, as I wanted to solder one of my appliances. Since then, I hardly get up to 10hrs straight just on using my laptop and no fan some times, it's less than 6hrs. If I use the fan, I doubt it'd sustain up to 4hrs. What could likely be the problem? Is it the battery or the inverter itself? |
