@Olusegunoni. To be sincere, you do not need a consultant. You can always bring whatever questions you have to this forum and the gurus are more than willing to assist. Using a consultant will not give you any edge.
Olusegunoni:
Hello all. It's nice meeting you guys and I'm so excited to be here. I have started my processing as well as written the English proficiency test but i will like to involve a consultant now. I was introduced to one but would like to find out if anyone knows him and if he's genuine. His name is Rich Global travels in Ibadan. Any info on him. I'm also open to suggestions. How bless you all

@Adiahabasi. Yes, the letter in addition to gift deed prepared by a lawyer. Some people on another forum suggested including the bank statement of the person giving the gift to show that the person is able to give the gift without much stress on his/her finances. I did not include this though.
Adiahabasi:
ok..so the letter your mum wrote was in addition to the gift deed prepared by a lawyer right? Or is it one and the same?i.e is the gift deed the letter your mum wrote?

@doggys, so sorry for the late response, I have been off the forum for a while. Would you still want me to forward the gift deed to you or its already late?

Doggys:
Hello Rebe. Thanks f+or your input. Please i intend doing the gift deed on monday as my mum is the one giving us the money too. Please i will really appreciate if you can send me a copy to my mail: orobia453@yahoo.com,i will really appreciate as i intend sending all documents to SINP on tuesday. Also, i want to know if the affidavit won't be necessary

A gift deed alone with all relevant proofs should suffice. Used that and to the glory of God, I have my visa and CoPR.

Yeah that's why I said he can add not he must add it.

Pls can you list what constitutes "Relevant proofs"? A lot of us would benefit from ur experience.

Just other documents to validate the gift. In my case my mom gave the the money so she wrote a letter stating that she is my mom and she is giving me the money as a show of love and she is not expecting it to be returned.

Lol cheesy

Well...each Lawyer charges what he thinks his or her practice is worth...so I can't really say.

Well a deed isn't the same as an affidavit...but you can add an affidavit as a supporting doc.
Pls make sure the affidavit is notarised or stamped by a commissioner of oaths. Although I imagine that the stamp of a Notary public should carry more weight in situations like this.

A gift deed alone with all relevant proofs should suffice. Used that and to the glory of God, I have my visa and CoPR.

Thanks all for the kind wishes. I feel so blessed. As you have celebrated with me, my sincere prayer is that you too will get your PPR soon and will be celebrated as well. Amen

Although I am still a novice too, I will definitely stay to render as much assistance as I can to people on this thread cos I would not have made it this far without assistance from others.

I wish everyone still waiting for ITA, IELTS result and PPR all the best.

Congratulations @dupyshoo and everyone that got their PR! So happy for you all

AlphaNumero:

Till after you land.

You might need POF at landing.

Dear AlphaNumero,
Thanks for your response. the reason why I asked is because I don't keep money in my bank account, I prefer to keep it in my organization's cooperative account where I can withdraw it anytime I need it. So the funds is available for me when I want to land and I am able to provide the statement whenever it is requested. I am just concerned as to if CIC has a way of checking one's statement with the bank during the process.
Has there been any instance where CIC confirms one's statement with the bank?

Thank you

You can get your uncle to gift the money to you, the most important thing is being able to explain the sudden funds. If you sell a property, as long as you can prove that it was sold with documents, etc, you are good to go.Also, i guess if your uncle gives you the money, as long as you can prove it was given to you as a gift by your uncle, you should be good, those that are more knowledgeable will also advice you.

Dear everyone,

I have a question relating to proof of funds too. I submitted my application since December 2015. I wish to know if I have to leave the funds untouched till I get PPR?

Thank you

Dear everyone,

I am expecting a letter from Netherlands, to be delivered to my home address I was told it was sent on the 16th of January, 2016. However, the mail was not registered so there was no way I could track it. Does anyone have any idea how long it might take for it to get to Nigeria? Is it possible for me to go and enquire about the mail at the nearest post office since it was not registered.

I hope someone will be able to help.

Thank you

Dear Everyone,

I am in a dilemma, I am hoping someone can help me out.

I got my ITA on the 4th of December and I already got all my documents (police certificate, medicals, reference letter) then I realised that for my previous experience, I backdated the start date by 2 weeks (instead of using my resumption date of 2nd June, I used the acceptance date on the employment letter (18th May). I would not have qualified for the ITA if not for the error as my CRS would have been 25 points less.

My dilemma is should I decline the ITA and re-enter the pool? Will my medicals and police certificate still be valid if I do this or I will have to get another one? The reference letter given to me by my previous employer shows that I started work on the 18th May but my conscience would not let me rest. Kindly advise me, is it wise to decline the ITA?

Thank you.

I'll rather you dont give any notion that you are using NYSC as part of your work experience. Just get a letter from the supervisor stating the start and end date, your job title and job details stating its a full time employment, the no of hours worked per week(must not be less than 30hours per week) and annual salary for the period. The supervisor can sign and put his contact details underneath and can also make them know that he no longer works in that place and the office wasn't ready to give you a letter.

On your second issue, you are good to go with your arrangement. You can solidify it with by providing documents for the cooperative contribution

Thanks a lot @JesusDWay. God bless you.

Dear everyone,

I have some questions regarding my express entry application and I will be very glad if seniors here can help.

Firstly, I entered the express entry pool since May with CRS of slightly below 440, I recreated my profile last week and I got PT from Ontario. However, a friend advised that I could use my NYSC experience which I did and my score jumped to over 460 which gave me a better chance of an ITA without provincial nomination. However, I have this issue with using my NYSC experience as my PPA organisation is not willing to provide a reference letter for me and the supervisor I worked with during NYSC has moved to another organisation. Fortunately, I have photocopies of my acceptance letter stating that the organisation has accepted my to serve with them,my monthly clearance letters and my final clearance letter. Is it okay to include these letters together with the reference letter that will be provided by my former supervisor? Kindly advice on other things to include in order to justify my NYSC experience.

Secondly, regarding proof of funds, I have a cooperative account with my present employer where a certain amount of money is deducted from my salary for saving every month. The money can be withdrawn whenever I wish. However, I am not sure if the cooperative can provide my account details in the format required by CIC and also if CIC will accept such statement since it is not from a Financial institution. I am thinking of moving the funds to my bank account and providing a letter of explanation to CIC on the sudden rise in the funds in my account. I wish to know if anyone has tried this and if this is a wise decision.

I am opened to suggestions on resolving these dilemmas of mine.

Apologies for the long epistle.

English is not our official language like almost everyone has stated, however, for the purpose of international job applications for admissions into Universities outside Nigeria, it is most times wise to state that you are a native English language speaker as English is the language of instruction for all our educational qualification from elementary to tertiary. I hope this helps.

One million candles can never be enough for you Bro Elijah, my prophet of fire sad sad. I was looking forward to the day I will walk down the aisle with you but alas death didn't permit that. 5th June 2011 remains the saddest day of my life, I miss you every single day. Thinking of you used to bring smiles to my face but now I shed bitter tears whenever I remember you (which is often). Your sudden passing is too sad to be true, its still a terrible nightmare I wish to wake up from. One thing is sure - God is forever faithful, my God is in the heavens, He has done that which pleases Him.Nothing will ever separate me from the love of God - Not even your sudden demise. Though it hurts terribly I will still keep loving, trusting and serving God because there is no unrighteousness in Him.
