Have prayed and fasted but when it seems the movements is subsiding, I found myself eating in the dream again and the movements will increase.

It is really making life unbearable to me cos the only time I don't feel the movement is when i am sleeping.

Pls if you know nothing about a person kindly keep mute. You can search "Wahab Adegbenro" on Facebook to read what people are saying about him. Below is one of it:

Tribute to an Icon!!!
.

Dear Lord, owner of Heaven and Earth
Please open the gates of heaven for this soul
Let him find peace in the after years

Hmmmmmmm I remember my first day at the School for the deaf Akure
I thought I could hear a pin drop even though the kids were on the field
Playing football during their break.

An unusual thought came to mind so I asked the principal
"Ma, who takes care of them when they take ill?
How will they explain themselves to the doctor?
Who picks their bills?

The principal was quick to respond with a smile
She said " We get the best medical care here and its free"
I was like Waooooo
And she said " Dr. Adegbenro, Crown hospital has been taking care of us for over 10 years now. Always and its always free.

Then I said " Crown? Isnt that a private hospital?
She said "Yes my sister, the kids are VVIP Lol".

Throwback to when we shot my movie " Ariwo Oja".
I don't know how we got to use his hospital for free. It still amazes me
considering the FACT that I never met him one on one before. Except pass him on the passage at work.

When he became commissioner for Health, I thought to go see him but I heard a lot of disabled people call him "Baba Akanda" "Father of the disabled". So I said to myself, this man has done and is doing more than enough already.

Three months ago, Shade Arise called me that she put to bed via surgery. The operation should have cost her almost 300k due to the peculiarity of her condition but she did EVERYTHING for free @ Crown Hospital?

If he has been doing these things for free or almost free for years now
How has he been coping?
Is he Rich?
Is the hospital thriving ?

No wonder good things always located him,
I am speechless because I thought I would still have time to meet you one on one.
I never for a second thought your name would be mentioned in the same sentence as death not to mention you dying.

For days now, I couldnt just come to terms with it
Dear Lord,
Please let this great soul find peace with you
Be the husband of his widow, and father for his Children
Goodnight Good Sir
Generations to come will speak of your great works and of
your selfless service
Adieu!!!

Even Evans the kidnapper will have people who will sing his praise when he dies.
Just because you are one of the few that benefited from his mostly stolen wealth does not make him a saint.
This man has held various political positions since 1999 but could not use his position to fight for better public health infrastructure.

It seems like this covid 19 is the ultimate equalizer

Met him around 2001, he was such a fine and compassionate doctor, would sometimes treat indigent patients for free and even make provisions for their upkeep. I was really sad hearing of his demise. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

All politicians are not heartless as we thought. Dr. Oluropo Wahab Adegbenro was never like them. He was a nice man, my family doctor, he took my delivery and the 1st philanthropist I ever get to know in my life. He treats patients freely in his hospital (Crown Hospital, Akure). Read the tribute I wrote for him below:

I HOPE YOU FINALLY MAKE HEAVEN DOC

Before and even when you were the Commissioner for Health, you did not have a personal Car. Once, I asked you, why? You replied "vanity upon vanity."

I was teasing him few months ago in his office that he now dresses really good, which I believe must have been because of meetings and official duties. Or, he doesn't wear anything fancy.

I really hope you make heaven, because sometimes I wonder if you went to College of Medicine, just for the less privileged. A doctor that will do free surgeries for the poor and still feed them before discharging them without collecting a penny?!

I can't stop asking myself or Dr Adegbenro anytime we had the opportunity to talk that, is it that you don't want the good things of life?
He'll reply by saying "God will provide for his needs."
I really hope you make heaven.

I remember when your colleagues were at loggerheads with you because Crown Hospital was more of a charity home than a hospital.

I remember my mum (of blessed memory) will always take any sick one among us in the car and tell daddy "let's head to Crown Hospital". Through out my growing days even from birth, I can't remember you requesting for a dime as the fee for the medical attention or treatment we got from your hospital. I hope you make heaven.

You were our first point of call when my mum was sick. You attended to her swiftly giving all your best at no cost before referring us to a Consultant. I remember your words then when I came back to thank you after her burial, you said "she's a friend, a club mate, your best friend's sister and that moreso you respect her cos she was a hardworking and submissive wife". I hope you make heaven.

I was with you in January to discuss full employment for my wife and I remember you promised to ensure it is done during the next phase of employment at Hospital Management Board or Ministry of Health. I hope you make heaven

I hope you make heaven, that will be my only consolation! It will simply mean that an angel returned to where he belongs.

I do really hope and pray you make heaven Wahab Adegbenro (Proud son of Ilara-mokin) !

Humanity just suffered a big blow!
May God almighty console his family and Ondo State.
Adieu Dr Oluropo Wahab Adegbenro (Ondo State Commissioner for Health).

I wish you make heaven
I pray you make heaven
You truly deserve to make heaven

Education / Re: Adekunle Ajasin University Final Year Student Swept Off By Flood In Ondo State by sunky644(m): 6:35pm On Oct 09, 2019
It's just so unfortunate and even a confusing situation. The missing girls parents are my neighbor at FUTA area in Akure. They ve been devastated since yesterday.
Mrcomedimatic:
The recent heavy rainfall in Ondo State has claimed the life of a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, in Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of the state.

Also, many residents of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, have been thrown into utter misery and confusion as the downpour that lasted about 11 hours wreaked havoc on different parts of the metropolis.

According to reports, the deceased student simply identified as Doyin, who was also an indigene of Ekiti State, was dragged away to an unknown destination by the heavy flood from a canal very close to her residence in Akungba town.

The downpour in Ado-Ekiti, which began around 2:45pm on Monday and lasted until 12:15pm on Tuesday, rendered many homeless and destroyed valuables worth several millions of naira. Some of the affected areas were Ajilosun, Adebayo, Odo Aremu, Ureje, Eminrin, Old Garage, Irona, Atikankan, Olorunsogo, Olorunda and Basiri, among other parts of the metropolis.

The landlord of the missing student in Ondo, Elemukona Ademola, who narrowly escaped the raging flood, said: “I have to climb cocoa tree, when many people thought I had been carried away by the flood.” The landlord said he had made many efforts to curtail the erosion from the canal.

At the scene of the incident, the Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture, who is also an indigene of the town, Otunba Gboyega Adefarati, paid a sympathy visit to the area. He warned his kinsmen against building houses very close to the canal. Adefarati equally cautioned those in the habit of blocking the drainages with refuse to desist from such act, as this practice always leads to flooding.

Already, the AAUA authorities have suspended lectures and tests earlier scheduled for the week over the incident. A statement signed by the Institution’s Acting Registrar, Opeolu Akinfemiwa, however, said all students should resume today.

According to him, “The University is leaving no stone unturned in the quest to find the missing student. Divers and other volunteers have been sought to search the path of the river in a bid to find the missing under graduate.”

I did last Thursday 28th March. Actually it was not DIY, an Immigration officer called me to ensure I do it before 1st April when the new price will take effect. It actually cost me #30,000 at Akure Immigration office and I did capturing same day.

NB - I was told if you do it yourself they will still charge you administrative charges which may eventually add up to make the #30k they would ve collected.

I am aware you will need National ID Card issued by NIMC. As for price I will appreciate if we get right info from those who renewed recently but before this my current one expired it cost me #21,000 but heard it's now about #30,000. It is cheaper if you can DoItYourself but don't know how long the process will take. As for the 10 year validity passport, rumour has it that the cost is about #70,000 and production will commence in June 2019.

Travel / Re: My Monthly Savings In Canada by sunky644(m): 3:16am On Dec 14, 2018
@Atutupoyoyo, you have really inspired quite a number of us. I stayed awake reading from Page 1-9 and I must say your mum's story sealed the encouragement.
I am a lecturer with PhD in view in Naija (Biochemistry field with about 10 publications in well indexed international journals) and my wife is a Masters degree holder (Food Science) also in naija. The dream of becoming a Professor and fear of not getting academic position if we relocate to Canada is withholding me from taking step.
If I blaze the trial to take step in 2019 and we move after my PhD, what degree will I have to go for in Canada to be relevant?
What's the possibility of landing an Academic position?
Is their conversion program for Food Scientists to Dietitian in Canada, if yes, what's the program duration?
My brother, if you could leave a #400k monthly job in Naija to put life in right track and start as a Security in Canada (I am aware there is dignity of labour), then why should I stay glued to just #130k per month job in Naija even when my wife couldn't get a job here despite her Masters.
Guys, help me dissect my case and short bio and let me hear your opinions...pls....

LMay:
ALTERNATE HEALTH PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO IMGs IN CANADA

As residency is really competitive in Canada, below are a list of backup alternate opportunities in the health field. Kindly note that these were gleaned from my research & hearsays from landed IMGs. May or may not be 100% correct.

1. Compressed Nursing Program (2 years) at Western, McMaster, UToronto etc

- 2 years to become a RN.

- Then do Masters in Nursing to bcm a Nurse Practitioner

- NP job responsibilities is same as a family doctor's except inability to prescribe Narcotics)

-Salary is about $100k per annum.

2. Physician Assistant Program at UofT and McMaster.

- Do NOT go for this! Limited job positions (about 3 or 4 across Ontario)

- In Canada, the Nurse Practitioners ruled out the need for PA

3. Public Health Masters at McMaster, Western, Waterloo, Brook etc.

-Limited jobs, hard to get Masters admission, Competitive and sometimes requires registered medical professionals

3b. Public Health Bachelors degree at Ryerson U & Conestoga College

- Fast track 2 years rather than 4 years

4. Nutrition and Dietitics

-To graduate as a RD (Registered Dietician)

-Fast track 2.5years at Western and Guelph U.

5. Michener Ultrasound and Windsor Ultrasound

-Very very competitive

- Your chance to get in with only your medical degree is about 10%

- On completion, you'll work as an Ultrasound Technologist

6. Clinical Research Diploma at McMaster (Part time), Humber College (Online), Western

- Quite a number of openings available for Clinical Researchers

8. Masters in eHealth at McMaster

- This is solely for tech savvy medics.

- You've got love for programming? This is for you!

- Admission is NOT competitive as such

- I know nothing about the job opportunities available in this niche.

9. Clinical Assistant jobs in Alberta and Manitoba.

- Heard they're a better route to residency (I don't know how).

- And pay better than Physician Assistant jobs.
Travel / Re: Student visa for Phd Admission Or PR In Canada: Best Option For A Family Of 5 by sunky644(m): 8:19am On Oct 20, 2018
Thanks for your contribution bro, it's true the world doesn't start and end in Canada but I don't think the resources available before me is enough to give my children the kind of life I want for them hence our decision to decide planning on exiting the country.
As for admission, I just started contacting the Profs just last week so I can't say getting supervisor and admission is a herculean task.
As for money matter, it may not be available now but I am optimistic I would have raised reasonable amount from other investment by the time we get ITA.
I am only asking the best path to thread and the easiest to secure visa between the Student visa or PR process taking into consideration that I want to leave with my family (I don't want to leave them behind, they mean the world to me).
Be that as it may, is there any legitimate alternative means apart from the two I ve stated pls?
RealTrump:
1. Admission is not forthcoming.
2. Supervisors are not showing interest.
3. Money troubles to travel.
4. Whether to take family or not.

Well, this whole thing is not stacked in your favour at all. Even if all documents r intact with money in the bank, they might still not give a visa.

If you ask me, I will say don't sell your house. D world does not start n end in Canada alone.
Travel / Student visa for Phd Admission Or PR In Canada: Best Option For A Family Of 5 by sunky644(m): 6:20am On Oct 20, 2018
Morning fellow Nlanders and gurus in the house. To give a short bio, I am in mid-30s, i have a Masters degree (Biochemistry) with PhD in view in Naija, work as a lecturer in a private university with over 3yrs work experience. Wife (also in mid-30s) also has Masters (Food Sceience) and working on part-time currently (one year experience) at school of health technology, she has about three years primary and secondary teaching experience. We just thought of relocating to Canada majorly for better future for our kids (7, 3 and 1 yrs old) and we don't mind starting life afresh. I have read a lot in this section and I am currently contacting some Profs for PhD supervision but no positive response yet. Someone advised applying for PR via express entry is the best bet but proof of fund of #7.5Million for my family size is the challenge (although we ve not done IELTS and certificate evaluation) cos if we decide to sell our three bedroom apartment somewhere in the southwest, it still will not give the amount.
My question is, do I continue with hunting for PhD admission?
If I am privileged to get funding and admission, how easy is securing the visa bearing it in mind that I will want to travel with my family (wife and 3 kids)?
Will my decision to go with family not jeopardize securing visa. I am aware there is the need to have strong ties to my country and convince the VO that I will return to my country, will my university study leave letter and having an aged father be enough?
If we decide to stick to express entry, based on the short bio, who should be the principal applicant. My fear is my university may not give the proof of work letter if we get ITA and need to prepare accompanying documents.
Gurus in the house, pls look into my case and give your candid advise I ve been ruminating on this for over three months while gathering more information and knowledge about Canada immigration. Thanks, expecting your comments...

I totally disagree with you man, my first degree was done in a state university, Masters was completed in a top federal university and PhD in view nearing completion in same federal university. I make bold to say it that i did not receive the type of quality teaching we give students at Elizade university. I just returned from SIWES inspection and I must say I am quite impressed with the comments and reports from their industry supervisors. Private universities is definitely taking over...
