Why conceal number plates if vehicles aren't stolen? What's there to hide?

its not about it being stolen but protecting the owners privacy.

Autos / Do Different Toyota Cars Share The Same Parts by vani86: 11:29am On May 14, 2018
hello nairalander auto specialists.

I am thinking of venturing into auto parts business and due to the fact that in my City, almost 2 in every 5 cars is a toyota, i want to 1st specialise in toyota parts before branching out to other car manufacturers.

Due to possible capital constraints, i want to be very rational and economical as possible.

my question is "do different Toyota models share the same parts and what parts could they be"?

for instance, can a corrola share some parts with the Camry or Matrix, do Camry share some parts with Venza, Avalon or Highlander, do Prado and Land cruiser share any parts, since Lexus is owned by Toyota, do they share any similar parts?

then is there are any other advice you can give a novice like me, please do share, i will be very honoured to learn from you

sorry eh. how did we even get to N365=$1 from N200=$1? its sad.

a combination of a foreign reserve that was as low as $25 billion dollars, coupled with crash in oil price coupled with Nigeria's very poor economic stability also add to that the very poor CBN policy of banning access to dollars for some imports abruptly without any warning which led to a surge in the black market.

Stop misinforming people.
Foreign reserves is basically the money government has to pay for imports(liabilities). Has nothing to do with stability of a currency.

you are right, i am right too, they all connect, what do you think will happen to a country's currency that cannot pay for its imports (case in point, Venezuela). of course their currency will crash.

his question was how does it affect the common man, so i used that simple illustration to educate him

...and what does that translate to the average Nigerian?

It means Naira to other foreign exchange remain stable and not fluctuate anyhow, it leads to stability of a countries currency when compared to others.

so yes, it affects the common nigerian indirectly

You are the one who allowed the AC to give you headache.

If you don't want the headache anymore, ignore the AC and drive your car.

Only people who dont have a car say rubbish like this.

in this hot weather and he has the money to fix the issue but the problem is that his AC repairer dont know his work.

OP, Take your car to another person to work on, the fact that it finishes in 3 days means the gas is leaking somewhere

just saw this post and it made me laugh. You might be right and might also be wrong. It depends on who was driving it. My husband left a car with 134,000 mileage for me. He came back a year later and the mileage was 137,000 and he laughed and asked if I don't drive the car.

you said a year. that is understandable, not 10 years.

even if u only drive on sundays to church and back, it will be more than 40k miles after 10 years.

you can trust that post at your own peril

Politics / Re: States With Health Insurance Laws In Nigeria by vani86: 1:52pm On Nov 21, 2017
Iolo:

We have one called NHIS.

I manage and work in a private hospital in Anambra, when i first started, was very surprised at the number of people registered with NHIS that come to the hospital because we are participants in the programme.

i was really impressed that health insurance scheme is slowly kicking off in Nigeria and it works.

my biggest problem with NHIS is that

1) they will give you their own drug price list and medications, which is lower than what we charge everyday patients, not taking into account, fluctuations in drug price in the market.

2) Even though we adhere to their price list, most often than not, when their bill is sent to them, they will never pay the full amount.

The Chief medical director is considering pulling out of the scheme from next year, he don't really need them, merely joined cuz of the novelty in the programme.

Banks dont argue with the bills we send when their staffs come for surgeries and treatment, they pay straight up.

Politics / Re: Governor Willie Obiano Flags Off 5.5km Road In Anambra (Photos) by vani86: 10:13am On Nov 17, 2017
Cjrane2:
Another abooki APC goon spotted. Why can't the "Federal Government" do the project in Anambra and make the transmission 100 KVA? It won't because Anambra is the hated 5% of Nigeria, but you will open your dirty mouths if the Governor manages to develop his state which has been neglected by the FG out pure hatred. You want APC to seize the state's treasury and loot it to finance Buhari who has not spent one penny of Federal Infrastructural budget in the zone?

There is no doubt that Willie Obiano has given a good account of the three years he has spent so far developing Anambra. Although many people quickly refer to infrastructural accomplishments as bridges and roads which Willie Obiano did so much within these three years despite the nationwide recession. I am more thrilled by his exploits in agriculture and using it to create gainful employment for youths who would otherwise have gone into crime. Rice, Sorghum are now grains produced in Anambra. Same effort has continued in poultry, fish farming, and other aspects of animal protein production for affordable food prices. I also don't want to mention his laudable achievements in primary, secondary and tertiary education including infrastructural development of the state university and the setting up of a second state university "Nwafor Orizu University of Education, Nsugbe" (NOUEN). His exploits in health sector with the upgrade of Ontsha General hospital into a State Specialist hospital, Full accreditation of the state university teaching hospital and building of 30 general hospitals in smaller towns in the state to improve healthcare and disease control in the state. Little wonder that inspite of Lassa Fever, Cerebral Meningitis, Cholera, diarrhea, among other communicable diseases that broke out in many states of Nigeria, Anambra was able to remain disease free and contained the few cases that happened in the state.

Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/05/obiano-directs-immediate-overhaul-30-general-hospitals/

Those APC goons campaigning against no elections in Anambra through cleverly manipulating some IPOB members to stop elections have never said Obiano has failed. Instead, they say they are discouraging people to come out to vote. Their simple strategy being to use their own imported thugs from APC states to rig the Anambra polls. Let me state that Willie Obiano is not an average Nigeria politician. Before Peter Obi and Willie Obiano, Anambra recorded last in ALL development indices and was a den of criminals. Today, you cannot mention anything positive from economic growth to education to positive health outcomes without Anambra being in among the first 10 states! It is an impressive achievement!! So STOP peddling falsehoods that nothing has changed in Anambra for decades. We all know it is a big lie.

Part of the problem with Nigerians is refusing to participate and expecting things to magically change. I wonder how you can win a tournament match such as FIFA World cup if you simply decided not to play a match outside of FIFA rules and regulations.

Now apply the above analogy to boycotting an election where the rule does not say a Governorship election should in anyway affect how Nigeria is run. The law clearly allows the appointment of sole administrators to run states where an election is not possible. Perhaps Nnamdi Kanu is insensitive to this issue because he isn't from Anambra, but people from there who had seen schools closed for one due to non-payment of salaries and complete collapse of every infrastructure in the state will never wish to return to such nightmarish situation. Especially if their sacrifice will be meaningless in bringing any sort of change nationally unless it is perfomed simultaneously in 12 states and in a Presidential election.

Now to the plot by APC to somehow engineer a poor voters turnout so that people they hired from other states can vote and rig their former university cult leader into the Governor. We already know that only APGA selects the best candidates to rule any part of Igboland. The other parties for some strange reasons select the worst criminals and anti-social elements from Igboland to foist on Igbos as their leaders.

The so called IPOB plan to boycott gubernatorial Anambra elections was an unfortunate misunderstanding of what the constitution says. So it was ill thought out and flawed from the start. You have got to do things within what is possible within the law. There is NO WHERE in Nigerian constitution where it said if you failed to vote in a gubernatorial election, it would amount to any sort of constitutional issue for the country.

Nigeria's 1999 constitution did say that to become a PRESIDENT of Nigeria, you MUST have 25% of the votes in 24 STATES. This clause means that if you can prevent elections from holding in 12 or 13 states, you will create a constitutional problem that will make it impossible for anyone to be declared PRESIDENT based on the constitutional provision. To achieve No election in 12 states out of 17 states in southern Nigeria will require concerted collaboration between Afenifere, Ohaneze and other socio-political groups. Anambra ALONE cannot cause such national effect even in a Presidential election talkmore the misguided campaign to boycott a gubernatorial election.

shut the fuuuck up and stop spreading propaganda for little change.

i am from anambra, nnewi for that matter. i live and work in osha and travel to my town quite often.

and yes, obiano tenure was full of lies, half truths and outright propaganda. the only thing i commend him on is paying of salaries, go to osha and see d level of decay, bad rods, lawlessness, refuse bins up and down.

you are here beqating your chest like a goon and quoting blind stories.
