Webmasters / Re: Cake Php by worldbest(m): 11:02am On Jul 09, 2011 |
Cakephp is delicious. Just started using it after trying Symfony and Yii. At first, i got confused with the new style of coding (The MVC style). But, it is actually a wonderful way to organise you work. Since i started using it, i haven't written any select statement. Infact, na him make me sabi MySQL associations. Its the ideal framework for those who intend to write large applications. cakie o sweet! |

@Pheeque Thanks for the kind words. Frankly, i agree with you, the idea certainly wont put food on the table. I think its one of the reasons (if not the major reason) while some of us lost interest. I like your idea on HTML 5. I once mentioned that we just go the browser way; Create games like mafia wars etc. At least, the workload of such games are not as heavy as that of 3D games. Judging from what we have done so far, i think we have failed in achieving the main objective which is to create a game and sort of keep start a game development industry in Nigeria. But who says we cannot keep start it the browser way? I mean, it would not be bad if we had our own Zynga of Nigeria. Knowing fully well that alot of Nigerians use the internet, i think it would be a good idea to make HTML 5 games. Moreso, alot of individuals are super skilled with web technologies. Further more, we wont be talking about 3D graphics, just plane 2D. We can host the browser game on a number of platforms Facebook, IOS, Android, Google Chrome etc. What do y'all think? We've got to start from somewhere. |

@Max Yep. But not this one. Projects like this need lot of motivation, commitment and time. What do you expect from a team of Two programmers doing tasks(unorganized) from seperate locations? This project has proven by its challenges that you cannot create a proper game by just having programmers login and send in codes. The team needs to meet physical. Personally, i love this project. It would have been great if we did something. But there are alot of things in real life that one needs to put first. My commitment to this project started to suffer when i resumed my own project which is a web app and until i am done i wont be able to do anything here. |

Religion / Re: World Ends On Saturday? ('Judgement Day May 21') by worldbest(m): 10:59pm On May 17, 2011 |
@Dolemite I am nt insulting you. I dont want you to see my Words that way. Yes, 'sun of God' did say pretty foolish words capable of making an unbeliever stay strong to his/her believe. But even if you do not yet believe in God you would know he is not well groomed to talk about God(As great as he is). I know you have your reasons for your unbelieve but please endeavour to read the bible sometime even if it is to mock it, i am sure you'll learn something. Something you do not understand is once you know God, the fear you talk about that you say we believers possess will no longer exist. Being a believer will not stop you from doing stuffs you like to do as far as you know whats a decent human should do. What is important is that you know God loves you. Simple I will hate myself if i begin to tell you how we humans came about, i am sure you've heard it alot. But ask yourself with all sincerity, do you really believe we exist as a result of the big bang theory. Do you really believe that our ability to reproduce was a mistake, do you think the bigbang gave us this wonderful brain of ours? Please try to soften your heart. God loves you. |
Religion / Re: World Ends On Saturday? ('Judgement Day May 21') by worldbest(m): 10:26pm On May 17, 2011 |
@Dolemite You can atleast ignore the thread. That way you will stop your insultive/rude/ignorant comments towards God. I dont see any reason why you should add to this thread except your mission is to help people backslide. I was going to check you profile; to see how pretty you are but i have no interest in someone who will end up regretting not listening to the words of wisdom. To me, somewhr in your heart you want to believe thats why you keep attacking threads that relates to God. Dont fight it, one day you will not be able to contain it, it will take over you. You will weep one day and hate yourself for the disrespectful way you address God. GOD LOVES YOU. JESUS DID DIE FOR YOU. |

@Gameaddict, Wao, that looks nice. Great job you doing learning alot. Thanks for the script. All i need to do is just model a human hand and give it some animation. Yes, i am in full support for such kind of game. we certainly dont need animations for it. We can quickly draw up a plan and start it, no time wasting. Lately, i have been falling in love with blender. I still haven't given up with rigging and animating. One of the human body part that drives me nuts is the finger and its Inverse kinematics. But today, i was able rig and weight paint it. Lets keep learning. Where is everybody else? Cheers! |

Using UnityScript/Javascript is not anywhere near professional because of the its OOP limitation. Creating classes is really difficult. I would need to set time to brush up on my C#. |
