I'm a PRECLINICAL dental student(200l) we were about randing up first semester before the pandemic, guy I want to correct something,Dentistry cutoff is only low in UNN(maybe because people don't know about the profession in South east),i remember getting Dentistry with a jamb score of 297 self in UNN 2018,guy if you go to southwest schools like OAU UI an UNILAG the cutoff is next after medicine no other course in COLLEGE OF MEDICINE beat dentistry cutoff apart from MEDICINE Again from 2019 set Dentistry is now competitive they are only 44 in '025 set now they were 100+ unn reduced them some months after they were admitted(their caps change to other departments to like physiology, med rehab, anatomy and physiology) and again this ones about entering for 2020 they scored very high I know about 5 people aspiring for dentistry with over 320 in UTME

I'm a medical student now in a state university. I was in dentistry then.

thank you for really grate explanation of oral and maxillofacial surgery
You're welcome. However, I'm a medical student in a state university now. I had an issue with UNN. So, I left on my own. Dentistry is good. If not because of my issue with them, I wouldn't have left dentistry. The state university in which I was finally offered a direct entry admission doesn't offer dentistry.

Good afternoon all. Please how is it easy to get admission into Lasu mbbs? I missed the admission last year even though candidates with screening points lower than mine gained admission into the program. This year, I scored 300 in the utme and I have 1b2, 3b3 and 1c4 in my waec. From experience on the admission process at Lasu, any hope for me, please?
BTW, any Lasu medical/Dental students and aspirants here?
I'm a lasu medical aspirant,we have similar results both in utme(299) and olevel(4 b3's and 1c4)

NB: This is my personal opinion
State university in terms of medicine. It is not in the correct order tho
1. LASU
2 Delsu
3. Ebsu
4. Oou
5. NDU

Federal universities
1. UI
2 Uniben
3. OAU
4. Unilag
5. Unilorin
6. BUK

Like Orezy5 said, all fully accredited schools are best for medicine. Just get admitted and develop yourself as a medical student.
