Slimdove: Don't take this as an advice, just my thoughts. Your losses are still paper losses if your reasons for buying ,such as time-frame has not changed, you can hold it. I'm surprised it came within touching distance of 8.25 so early in the week. Do I expect a bounce before it gets to 7.70-7.75? Maybe, but it would need a catalyst to change course or pause. The volume is not suspect at the moment. Recession will be global, the only problem is that no one will ring a bell when the tide starts to shift. I cannot advise you to sell or hold it because your time-frame is personal to your circumstances. If you're a technical trader, you will have cut your losses and moved on. If you're more long-term oriented, then paper losses are part of the course so don't check your trading platform daily. 3 Likes |

Slimdove:What made you invest heavily in FBNH in the first place? DD, fundamentals, bandwagon effect or Otedola factor? What was your motive and objective?? Think if you can sincerely answer yourself, then you'll likely know what to do or maybe you could get much better advice. You come forth like someone knowledgeable in this biz from some of your previous contributions, so I expect more emotional control from you. See one of your posts below. Anyway, I think you'll just have to exercise enough patience especially if you didn't borrow to invest here.......and moreso that your loss is just paper profit, you don't lose unless you sell. I equally think you answered yourself in your below post. First Bank is not the only bank/stock feeling the heat. Also, the news that Otedola sold some shares is mostly responsible for the sell-off, the guy is wise and a business man, it may be another strategy to come and accumulate more at cheaper price again. Besides, he still remain the highest single shareholder in FBNH so far........ As for Peter, to change mouth can be so easy for him........he's seriously looking for bargain, so expect to see more bad news from him. Slimdove: |

ZENITH, GTCO and STANBIC: Outlook looking somehow stable in today's market with some form of shedding resistance.........UNTIL towards closing that the dumper appeared again...... Is the trend going to be halted or will continue?? Is the dumper done dumping or still have more kaya to offload?? We'll know as trading continues in coming days....... 1 Like |
