If we are so irrelevent why do you breathe, eat, live, everything ghana. I bet majority of your posts as something to do with ghana and ghanaians. Admit it that is what brings you joy everytime you come to nairaland hoping for a ghanaian thread to bash. i pity your life

lekkie073: going thru d first quarter of the year, their internal affairs ministry got to know that the income yield had decimated seriously. what led to that? levies not recieved from nigerian-owned shops. whats the solution? re-open it. nigerians are great people!

Point of correction, it is not Nigerians, it is Igbos. We develop and impact wherever we go, Its in the genes, its in our make up, smart and business savvy....

Cusubaba: Black is beautiful but Ghanaians made it ugly. Ghanaians are not black but charcoal. John Mickel Obi, Yaya Toure, and Didier Drogba are black in nature but handsome. While Micheal Essien, Agyma Bedu, Fatau Dauda, Sule Muntale, and Ghana former president John Kuffor are Charcoal Apes.

Haba Baba!!! One African man calling his African brother an ape; how lame is that?! Black is beautiful. Free the Ghanaians abeg. When are we going to change sef? If it is not igbo vs yoruba, it is Naija vs Ghana. Kai!!!

How could nigeria have banned ghana goods when they suppose to be i a "brotherly" union?Brothers shouldn't be afraid of competition with one another, because the betterment of one tranmits to the other.

Finally, Nigerian shopkeepers in Ghana don't have to go back to their previous career -- armed robbery. My country is safe for the time being.

The thing is when you insult or say something about someones country then they will insult back as you can see now. There is always some idiot who decides to say something and then all of a sudden the rest of the evening would be spent insulting each other. Like i was on the South african thread and ppl were also fighting amongst the south africans then all of a sudden red light mentioned something abt Ghanaians and that is when the whole thing went down. You have alot of hate for ghanaians which is very evident. Pls go ahead and hate and see if it really makes you feel better or improves your life. You have also said some insulting things yet you turn around as if your innocent and say Ghanaians are meaningful in senseless insults? Hello seriously smdh

How could they have closed shops belonging to Nigerians? We call ourselves brothers, yet they look for every excuse to evacuate us from their dead country.

Why don't they completely isolate themselves from everything that has to do with Nigeria and see if their economy won't crumble. We can do without them, but they definitely cannot do without Nigeria.

Now watch Dagonte's cement revenue go down year after year. We are bringing high quality cement and textiles at competitive prices to your huddled masses.

Now Lagos' floating ghettos will start erecting concrete buildings instead of wooden ones.

I would like to know exactly what the real reason was for closing the shops because there are so many diff stories going around. Some ppl are quick to fight. Did they do anything wrong? Did they have the right legal papers etc etc. If it was really an unfair closing of these men shops for no justifiable reason then that is sad and an injustice, but if it was out of legal matter than you cannot really blame them because when you do not abide by the rules in many countries eventually you will get into trouble.

sorry for the late reply. Ghc2.1=$1. the cedi does depreciate but steadily unlike previous. and with inflation single digit, general price level is stable except for recently when fuel subsidies where once again removed.

The reason is, we have a law which states that petty trading is reserved for Ghanaians. Any foreigner who wishes to engage in retail business should invest a high amount into it and adhere to some other minor regulations.

The law wasn't specifically directed at Nigerians, but because y'all are paranoid, don't like to follow rules, feel entitled but have low self-esteem...

Rossikk:

Ghana has just 20 million people and has been the world's 2nd largest producer of gold after South Africa, and largest producer of cocoa on earth for over a century, and now is an oil and gas producer. Yet your population is still mired in poverty and underdevelopment, with only half your population connected to your national power grid. Outside Accra, there's nothing. What happened to all the money? At least Nigeria can say she needs more time, with 170 million mouths to feed. What is Ghana's excuse?? You should be like Kuwait or UAE, instead you're little different from Sierra Leone.

I suggest you stop playing 'perfect nation' while your 'squeaky clean' leaders loot your national wealth to kingdom come.

what's your country doing with the great labour force, billions from being a great oil exporter, cocoa producer n billions from taxes of 150mil? just asking.
