Thanks so much for the good work you guys are doing on this forum.
I was selected in the dv visa lottery 2014. I have B.sc in chemistry.
In the application form, I filled university degree as highest educaton
obtained. There is a date of birth mistake in my waec result . It has
14th Nov 1985 on it, instead of 12th Nov 1985. I have gone for error
correction which might take sometime. I have all photocopied documents
backing the error correction such like photocopy of waec result, letter
from the school principal,birth certificate,bank draft,receipt of
payment,a filled form for error correction. Please I want to know if the
photocopied documents are acceptable or can i use my neco result but my problem with neco result is that i did not fill it in the form submitted to kcc or can my University degree result
serve me for the interview ? Please advice me on what to do.
The photocopies of the error correction is good but u just need a correction of DOB from high court and u re good to go. I had a similar error on my WAEC cert.,and on my interview day,the CO did nt ask me about it.
Put ur mind to rest, hope this helped.

I beg to disagree sir, unless you can prove this. Check opinion of other members relating to the issue below:
posted @ https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here/154 and
posted earlier @ https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here/63#17932633 then,
and many others if you could read previous posts.
In view of all these, Mr. Atandaishola794, I will advice you to invest little more time to read what is on their site @ http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4760.html and make your choice

@Yoggybear, Dont be offended pls, I just feel he should be properly guided.

Lol @ Mr Obatide. You don't need to quote the whole wide world for me. We're saying the same thing. Just that I didn't type it well.
What I meant was " Yes get Npc attestation that's what's required at the embassy"
Hope you we're clear now grin

On the contrary, they actually allowed me in with my baby food after a thorough check, I had the hot water flask, milk and the feeding bottle. They only need to be sure that you have a baby you need to feed but certainly not drinks or snacks as we made the kids took their food in the car as soon as we got there.

Re: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by kevweflex(m): 1:44pm On Dec 02, 2013
Good afternoon house. Please I want make a suggestion. We all did not meet here by mistake or chance, I believe it's orchestrated by the Most High that we have to know one another here at this time. Many have come and gone especially after successful interview, they jet out and are too busy most times to say hi. It's not that they don't want to say hi, but like I wrote, they are too busy. From this, I wish to suggest that we try as much as possible to connect with one another, I know some of us have already, but it would be great if we continue to remain as one family. Nairaland is the platform with which we all knew ourselves at the instance of winning the DV lottery. Wouldn't it be lovely also if we continue to see each other after now, drop lines via the various social media, share business ideas after now in the USA? We would all be one strong indivisible family of class of DV 2014 family. Have reunions in the States. I'm sure it would be wonderful. What say you guys in the house? If you agree, click like and send PMs to members to connect.

.

You may be allowed to go in with snacks for your children. I saw one little girl eating snack in the hall. Advisably, get a light meal for the children. I made my children to take tea & slice of bread before entering the hall. We were out by 9.15am. Is like there are preference for family with children.

Pls don't forget to offload yourself of any metallic objects & those things that are forbidden. I wish you all the best & your is sure in Jesus name.

Congratulations & Rejoice.

Your dependant that is above 16 years must obtain his/her police report (Each applicant aged 16 years or older must submit police certificates to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview).- This is to be taken along on the day of interview & not to be sent to KCC pls.

Secondly: HND is considered a university degree
