BascoVanVeli: This seems like jealousy na. What does a jersey have to do with anything? This is why people don't share good things because someone always wants to use the information to attack. U and TheSuperNerd should just agree to disagree before this gets any uglier. There is nothing wrong in that Personally, there isn’t anything wrong in receiving jersey from players. But, the moment a football analyst, Referees start salivating about receiving Jerseys, messages from players, Coaches, his integrity on that player becomes in doubt because there’s emotion attached to it. Shikena. For example, Abba kyari (A police chief) was on record boldly conveying a message that he only sowed cloth for a Famous Criminal “Hushpuppi” Normally, there shouldn’t be any issue with tailoring clothes for anyone. But, as a police chief, you cannot be boldly saying that you sowed cloth for a Criminal and expect us to not question your integrity |

But Biko, make una rest from this matter. Let's discuss football and SE. I remember you praising the man in the past on here so it’s kind of surprising how he described his fan simply because he disagreed with one of your comments. This is exactly how he treats osimehn issue. You can compliment osimehn 99 times and all is well but as soon as you criticize him once, the man will take you as an enemy. The moment a referee, analyst etc start receiving allurement from players is the moment that their integrity Becomes in Doubt |

Well, this is Clementoke
No more comments as that verse of the bible describes you perfectly. Just know that any time you demonstrate that juvenile attitude of yours towards any moniker on this thread, you will always have me to contend with.
Thank you Don’t mind the Crook. All I said was that “A player must perform world class consistency for few seasons to be the undisputed king” and he took it personal. You advised him by using bible verse and his response was that “you’re jealous of him” the same you that previously praised the man in the past is now jealous of him. And let me give you a hint. Every player I have spoken for must have me on their payroll, so that should narrow the search for you. Go right ahead and show us the list...
If you cannot do that, and you persist with calling me a Criminal and paid associate.... then you are less than a f**l. Deal? You were on record here salivating that osimehn sent you praises and handed you a Jersey. What else did he handed you, an urgent 5k? My friend, I know your type and I have seen them in the past I.e Abba kyari. In the soccer analysts world, your integrity is already at Doubt regarding that player discussion. Also, your insult simply because one said that “A player has to be world class consistently for few seasons before becoming the undisputed king in Africa” solidified all I needed to know. TheSuperNerd: I should grow up? No man, you should grow up. Come wear my shoes and tell me about growing up.
You know what it's like to see your well researched work or takes get quoted with stupid takes borne out of jealousy and bad belle?
You should also grow up outta the shadows and come take my place as one of the key analysts bringing news and well researched information about our players from time to time and taking the time and patience to analyse their potentials, their strengths, their weaknesses, covering their performances and trying to bring them to the rest of the Nigerian and if possibly, world audience.
I don't tolerate stupid especially when it comes in response to analytical work that took time to compile and forge a genuine opinion on.
It's so easy for some folks to pick up their phones or gadgets and type nonsense here from time to time. So easy. All without due research or informed analysis.
So Listen, for me, stupid is not allowed in here. Let's keep the stupid out of the thread.
This thread is no a place to drop or experiment stupid tots or takes. It's grown into a hub for intellectual discourses and sound takes based on well researched info from different perspectives. Thank you.
And one more thing, it's the Super Eagles thread and it's for us all who discuss everything Nigerian football and Super Eagles. But none of you pay us, the major contributors, to do the brilliant work we do in here. We do it for passion. If it was that easy, you would grow up and take my place. Gracias. Onuachu scored 33 league goals in more than 35 league games and Iheanacho scored just 12 league goals in 25 league games.
Onuachu finished 7th on the Golden Shoe rankings because of these numbers while not counting his other non league goals. Yet you say Nacho was the best African striker last season.
Between you and I, it is obvious to all that truth eludes you.

TheSuperNerd: And what about Simy?? He scored 20 league goals and finished above Iheanacho on the European Golden Shoe rankings in a Top 5 league with same impact factor as the EPL. Yet you ignored him over Nacho.
And who is talking undisputed at the moment? The next decade will decide the undisputed.
But talking right now, Osimhen is indeed Africa's go-to striker. That was the discussion all along but you always wanted to digress to push your unhealthy iheanacho agenda..... and you doing that rubbish with a reputed Iheanacho fancy on this thread. Everyone will tell you that you have nothing on me when it comes to rating Iheanacho. Yet I wasn't tagged a criminal for that. But in Osimhen's case, I am a criminal. Lol
You know what, Mister, shove this opinion up your ass. I don't have need for it. Nonsense and Large. Like I said again, when comparing a player, you have to consider His Goals, assist, Minutes, games played, Quality of Goals, trophies won and impact and when considering all these factors, my pick last season was IHEANACHO. But, I still told nacho to improve on his weakness (forumers co-signed) and wouldn’t say that nacho is Africa torch bearer until he replicates similar performances for multiple season. (That was the foundation of this argument) i hope you realized that iheanacho only started playing consistently in February last season and still put in those numbers |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 11:40am On Oct 06, 2021 |
TheSuperNerd: And in a nutshell, your argument is rubbish. Simple as that.
Simy scored 20 league goals yet you pick Iheanacho. Are EPL and Serie A not together in the top 5 leagues? Is the impact factor for goals scored in both leagues not the same? Why pick Nacho over Simy then? See how nonsense your argument sounds.
When I say a striker is rated much more than goals, you won't understand. Infact you always say a striker is rated by the number of goals scored but yet you ignore Simy who scored more and declare Nacho as the best African striker last season. Even ignoring Onuachu. Mtchewwww
Look, In all, Onuachu won the battle of Strikers gong last season. Outscoring Salah in the European Golden Shoe rankings is no small feat.
Yet, this same Onuachu is not even our number 1 striker and no one can complain about that because the lad who is number 1 constantly proves why he is so.
There is a level you get to in football analysis and you just understand that some things aren't so straight forward or black and white. There are many other parameters and factors to consider when rating players.
But no..... I am a Criminal because I affirm Osimhen as Africa's best Striker today. I bet that makes everyone at Goal a Criminal too.
Baby talk. Simy scored 20 league goals last season, yes but how many were penalties? How many assist? What was his overall contribution, impact at games? How many games and minutes did he play? Like I said, when you consider Goals, assists, Quality of league, impact, types of Goal, Iheanacho was Nigeria best striker last season. But, he isn’t the torch bearer or undisputed King until he replicates similar performances for a few more seasons. |

TheSuperNerd: An Onuachu who sits on the bench and rightly so for Osimhen in the Nigerian senior national team should be picked ahead of Osimhen in the Africa XI??
It doesn't make any sense.
And about form, both command similar veins of form. So it comes down to much more than goals.
And Osimhen is obviously the gold standard bearer for Strikers in Serie A right now. Read the Italian reports. The choice is justified from every eye-test, Performance and valuation angle. In my opinion, onuachu has to prove himself at the big 3 or big 5 to even compete with the likes of osimehn, iheanacho , aubemeyang. While the likes of osimehn, iheanacho has to show consistency for few seasons for any of them to be the torch bearer and undisputed 9 in Africa (that was the argument) |

TheSuperNerd: And this is a lie. Iheanacho was the EPL's most clinical finisher from last season and is still has among the best G+A ratio in 2021 in England BUT the best African striker last season was Ebere Paul Onuachu.
Finished 7th in the European Golden Shoe rankings. I posted that rankings several times last season. But becos it didn't have Iheanacho whom you unhealthily asslick and always look to pit against other Super Eagles forwards, you obviously don't recall.
No African player finished higher than him on the European Golden Shoe rankings for 20/21 season. Not Salah, Not Iheanacho, Not Mane, Not Mahrez, Not Aubameyang and certainly not my main man, Osimhen.
Onuachu was Africa's best last season and not being picked ahead of Osimhen despite those exploits is very much obvious to all except you who don't understand Football.
Go analyse PDC Darts, Child. When I’m analyzing my records, i am accounting for the Quality of your League, impact, goals, assist and overall performance before concluding on my report. Considering the aforementioned last season, I handed it to Kelechi. Note- slimy scored more goals 20 in Seria A, but I still picked iheanacho. Also, I won’t call iheanacho as the undisputed African 9 until he shows a few seasons of similar World class performances. (Na my argument be that). |
