TheLoneCitizen: Yes I did. That might be his best game, but definitely not a complete performance.
In tonight's game, he had no deficiency. I highly disagree. His last game was his best and most complete performance that I have seen from osimehn. In fact, he reminded me of a young drogba |

TheLoneCitizen: Osimhen ticked all the right boxes in that game.
Good concentration. Became an outlet and target for his team when they sat back. Good close control. The best I've seen of him. Good first touch.
In my opinion, his most complete performance since moving to Napoli despite the scrappy goal.
Are you sure that you watched his last game vs Leicester? |

TheLoneCitizen: There's no way a 30-year-old me who has been scoring screamers for over a decade will be looking to pass to a 22-year-old newcomer when I can do it myself.
Ounas is 24 I think. Yes, I agree but that's the way that we see it. Osimehn has to work twice as hard and he must not miss any chance that he gets. It's the only way that he will reach 20 goals this season |

TheLoneCitizen: It's not really like that. Some players are just more trigger happy than others, Salah is an example.
Look at the example of Mane. This season he is shooting more than ever because he told the media he wants to score 30 this season.
You don't know if Insigne has similar target. I've watched Insigne extensively even at the Euros and he seems to trust his abilities excessively.
If he was selfish or egoistic, I don't think he would be captain under two managers. He is selfish, but I don't blame him considering he is their all time top scorer, used to being their star man and his numbers back it up. There's a reason why osimehn scores more when ounas is behind him. Ounas is content with Creating chances and allowing osimehn to score while insique wants to score by all means necessary |

Insigne doesn't want anyone to outshine him including osimehn nor does he passes the ball. Osimehn will score more goals with Ounas behind him |

edi287: Simon Moses has been "dependable" for us. Not as flashy or dynamic as the likes of Samu, Kalu, Ejuke, etc but he's one Rohr likes because he always puts in a shift on both ends of the pitch. His main duty is to create chances, assist and score and if he cannot do his main duty, someone else has to be given a chance. Enough of these moral victory nonsense |

andrewbaba44: He might have had a bad game in our last 2 qualifiers doesn’t meant he hasn’t been good for the Eagles
You need to stop lying bro ,the ejuke you praised una go still insult am soon
Simon Moses has been good for the eagles ,he has not been most of you guys favorite that’s why No he hasn’t and we should stop lying. Just because he is assisting through corner kicks or an anywhere belle face pass at his club should not negate the fact that he hasn’t had an impressive performance for SE in a minute. Anyway, Rohr can continue to not field his best players until next nations cup. If Rohr doesn’t reach the finals or Win the ANC, then he might have to go |

So many solid strikers and wingers available but not many 10. Younger generations, please raise your children to become a playmaker because we don’t want this playmaker issue to be rampant in the next generation. |

chrisooblog: Chief I get that you support Nwakali. Like you I want him to achieve his potential but let him achieve it first before unnecessarily hyping the guy. That's how we hyped Rabiu Ibrahim and Lukman Haruna rushed to invite them to the SE which ended in them not doing anything tangible in the national team.
All this qualities you keep harping on about Nwakali other coaches can't be blind to it so when he shines through the whole world will see and we won't have to be arguing about it as it will be obvious to all. My friend sharrap. What has bonke and micheal do to be invited ahead of nwakali? The same ejaria and olise that you people are salivating over we’re playing division 2 football last season. You must understand that for a Nigerian to be handed the number 10 shirt in an European club isn’t easy because they view all our midfielders as “holding energetic midfielders” I’m not even saying that nwakali should start, but based on his game vs Ath and him playing at the segunda, aggregate to the fact that the likes of bonke, micheal can be invited then nwakali is good enough to make the 30 |

TheLoneCitizen: I don't understand sir, how can Iheancho's best trait be creativity, yet he doesn't know how to pass? Go and check how many chances that kelechi creates in a game when played as an 8. Also, just because you can create chances (assist) doesn’t mean that you have the passing range, stamina and strength to play 10 control, dictate the tempo of a game. |

andrewbaba44: Allow nwakali to be at his best and leave him alone for now . Which best. If bonke, and Kingsley can make the substitute team, then nwakali is also good enough now to be on the substitute |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 5:21am On Sep 17, 2021 |
Kelechi best traits are Clinical finishing and creating chances. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the stamina, strength, passing ability to play as a number 10, and he is best utilized as an 8 or support striker. You want your best chances to fall to kelechi because he is a clinical Finisher. For now, iwobi or Nwakali are the best options as a 10. |

Kelechi saying that he is unfazed at being benched and given only 65 minutes (in 4 games) despite being Leicester city top scorer last season. It’s obvious that kelechi doesn’t really believe in himself and probably feels content at just receiving a nice salary smh (why Rodgers not go treat anyone that way)? |

JohnBullMySon: Pound for Pound. Moses is still far better than Onyekuru. The only thing I like about Onyekuru is that he has eyes for goal.
Ejuke knows how to dribble but he messes up the attack too often. He holds the ball for too long, giving the defense an opportunity to mark others. If he can add quick passing, he'll be more useful and dangerous. So you would rather musa or Moses that doesn’t even beat their man or absolutely no end product? Ejuke made the keeper save 2 great saves yesterday, if not na 2 goals be dat. His combination with Collins was impressive |

samtol4: Musa and Simon are sure banker for the team. Henry and Ejuke will be dropped for cup of nations. Too sad Rohr can decide to not field his best players but at the end of the day, if he doesn’t surpass 2019 ANC result, his job will be for the taking. |

damagnificentusb: I disagree with your last statement. I do not think ebuehi is clearly better than aina Go and rewatch Nigeria vs Argentina, England (friendly matches) and Iceland and see the effect of ebuehi introduction. At RB, ebuehi is better than Aina (in my opinion) |

Stormtrooper11: I understand. But don't you feel that 352 exposes our defensive weaknesses? Not really. 352 when attacking and 532 while defending is such a solid formation if your RWB and LWB understand thier position, has a powerful Fitness level and can cross the ball. |

Stormtrooper11: Guys, do we play better with two strikers upfront or with a single striker? I wanna know y'all opinions. Osimhen was kinda off in the Liberia game. Man got me doubting his reliability. It depends on your opponents. For example, if we're playing a superior opponent (Fifa ranking wise) 352 will be more balanced and adequate while when playing and inferior opponent, 442, 433 can be utilized. I want kelechi and osimehn partnership to continue but it should be done in a 352 formation |

Please can you explain what you mean by Aribo and Ndidi can switch. Let's not make judgement on aribo until we see him in a decent pitch. The aribo that impressed against Brazil and Poland isn't the same aribo that has been playing in all these horrible pitch. |

[quote author=Meliforme post=105627490]My good man, is crossing ability the only thing that is reckoned as end product?
The ability to beat your marker in both pace and dribbles is a huge asset to any winger. While he needs to work on crossing the ball, his long balls, through balls and finishing are good. I have seen Ejuke deliver good crosses, but that is usually not the first thing he would want to do. [applying,
He could had scored 2 good goals if not for the save of their goalie. Modern day wingers main attribute isn't about crossing but assisting, creating chances and scoring. I.e mane, salah |

Stormtrooper11: Tyronne Ebuehi, isn't having enough chances to prove himself. I really like Ola Aina. I like Aina's style of play, but I'll like to see Ebuehi getting a few starts in GWG colours to prove himself. The coach doesn't select his best players and we can clearly see it by the selection of Simon Moses and Musa ahead of onyekuru and ejuke. Ejuke first half was better than Musa and Moses last 5 games for super eagles. The same issue is occurring at RB as ebuehi is clearly better than aina |

The coach unjust selection can be pardoned due to the caliber of inferior opposition that we’re facing thus far. But, at the highest level Locally vs the best team in the continent (Algeria, Senegal) or internationally (world cup) not selecting your best players can be the difference from winning Nations cup and a World Cup Quarter final appearance. I was impressed with Rohr substitution yesterday |

Stormtrooper11: Right now, in any important Super Eagles match, I'll always prefer Henry Onyekuru to Samuel Chukwueze. In matches, we need the end products. The dribbles and skills, are other additions. We should stop depending on the Centre Forward alone, to give us goals. We need Wingers that score. IMHO, Onyekuru is the better winger. Onyekuru na baller. Another impressive performance again from him continuing from where he stopped vs Liberia. Unfortunately, if everyone is fit and available for selection, onyekuru and ejuke will be dropped to accommodate Simon Moses and Ahmed musa (Bad end product) our coach doesn’t even know his best players |

Joebie: Tomorrow now if Uzoho makes a mistake, they would start calling for Okoye. If we had a keeper like that Liberia coach wetin we go talk? Prior to this game, he conceded 4 goals Sierra Leone. The guy is 19 and he has a bright future ahead of him. But, as of now, uzoho seems more commanding, matured, and a presence than okoye. Uzoho last 2 games prior to his injury were exception vs Ukraine and Brazil |

On Record, Sanusi is chilling on the Bench. We should take it easy on this Thread. Rohr has done more good than bad for Super Eagles.
He knows the Lads more than us. He knows their Strengths and Limitations, coz he coaches them. We should be calming down on this Board abegi. Collins has been good today but zaidu is slightly better. Zaidu should blame himself for coming late to camp |

drDoom3: Ejuke was our best player this first half. We need to play with more urgency. I think Simon is not as good today because Shehu is messing up behind him. I would even prefer bringing Zaidu in as an RB or Ozornwafor in then Awaziem to RB because Shehu is not ready. Caught out of position for their goal, like I predicted earlier. Werey! When was the last good game that Moses Simon and Ahmed Musa had for SE? |
