I dont hate yorubas as well,i only hate how they, along with some myopic ss ppl, castigate, malign and insult the only ppl who are giving us southerners the opportunity to vie for a new and fresh beginning-the Igbos. Other southern regions can leverage of the current tension and strongly and solidly agitate for true federalism /resource control, total reconstruction and restructure..without the ipob agitation,we all will be zombies in the xoo. Well benin empire,hmmm..sounds cool. Thank You. I said earlier that the Biafran movement is the only reason we are having a debate over Niger Delta sovereignty as a separate Nation. If it was up to the Yorubas or Hausa-Fulani they will rather stage a broad day light genocide to wipe us out of the face of the earth for sake of the oil. They have been castigating us as fools and myopic but when we stand up they will call us criminals. The problem is not Igbo or Biafra but the Yoruba-Fulani Hausa and Nijeriya that is keeping the Niger Delta down |

John Nwodo stated categorically that he can't do anything about the agitation, until the issues that caused the addressed are addressed.
Let everyone keep his card close to his chest, nothing there to loose. Besides, IPOB is not doing anything illegal . All their activities have been peaceful and are protected in the constitution so why should the Igbo elite condemn a peaceful movement ? |

1. First Pharoah insisted that he will never allow the Jews to go.
2. Pharoah then later asked the Jews to leave Egypt but they must not take any of their properties with them but only the clothes on their back.
3. Pharoah will then later allow the Jews to leave Egypt with all their properties l
4. The Egyptians then made parting gifts with the Jews giving them gold and every other thing the Jews demanded from them.
5. Pharoah will later raise an army to intercept and kill the Jews.
6. God puts the red sea between Pharoah and the Jews.
7. Jewish exodus marks the beginning of the end of the Egyptian empire as a super power.
Out of these notable 7 stages, Igbos have achieved 2 and are on the verge of achieving 3 and 4 |

The northern ultimatum issued by the youth wing of the Arewa forum cited the silence of Igbo elites, politicians and other stake holders from the region and indifference to condemn the secessionist agenda spearheaded by IPOB as one of the reasons why the threat of expulsion was handed down to Igbos residing in the north.
Let me state here that no SE politician or any group mandated to speak on behalf of the Igbo people should offer any form of apology on behalf of the Igbo nation over the activities of IPOB.
Was it not this same northern elite who have since refused to condemn Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen?
Rather, the north has been reeling out daft conspiracy theories linking the activities of Boko Haram to the Goodluck administration roping in CAN as the main sponsors of Boko Haram.
Or have we forgotten how the same north came out to tell us that the Fulani herdsmen causing havock over the land are not Nigerians?
Or how about El Rufai who went as far as stating that he had located and contacted the militia commanders in a far away country and has paid them off to stop killing southern Kaduna Christians .
Or what about the very current president who stated unequivocally that "a fight against Boko Haram is a fight against the north"?
Igbos do not have to explain or defend the activities of IPOB neither are they to make apologies for the group.
Simple. |

Afam4eva: Should Nigeria seperate based on your groupings, here's what the nations will look like.
Arewa: I think any nation that comes out from the north can't do better than they are doing in Nigeria considering the fact that they are hugely at an advantage in Nigeria and have not done much. Without oil money, the poverty in that region will skyrocket which will give room to even more fundamentalism.
Niger Delta Republic: They have the natural resources but do they have the human resources to handle the resources? I think not. It's left to be seen how far they can utilize their reources as the area is very volatile to clashes still bordering on resource control. But if the leaders are very serious, things will turn around for the best, but i won't hold my breathe on that one.
Oduduwa Republic: I think this is the part of Nigeria that is most ready for a republic, truth be told. But whether they can maintain the omentum outside Nigeria without money coming from the Niger Delta is another story. Lagos is not all there is to this region. Even Lagos will suffer a lot of capital flight due to the seperation of Nigeria. But they can maintain a stable economy if they out their human resource in place.
Biafra: This unit will be the worst from the onset because of lack of infrastructure owing to decades of neglect from the federal government. From the onset, things will look gloomy. But they have the human resource ad very inventive. So, i think evidence of progress will start being glaring after about half a decade. Biafrans have a huge advantage and let me state why: 1. They fought twice to establish their nation. It wasn't handed down to them and so they will be starting on a highly patriotic note. The Igbos as you are aware are the only source of any meaningful development back in their home states and villages unlike the case of Odua and Arewa which depend heavily on migrant Igbos and govt subsidy. So issues of tax revenue in a legitimate Igbo nation will not be hard to generate. Igbos I know com together to contribute their money in age groups to send back to their villages to execute one project or the other. What do you think they will do in a Biafran nation where they know their pride is at stake? 2. No natural resources to squabble about. Of course there is oil but not enough to export and meet their needs. The new state will not be exporting but using the little oil they have to conserve much needed forex and you are aware that natural resources in Africa have been the primary reasons for the continents several conflicts 3. A highly independent minded individual population who will not wait for govt but do their part thereby freeing the new govt from performing useless subsidies. Now I have to address the insult you heaped on a whole region - Niger Delta when you stated we lack the intellectual resources to lead ourselves. I won't educate you because obviously you don tey for lagos and maybe your family tree is filled with the stereotypical ogogoro palm wine tappers. Can any governor match Duke or Akpabio? Fool |

See this osogbo reared taju claiming social media lawyer The Torture Victim Protection Act of 1991 (TVPA; Pub.L. 102–256 , H.R. 2092 , 106 Stat. 73 , enacted March 12, 1992) is a statute that allows for the filing of civil suits in the United States against individuals who, acting in an official capacity for any foreign nation, committed torture and/or extrajudicial killing . The statute requires a plaintiff to show exhaustion of local remedies in the location of the crime, to the extent that such remedies are "adequate and available." Plaintiffs may be U.S. citizens or non-U.S. citizens. Although the Act was not passed until early 1992, it was introduced the previous year, and the official name of the Act is the "Torture Victim Protection Act of 1991." Legal issues In 1992, Sister Dianna Ortiz was the first to file a case under the act, in a civil action against former general and Defense Minister Héctor Gramajo of Guatemala , contending that, by his command authority, he was responsible for her abduction, rape, and torture by military forces in Guatemala in November 1989. abbey621: I'll just show you 3 things wrong here:
1. Civil Case: What Biafrans want is not monetary compensation but criminal prosecution.
2. Extrajudicial killing - Biafrans would have to argue that the protesters were not armed and the use of force was not sanctioned by the present rule of law in Nigeria.
3. They now have to show that they have exhausted all local remedies which means they have tried the judicial system in Nigeria, there are written documentation of nonchalant response from the justice system and so on.
There's a reason why this particular act has never been applied to a democratic government, the burden of proof is exhausting! Stop being daft The court's first award to the plaintiffs is to determine if Buruntai was a war criminal. Any other thing nah jara as final compensation will surely follow a favorable ruling to the plaintiffs This is the beginning of the end Elbanwi, rather than post on social media why not consider this precedence and Sue Buhari, Buruntai, El Rufai and Nigerian Army in a US Federal court over the zaria massacre? |

Let me state equivocally that I do not hate any Biafrans all I'm saying here is for them to behave with some intelligence.
