Symphony007: It gives me great joy that there are still countries in africa with a judiciary that does it job without sentiments or personal feelings. No country on earth can have a constitution which protects fundamental human rights then go ahead to criminalize freedom of expression. It is ridiculous and no judiciary will stand for that. Nigeria should take note. Our supreme court must strike down ours if it gets to their desk. If our governments wants it's anti gay law to stand, then it should do a constitutional amendment were fundamental human rights is removed then a law like that can stand. But you can't claim to protect human rights and put people in jail for living their lives because you don't like how they do it. It's a mockery of constitutional democracy. You can't eat your cake and have it.

PLEASE STOP THIS YOUR DELIBERATE "MISINFORMATION"!

First, you need to check your dictionary properly, to educate yourself on what the phrase "expression" means, especially in the context of its constitutional protection.
FYI: It refers basically to your right and ability to SAY WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND. It is a "verbal priviledge" given to us by the constitution ..
.....and the same constitution ALSO went ahead to PUT LIMITS on that FREEDOM, with punishment for SLANDER and DEFAMATION.
All these are used in the "CONTEXT OF SPEECH"". So, it is NEVER ABSOLUTE!

Now, how on earth can a person who has passed through the four walls of any school, l mean any school at all, equate "open practice of Homosexuality" with Freedom of speech?
Sex, albeit perverse sex is "an act", not "a speech" and therefore is NOT COVERED by that fundamental human right jargon you spewed up there.

Again, most of you perverts like to compare "Oranges with Apples", not because you are not very intelligent but because you think you can befuddle everyone by mixing-things-up! shocked shocked

Having Anal S*ex with same specie has been since God knows when, it even pre-dates Biblical times.
Then, it was a cardinal sin worthy of being stoned to death but hey, this is the 21st century where "everything goes", right?
But the problem is not with gays taking a dig at each others Shyte-Hole, THE PROBLEM IS WITH gays TRYING TO IMPRESS AND FORCE THEIR PERVERSE CHOICE ON OTHERS!
For example, why take it to primary schools and be teaching young and impressionable kids that Homosexuality is right and they can choose to be so? Why not leave them to grow-up into an adult and then let them DECIDE of their own FREEWILL, if they fancy such?
This is just one example of where they court trouble!

Again, this article made it clear WHY THE LAW WAS STRUCK DOWN ....but you chose to "celebrate and jump-up" without even taking a closer look at it before serving notice to Nigeria! grin grin grin
READ IT AGAIN PLEASE!

The Supreme court struck the law down for one simple reason: IT WAS PASSED WITHOUT FORMING A QUORUM IN THE HOUSE.
In case you missed it as well, "Quorum" means at least "two-thirds" of all parliamentarians MUST BE PRESENT during voting (ofcourse we know that it was overwhelmingly passed by those present, but the "at least three objections mentioned were even about "the lack of quorum", not about the law itself)

Thus, the Supreme court of Uganda is right is striking it down, NOT FOR ITS MORAL DEFICIT, BUT FOR LACK OF QUORUM!

What this simply translates to is that the House of Parliament will RE-CONVENE, ENSURE THERE IS QUORUM AND PASS THE LAW AGAIN!
tongue tongue

Now, one cannot underestimate the pressure being mounted on individual parliamentarian, by America in particular, which in itself is an abuse of Democracy because they should be able to vote according to their conscience, NOT OUT OF FEAR OF WHAT AMERICA CAN DO TO THEM OR HOW IT CAN RUIN THEIR ECONOMY! Already, we have seen those "underhand tactics" at play! Were is the constitutionality in that?

As for Nigeria going the same route, that is your own wishful thinking! grin grin wink
We ensured there was Quorum and so, the Supreme court will have no excuse to "bend to pressure". kiss kiss

Before l sign-off on this topic, let me remind us that EVERYONE at one point or the other, is ENGULFED with a WIDE RANGE of "feelings, emotions and desires".
That is what makes us who we are.
Now, as an example, a phaggot may have a feeling or desire to phuck a shyte-hole of another man or with a lesbian, to suck the punnany of a fellow lady. Its all about "SATISFYING AN URGE"!
Myself for example, may have the feelings or desire to smash someones head or even rob a bank so l can satisfy my urge to get rich quick!

The "key" issue now rests on whether l will give-in to that desire or not.
gays have given-in to their own perverse desires because they get a "benefit" from it.

Now, "giving-in" involves a few steps because just like all other "decision-making" process, you go through a series of steps.

1.) Gratification: Every want/need/urge that humans satisfy or desire to satisfy, leads to a form of "self-gratification" also known as the "feel-good factor".
Homosexuals and Heterosexuals experience that "feel-good factor" and l am sure everyone that has had se*x do pass through such process.
Everyone thus, weighs the value of this "feel-good factor" against the possible consequence of their action.
A thief will weigh the money he gets from say, robbing a bank with the possibility of life imprisonment or even death, and make a choice!
Same with Se*x, with a "Homo" or a "Hetero".

2.)Environment: Some environmental factors make our choice/decision easier or more difficult to make.
Using the same example above, if you live in the debased Western World, you know it is easy to practice Homosexuality while you understand that it could be very challenging to practice it in say Uganda.
A thief knows the difference between trying to rob a Nigerian bank and trying to car-jack Securicor/Brinks bullion Van! ....Or robbing a house in Mushin and robbing one in Lekki! The level of difficulty is not the same.

Thus, in making your choice to become or do something, you factor-in the easiness or otherwise of your choice.
But you should never tell the society to "please make it easy for us" just like a thief should never tell the society to "please make it easy for us to steal"! shocked That is not our duty in the society because your own choice does not and cannot supersede that of the larger society!

3.) Culture: An often overlooked but very important factor in "human formation" is culture. it is so because culture is impressed on us right from the minute we are given birth to, from words said to us, to the first things we see and emulate, to the norms and taboos that have become accepted as part of our local life, ......we are shaped by our culture (customs and beliefs).

If the West have imbibed a culture of homosexuality, it did not start today, they've been at it for decades of years.
Now, in Africa, our culture still frowns at Homosexuality so no one should try to force it down our throat, as in now-now!
But mind you, culture do change over time but it is a very gradual thing, not to be imposed from the outside....and this is what America and the western world must recognize.
They can use all their sanctions and monetary AID(s), to arm-twist us but they would sooner than later understand that on issues like this, "you cant force the horse to drink water", it will rather die of thirst!

I have a lil'bit of sympathy for these gays in that the "bad choice" they made was not quickly put into check (for example with some nice lashes of cane! grin ) ...but allowed to fester to the point where they think they cannot do without humping the shyte-hole of a fellow man! The society must take responsibility for that but its better late than never!
We need a system of carrot and stick to correct the need to gratify their devilish emotion and desires:
a combination of "medical therapy, re-orientation and brute force' will do the trick.
Just like our parents removed "stealing" from the souls of wayward children, when growing up, we can "help" these unfortunate perverts.

Caveat: my comments are essentially my own opinion, guaranteed by the constitution! What? shocked grin grin

3. The Ugandan draconian law had to die some how. The way it died doesn't make a difference. Their govt knew this & they had it promptly killed. No one will reconvene to discuss it ever again! They had everything to lose by allowing the law to continue to exist.

Same formula will be applied in Nigeria by the west & they'll get the same result.

Well said, mate!

The whole basis of the homosexual propaganda is total misinformation to dumb impressionable and cool-wannabe people and kids. That is why I love intellectually challenging them.

I hardly even hate the perverts, what I hate is the lies and misinformation the band about to demand acceptance and tell us we need to integrate their filth in society.

I don't give a fck what disgusting thing you do in your bedroom. Don't tell me, don't ask me to accept it, don't make an attempt to make me aware of it. Talkless of trying to tell me I need to teach my kids it is acceptable so they turnout to be fcktards like rocgirl.

We should not give this deviants an inch. You don't need legalisation of filth to do whatever you want to do in your bedroom. That is the extent of "human rights" we should give them.

I myself was laughing when the fcktards did not comprehend the reason why the law was quashed. grin grin grin grin grin grin

I bet the Western government are putting pressure on the corrupt fcktards in government, but I am sure the people would return the pressure to push them back. The Western government scream democracy but do not want to see it practiced when it involves their homosexuals.
