bigboyo:No it wont, categorically. Both fresh and experienced applicants are considered here. You just need to convince them that your experience can be used to enhance and project the organization and yourself. For you to have scaled the test means you have the right aptitude for the job. I don't want to sound like I'm the one choosing the applicants here but... you have atleast shown yourself as a potential by passing the test. Just relax and get yourself thru the less challenging stages. Hope to see you soon as a member of the Standard bank group. |
bigboyo:There's nothing ridiculous about an honestly earned pay. What matters here is your experience while earning that pay and how you will use it to add value to yourself and the organisation. If asked about pay, tell them as it is. If they think its important they will make enquiry from your employer. Just ensure they don't receive a contrary info from what you tell them. Good luck. |
Valmesk:The online application is usually position specific. You must have chosen a position in a location. Please try to remember. The insurance job is like any other you know and is independent of the bank though both are members of the same group. As for Masters program, the bank encourages self development as much as possible. You can continue with your studies by arranging for casual leave with your line manager when you resume work. Its allowed and its encouraged. That's how flexible Stanbic bank is. |
benedima1990:You can fit in any position. So pick your area of interest. On my advise, Asset custodian should fit you. Cheers! |
kejykejy:Hope you were not sacked for some negative reasons on your part because reference will be required from your previous employer . If not, please flaunt your previous experience as it will count for you as an added advantage. By the way, I was sacked from my banking job in 2012 but for no fault of mine. I used my experience there to bargain for my present job and my previous employer gave good reference on me when inquiry was made. I still include it as part of my CV. So nothing to worry dear. Use it to your advantage. Good luck. |
Olucheye:I've seen it and responded. Hope it suffices. Cheers!! |
benedima1990:Get the email address and send your CV. Its a continuous exercise. I don't have it now and I don't want to misinform you. |
pearlzy92:It doesn't matter. The marks are taken overall. You may be weak in one and strong in the other. Its aptitude test, so enjoy your success. You have made it. |
pearlzy92:Still tell them that if asked. Sometimes even unpaid employment and volunteer activities are a plus for you during interview. It adds to your knowledge/ experience base and also presents you as a person who utilizes idle time for the benefit of others. Its a positive if your interviewer understands the true value of a volunteer. So nothing to worry. Just say it as it is if the discussion gets there. Good luck. |
Olucheye:Not seen your mail yet. |
ude25:Nothing to worry bro. NYSC experience isn't much relevant here but in case it comes up, just tell them as it is. You left a while ago and were paid yyy naira then. I don't think they will even make inquiry on your service job. For the 2nd experience, still tell them as it is. You were paid by hand and zzz naira. If they make enquiry from they company they will get thesame info. Just ensure that whatever response you give is the truth. Best wishes. |
Olucheye:mail me at luttie06@yahoo.com |
papirus:Congrats in advance. Means you made it past the test stage. No need to worry about the interview. Just have all your personal details in your memory, kind of memorizing your CV. Then of course some knowledge about the organization; current happenings in the industry; competencies of the job function which is same as customer service officer in other places. About the salary account, just tell them you were receiving your pay by hand and tell them the amount. If you have an employment letter from your present employer you should. go along with it. It should contain some detail about your pay. Just answer any questions honestly because enquiry will be made from your present employer. Ensure you are relaxed and confident. You may be asked about your weaknesses, please say it as it is because that will be used to determine your training needs as you commence the job. Please feel free to ask any further questions and I'll gladly respond as much as I can. Good luck. |
freshvine:I honestly don't know. I'm actually in the north and since the tests are regionalized, I may not know when it will happen down there. Please any invited member in PH can indicate for others to be informed. It isn't good being in the dark over such matters. |
lordkratos:Sorry I don't think you will be admitted. Even those with results but with no NYSC discharge certificates are turned back. I mean even contract staff working with the bank. Please don't waste your tine and money going. There's always another opportunity. Best wishes. |
paullye:So the test isn't CBT. May have been changed to accommodate the number of participants or some network challenges. Its been CBT since I know it over 3yrs now though I don't know if its any advantage or otherwise. But Goodluck anyway. |
papirus:Yes. Goodluck. |
papirus:You'll need them for your workings. Especially on the data interpretation tests. |
ednut1:OK. But even the ABO grade has 2 categories ; I &II. I know someone that was converted from inquiries to PB and was given ABO II with CTC of 2.1m. that formed the basis of my estimate. There will surely be ABOs on up to 2.7. CTC especially those coming from other institutions and those who get annual increment but remain on same grade for long. Both of us aren't wrong you know. It means then that inquiries will be offered BTO I or II if they'll earn less than 100k net per month. CTC can't be above 1.6 then. |
blesseenE:There's no harm in trying. I don't have details of the advert with me. But I think those with experience will have an added advantage. I'll advise you just attempt. Goodluck. |
fnwalie:The personal banker and business banker are two relationship management functions. They manage personal accounts and business accounts respectively in the branch. They also coordinate activities of DSAs in their space among other functions. |
benedima1990:No way. The SHL is CBT. Before you are invited your detail must have been profiled and a password will be advised you at point of taking the test. You use it to access the test. Please don't commit your resources going there uninvited. It will even be embarrassing having to be turned back for such reason as not invited. Just send your detail to the email advertised I believe the application is still open because its an ongoing exercise until all vacant slots are occupied. Good luck. |
blesseenE:You mustn't. Inquiries officer in Stanbic is just like customer service officer in other places. He/she just doesn't create accounts here, and does funds transfers in addition to attending to customer queries & complaints . With CS experience anywhere you can fit in. Just be good in the interview and you're fine. |
blesseenE:The enquiry officer job has been a contract job until now. Management just decided to make it a full time employee function along with personal banker and business banker functions. That is a reason why this recruitment exercise is on. The pay cannot be determined now but those on contract earn between 70-95 thousand depending on length of stay and performance. as a matter of fact, staff do get annual increment on their pay whether full-time or non full-time staff. Since anyone joining now will be a full-time employee its difficult to know the pay. But I think the highest grade to be offered will be ABO which pay may range between 2.1m to 2.4m per annum. That's just my estimate though, please don't take it as authoritative. Good thing is you negotiate your grade and pay during the interview. There your present grade and pay will be your standpoint of bargain. Goodluck. |
emiabia:The interesting thing about Stanbic IBTC is that the HR policy is as flexible as you can imagine. As per experienced hire, you negotiate your grade and pay package during the interview. I mean irrespective of what existing staff on the same grade earn. Its interesting to note that here, staff on thesame grade earn differently due to a number of factors. So your last pay, grade and bargaining power will determine what grade you are offered and package. So arm your self well and you'll end up smiling wider than others in the pack. Good luck. |
ZUBY77:we running with you boss, till the end. |
Chukaholic:You must have applied for a position to be invited. But that's minor for now. The test is aptitude test like any other. The position applied for is immaterial now. Just go and write first, the job function can be determined at subsequent stages of the process. Good luck to you. |
ude25:I will advise that you apply through the email as advertised. I think it will get better attention since it is dedicated to PBB unit recruitment which the advertised roles belong. You will still be required to upload your CV on the website in the course of the process. Better to get yourself in the process first. Goodluck. |
Hi all, I really intend to provide as much information on this exercise as I can but have been banned by one spambot or whatever for the responses I gave earlier. I really don't know which of the rules I broke. I was unbanned this morning and I will post responses as long as I'm convinced they aren't offensive. concerning the recruitment exercise, the positions advertised in the media are the ones with vacancies presently. However, if you go to the site you'll see many other positions there. You may apply but will be invited only when such positions become vacant. You may just limit your applications to the advertised for now. As I said earlier, existing outsourced staff are given priority when vacancies become available. Many of them are writing the test this weekend. External candidates' test will follow soon after. Wish all applicants the best. |
