In one of your posts on this thread, you stated that as a result of the long time for CBN clearance that stanbic now start the clearance immediately after an applicant passes the test and no longer after medicals. Please clarify.

I did my interview/exco chat in Lagos on 14th of May, that is exactly seven (7) weeks now and since then I have not been communicated as to the status of the interview. I applied and was interviewed as a business banker. I am an experienced banker with about 10 years. Is my case awaiting CBN clearance before I will be called for medicals or something else that I need to know?

Do accept my apology. I assure you, it isnt my intention to demarket your bank.stanbic is a very strong and reputable bank but the constant advertisements for vacant positions also assisted in solidifying the rumours on ground.

a little help needed here.

4-dull headlights(can be washed/polished)

To the best of my knowledge, one is not supposed to write the test twice in the space of 12months. I called the PBB Resourcing some weeks ago about this same issue and I was told that I'm not supposed to honour the second invite that even if I do, I will be disqualified when they find out I'd written the test recently.

Am just curious, do you have any idea if anybody in the ongoing recruitment have by any chance resume?...just trying to figure out if the recruitment is been concluded individually or otherwise.

The internal staff that are participating in this recruitment, do you have any idea if they are still waiting medicals like us or has their own recruitment been concluded?

After the whole recruitment process, will Stanbic IBTC send us to training school (like they do for their Graduate Trainees) or is it gonna be on the job training...

I don't think this is the case brother.

As you will have noticed, Stanbic has begun inviting new batches of candidates for assessment, while the same process is also underway for Graduate Trainees.

It's highly unlikely they'll embark on these if there are no vacancies.

I learned from an old Stanbic Recruitment thread that after interview/chat, ex-bankers seeking to join the bank are subjected to some sort of "checks" with CBN- to find out if the prospective hires have clean records with their previous employers.

This CBN clearance process I understand takes a few weeks (4-6) to be consummated.

So, for hopefuls who're ex-bankers, CBN approval may be responsible for this delay.
I believe once this is achieved, medical invites will follow.

That's the most appropriate thing to do. I think coys in Naija has a way of sending negative signals to "would be staff". There is nothing wrong in telling prospective employees that the process is taking time for "soso and so" reasons but they will surely be contacted when necessary. No such mail has been sent to me and some other persons here. I u
nderstand some got the mail though. Ve tried to find who to ask questions but 2 no avail. Thanks 2 18wheller who has been helpful here. Stanbic hasn't been fair to us. Same with other establishments. They contact you wen they want to. Thank Goodness some of us r working. Otherwise we go dey wait for stanbic and our mates go marry, born finish we still dey wait for exco chat.
