joinnow: Pls for safety sake tie your left leg and use only the right leg. A friend bought an auto and becos of rush rush did not cool down to learn auto style of driving so on getting to a junction he slam on accelerator kill one bike man injure the kepkep spent almost 700k to solve the problem. So please if possible also belt your left leg an use only one leg whenever driving automaticDid the bike man come back to life? |
When people can just jump behind a steering wheel and begin to move cars around as there's no system regulating driver training on our roads, this is the kind of result we get. It's unimaginable that anyone would drive an auto transmission vehicle two-footed, talk less of arguing for it, and even go to the extent of claiming those advocating one footed auto driving are ignorant But then how would you blame such folk when the govt itself has failed its responsibility? And you wonder why there's so much danger & madness on our roads? |
Now that we finally have our 2012 poster of the year, the purpose of this topic has been achieved. Many thanks to the voters, nominees and the eventual winner, you're all appreciated. Thanks too to my co-mod Obinoscopy, well done, and thanks to me too ![]() This topic is now locked. Happy new year people! |
Chelsea management has to be one of the worst around. |
It reflects employer unseriousness in my opinion because any employer that actually needs the services of new hires would move it's recruitment process along fast enough for successful candidates to start contributing quickly. But with the state of unemployment in Naija where the impression is that employers are doing a favor to new recruits, they can do whatever they like and get away with it. Some employers would view new hires in terms of cost only, and may therefore believe they are cutting costs by taking their time. Even if they really need the new hands, management would always get away with delays in hiring as long as existing employees continue to take on increasing responsibility even outside their remit just to keep their job as they themselves know what they went through before they got employed. With government agencies, I expect the motives would be different. Nevertheless I am sure there are other perspectives. |
€1 billion? Gasby! |
Yes RIM is in BIG trouble. The general industry talk was that MS was going to acquire RIM or some part of it but MS teamed up with Nokia instead. RIM itself had bandied the idea of splitting into 2 diff entities, hardware and software (OS & BBM), and selling one off. Whatever the case, the future isn't looking good for RIM right now. And even though BB products are still popular in Nig now for reasons we all know, it's only a matter of time before the effects of RIMs troubles hit the Nig market too from the look of things. The same thing happened when the west suffered an economic recession a few years ago and some Nig govt official (wish I remember who) foolishly said Nig was insulated from the effects of that recession. Barely a year later, the stock market crashed and the banking industry suffered serious losses. If only our administrators had responded to the warning signs across the ocean. In the same way, RIMs probs are warning signs for all the 'I cant live without my BB' people, make una begin prepare to die oh lol (kidding) ![]() or at least get it into your head that you would need a life after the BB is gone. |
Hi can someone tell where online I can get updated info on the exchange rates (the street rates) of major currencies to the ₦ in Nigeria? My naija contacts are getting tired of my enquiries and all the resources I have found only give the official rates, but I need to know what obtains with the abokis ![]() I've checked without much luck and wonder if such an online resource even exists at all? |
Are some of these comments written out of actual thought processes? Man it's time for a re-evaluation, need to ask meself some serious questions |
^ That's good news. It's gladdening evidence of the success of the OPs initiative. Good luck on your new job! |
bikokwe: To know a passionate player is easy, Osage has and will always be one. NFF is such a disgrace and this shows how cancerous corruption can be. The little aspect of sports that tries to put smiles on the average Nigerians face is gradually becoming paralytic thanks to the clueless leadership mcheeewAttached pic Osaze posted of his newly ordered boots at WBA in October, note the Nigeria colours. And he wrote "New nike boots arrived and I am still like a kid excited about them!" Confirms the emboldened.
|
lastpage: We are so used to being docile, corrupt and accepting of bullshyte that anyone that is "different", is labeled and ostracized! Now that is soo correct, nearly everything is soo wrong that the right things now look really strange and thus regarded bad. Someone stands up for what he believes and some folk think he just likes to rant. Do some people still think the NFF really cares about the fans when there's loot to share? |
noskeybaba: ^^Dude u need to work on your english language. Venchy: Thanks a lot for your correction, Mr Knows it all.Hilarious ![]() |
Okay guys but something is still not quite right. The link was fine earlier on but now shows this:
|
^ But why do you portray yourself like a motor park tout with your utterances? And there are many strong expressions in your posts, did you just learn those words? |
OP the link is broken, would you be kind enough to let us know when it is fixed? |
Do you have any field of preference or you're just down for whatever this minute? What have you found on the Internet so far? |
I agree with the OP to a large extent though I'm not sure whether the 80% statistic is based on research or just an arbitrary figure. We see a number of the listed reasons on this Jobs forum too, for example: Laziness: Some people come here to enquire about potential employers without doing even a little google search themselves beforehand. Some complain that a post is too long and can't be bothered to read it. Some see an advertised vacancy and still post "Can I apply?" If things like that are not laziness then I don't know what they are. Wanting to get rich quick: Someone would post an obviously dubious post offering the world for nothing, and you would see people falling over themselves to drop their email addresses, nearly begging to be contacted. The desire to get rich quick impairs their sense of judgement and later some return to complain of being cheated or scammed or stuff like that. And now that someone is nice enough to point out helpful & obvious truths like the OP, some shall still prefer to reject the truth for reasons only they can explain (or maybe they feel indicted). OP what's your number 4 reason 'wrong public opinion', can you explain that? |
1025: whether you are advising or criticising mikel, i am telling you that you lack the qualifications for whichever one you think you are doing.Since when did anyone need qualifications to have an opinion? Look man, its Christmas day and I really don't have the time to unpick your attempt at making an argument today. I realize Mikel is your idol but you would do well to accept that not everybody is going to worship him. So, have a Merry Christmas! ![]() |
carsellerz: ARE YOU A PROPHETIC OR BABALAWO...MENHHHHH..SIASIA IS REALLY CELEBRATING NOW BECAUSE HE SURELY DUG A BIG PIT FOR KESHI TO FALL IN...AND THE KESHI TOO IS STROLLING INSIDE LIKE A STUPID FELLALol haha ![]() |
Naija oh my! |
^ I notice you are quick to Mikel's defence even when he's not criticized. Advice isn't the same as criticism oh. I just hope you're getting paid for this else you ought to ask yourself some serious questions. I'll only take you up on some parts of your waffle. As he now has a very fat account, does he really want to sit on the bench the rest of the season? Are you saying he now plays only for money? If in doubt, ask José Bosingwa. 1025: if somebody ask you to wait till the end of the season for you to start playing when benitez leaves, will u complain?Oh so you actually think there's a possibility he might not feature well under Rafa? Haha I didn't think that ![]() 1025: whether he ups his game or lowers his game, he is a made man. That's a shameful statement to make about your hero. Andres Iniesta last week said the secret of his success was "trying to be better every year". See, even a Ballon d'Or candidate wants to improve continually so please advise your chairman Mikel to try and learn from his oga in the game. |
All these on a faceless forum SMH! Seun, you need to develop a strategy (def not short term) to clean up this place. |
1025: did u just run away from a mental rehab? did mikel kill u in ur dream? pls get a life and stop these old talks.See - there's a new manager on the block, Luiz is doing a great job in the midfield, Lamps is back and banging, and another transfer window approaches. So just tell your brother Mikel to raise his game as competition for spaces now is going to be tougher than before especially as he's been out on suspension. By the way, are you jealous I'm not in mental rehab? I sincerely hope you find your own way out soon ![]() |
To those people questioning whether Osaze can 'behave' like this at WBA, lemme ask, do you think Steve Clarke at WBA would behave as childishly as Keshi appears to be doing now? Sir Alex Ferguson recently said at a lecture to Harvard academics that dropped players deserve to be told personally and not left to find out when the final teamsheet is released. See Sir Alex Ferguson reveals secrets of his success to Harvard academics A good coach needs to know how to manage his players' egos. I think Osaze may have taken it better if Keshi at least pretended to respect him a little by telling him before it got on the news. A vocal player like Osaze would continue to find it hard to thrive in the national team as long as corruption remains in the NFF, heck the NFF itself is an illegal entity lol! I support Osaze because he's bold enough to stand/speak up for what he believes in - it's an attribute many of us Nigerians need to develop.
|
crisycent: oSaze don't bother Ursef cos u'hv always played wit all ur heart. Don't worry d keshi will soon become former coach and u will always remain the greatest footballer nigeria eva had. He's just mad that u didn't invite him for ur wedding! Na him help u marry woman?LMAO! ![]() |
In today's news: Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi will not be going to the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria - Alan Pardew. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20837882 Inviting Ameobi made no sense in the 1st place, he's a good player but highly prone to injury hence used carefully by his club. This is a good chance for Keshi to prove he's got nothing personal against Osaze (even though we all know he does). |
No wonder there was a country |
