utumunta: Nigeria is a place where respect 4 elders is put above everything including nationhood n patriotism...and common sense |
Wise people study history. If you don’t know what was, you can't understand what is and you're unprepared for what is to come. ~ Louis Farrakhan |
You think you're rubbishing the man but you're actually proving him right. No wonder there was a country. |
Yea but nominations are not cast in stone or are they? Quite a few people have found it offensive and I think we would do well to be sensitive to that. We ought to pay some more attention to the inadvertent/underlying messages we send with some of these things. |
dangerzone: maybe if mikel play this kind match if he scoreIf Mikel played this game I dont think Chelsea would've scored 8 |
But seriously mods what's Chinua Achebe doing on a list of hall of shame nominations? Something just doesn't seem right about that. |
Goodluck Jonathan by a country mile! You should get Achebe off that list. |

Humphreydis: Guy nxt tym u beta rephrase ur Topic...see as u just mk people mind shift lik say job advert dey....mtcheew!!And in your baseless annoyance, you just couldn't ignore the topic and felt it was necessary to make a careless comment right? |
ayandee: U can't describe FG as d worst employer until you've been offered an appointment. Those employed by d FG are in a better position to comment. I agree with u that there's so much partialty in the recruitment process and it only takes d grace of God to get an offer if u do not have godfathers. However, having worked in the private sector for some years, i can confidently say that d FG has favourable working conditns- salaries (though not necessarily mouthwatering) are paid on time, annual leave (though without pay) is granted, 4 months maternity leave wit full pay, trainings, pension, 4pm or 5pm closing time depending on d agency, access to loans from cooperatives etc Just don't give up. Keep trying. Never conclude u won't be employed by FG cos u don't have a godfather. God the father is all u need.Even if it's the best job in the country, are you saying that it's okay to recruit largely based on partiality, connections and bribery? And you mention God in the same breath? That has to be the largest pile of sh.it I ever heard. |
Ah ah na wa oh, stharry u for try read well na |
Thanks! |
Any 'multi-international' company still using free yahoo mail is not worth working for. Una no dey tink before una write these things??Blocked. |
So you joined NL today to post a ₦150k/month job vacancy ehn? Are you a recruiter? U no like the job for yourself? This your company can pay ₦150k per month but they are still using free gmail, don't you have a website? Guy, boys don wise up oh this format don stale, ok? Contacts blocked. |
140 continents, abeg which world you dey? Na the same drug marketing format, we dont want users deceived abeg. Contact info masked. |
Hi OP as you have 2-3 years of industry experience I would expect that you would have built a (small) network of contacts in the industry through which you would get inside information on developments in your field. So, update your CV and leverage on your contacts - it's usually people who know you that are more likely to help. Do continuous research about your industry, find out about new contracts and projects about to commence - your contacts should be able to provide you such info. Listen to/read the news too. Be ready to be flexible over what you do in the case opportunities arise where you do not expect. Don't give up. |
Unfortunately your post is an abuse of the jobs/vacancies board therefore this topic shall be locked. |
what's with the 1st to comment crap...
Tells you the how these cats think |
toprealman: Back in the days, I laugh when people shout 'extra sheet' during examination. Reason being that majority write junks and fail to hit the point. The poster was quite clear, and with reasons. As at now 21 people 'liked' the post already so please tell, which part of the post bypassed your own understanding? |
cdz: My Nigerian of the year is that man or woman who has toiled endlessly and honestly to make ends meet against the odds of extremely irregular power supply, constant harrassment by tax agents, flagrant disrespect and exploitation by government agents, cold indifference from a popularly elected government, totally dysfunctional public health system, glaring abscence of the most basic of social amenities and the ever-increasing prices of household commodities. To that Nigerian, I say, 'Well done'. You are a saint not to have resorted to illegal short-cuts like you shameless elites in Abuja, your blood-sucking law enforcement agents and your comfort-loving religious tradesmen.Very well said. In the spirit of the topic however I would put forward the following: The Nigerian Protester - for the unprecedented fight against injustice in January Omoyele Sowore - for leading the change in the way Nigerian news is reported Tunde Bakare - for boldly and consistently speaking truths about/to the criminal Nigerian leadership |
My vote goes to Ishilove |
This thread reeks of jealousy. Poster don't mind the haters cos they're probably envious, you should be proud of your degree. If you want to know what your real chances are, start applying and see what the response is like. I don't think a Nigerian employer will see a 2.2 from a Nigerian Uni the same as a 2.2 from a UK Uni. Except it's one of those dodgy ones and many times sef, naija folk can't tell the difference (tho it's no excuse). Try and see for yourself and don't rule out the option of getting additional qualifications. I would recommend professional certifications over a Masters' degree because they're more specialized. Decide your specific area of interest and go for it. |
Fully obeying Christ's commandments |

Nigeria must have the global highest number of hypocrites per square mile |
thelastPope: ...It is silly to pick one picture from somewhere and post is as Nigeria...Tell to the OP oh, is that the only house owned by an American based Nigerian? |
