Look for any copy of the budget document from last 8years, you will discover more than allocations for house rent.
In 2009 I had a look at the budget document for the first time courtesy of my Economic planning lecturer, my mouth was agape for several minutes.

The budget of shame was one of the characterics of GEJs era.
The likes of Amin Dada, Mobutu, Gadafi, were very corrupt but they were nothing close to GEJ. GEJ looks stupid, acts stupid, was treated stupidly, dresses stupid, looted stupidly and could get no good work done! If in doubt go to Otuoke and see for yourself!

Buhari's team copied last years budget, made little alteration before sending it to the Senate. All the past presidents of Nigeria, law makers/breakers are in the habit allocating obscene amounts to themselves in the name of national budget. The reason this issues are being escalated now is because of the hostility between the president and the senators as a result of the presidents anti-corruption stances and his public castigation of the absurd allowances for the legislators. This is good for Nigeria, let this atmosphere continue, let every arm of government sit up and discharge their duties diligently or be exposed.
During GEJ time, everything and anything goes, because GEJ was what the Economist called him.
