2. No engine number on vehicle papers: Most car owners overlook their engine number because it is hard to see on the engine block. Some believe they are the same with the Chassis/VIN number. If police catch you, you will know the truth. These guys know the exact location of the engine number on most cars. It’s better you take the pain to search for it now than fall victim later.
I've fallen victim of this. The guy that registered my vehicle skipped the engine number. Many officers have checked my particulars and never observed it until I ran into some hardened policemen. That evening, all the cars they stopped were my type and model.
To show me where it is, the officer entered bush, cut a stick to scratch the dirt on the engine block. It didn't appear well, he now went into their hilux, cut foam from the passengers seat, (now you know how their vehicles loses value so fast). He then used the foam to clean the engine block and showed me.
He asked for 50k. Said, he'd declare my vehicle stolen and myself as the suspect. I wasn't ready to pay a dime. Eventually we went to the station.
They refused to take the case to the desk, then I realised the case wasn't a big one, they just needed money for that friday night. As night was approaching, I called a friend who lives in the area for moral support.
Long and short, for "wasting/taking" their time, we parted with 6k, 1k for each person on their patrol. I wanted to give 2k, actually but the lead officer now said, "how dem go share am?" My guy now added 4k.
The thing vex me.
Following Monday, I went to court for an affidavit with a police extract to cover it, all for 2k. |

preens: Hi bro. First of all is d dish and everything else set up correctly? Have u connected your dish to a regular decoder n gotten signals on d sat you're trying to track? If yes then u just have to go over d pics I sent step by step. Also, d decoder in d TV is a combo decoder. Plug in a terrestrial antenna, do an antenna auto scan n u will get gotv n startimes signals in addition to d analogue channels I connected it to a working qsat decoder today, still no input was detected. The decoder worked on other TV and also via hdmi port. Terrestial antenna worked, got 49 DTV channels but couldn't open any. Also got some local analog stations. Could the satellite module be bad? Thanks for all the help. |

Dish directly but no signal detected. I'd be trying with a qsat tomorrow. If I'm right, the TV should detect signal once the coax cable is connected even if I'm not on locked on any bird. I'd also do the terrestial scan. |

PH is relatively more expensive with little options. It's a choked place. If you're single, just plan for a 1-bedroom flat. Avoid areas you'd need more than 2 drops to get to work. If possible, do away from any accommodation that would make you pass through Rumuola on your way to/from work: heavy traffic is always guaranteed there. |

LordAdam7: How can you say the official languages of the Aro confederacy were Igbo, Ibibio, Ijaw, Delta Ibo, Urhobo, Isoko, Itsekiri?
Have you lost your mind?
The Aros never went pass Igboland. They didn't have the military strength nor the machinery to enact such invasions or influence.
And all of the languages except Igbo and Delta Ibo (which is an aberration in itself because Delta Ibo is not a language) you mentioned there were not spoken in historic Igboland.
So you can stuff all the gibberish you wrote in a place where the sun does not shine.
Many more Igbo clans other than the Aros had influence on the non-Igboid ethnicities east of the Niger. But west of the Niger, the influence stopped at present day Delta North Senatorial zone. And even then the influence was solely based on language and cultural similarities, it was nothing like the vassal states in the old Bini or Oyo Empire.
The Igbos are republican. And personally, I don't think you guys have to give excuses as to why you guys didn't fight baseless intra-tribal wars and establish a mammoth tribal country like the Yoruba country or Bini country. But it borders on insanity to say that there was anything in pre-Independence Igbo land that rivaled the Oyo or Bini Empire in the West of the Niger or the Sokoto Caliphate, numerous Emirates in the North (such as the Kano Emirate) or the Bornu Empire in the North.
