Why?!!!
Always check your fire wall for recommended pressure. Stay close to the lower limit, our roads heat up faster here than where those tyres come from.

My tire says 36-44psi, I have never crossed 40.

Large scale farming is not for the poor. Ask Mira how much the venture is costing her. Recently, she had an encounter (you know all those redtapes) with Customs because she wanted to bring in some used tractors to help on her farm.

I would like to try nigcomsat. How do I go from 16e.
I use qsat q26g and a 90cm dish. I have a diseqc switch too.

Please stop yapping like an illiterate.

Ijebu impeding Ibadan from trade and yet they need to ally with the Brits? Who really then was the trade starving Ibadan or the Brits? And if there were so invincible as you claim, why did they need to ally with the Brits?

Now let me tell you about facts, before the Brits, there was the Ekiti war that had Awujale Fidipote to send Balogun Onafowokan to wage war in Ibadan. That particular king was vehemently against the order of things then and wanted what was rightly due to him on his own land. That was how the Kuku name came into prominence. Ijebus were the first to start using arms which gave them an advantage over the rest of Yoruba land which saw even the Ooni send an emissary to Awujale Fusngbuwa when the Owu were pummeling the Ife, not Ibadan that you claim had a stronger military might. It was the Ijebus that help finish off the Owus which is why they are in that part of Ogun state today. The Ooni was about to lose his kingdom and it was the Awujale of that time that made Ifes not to tell sorry tales about what could have befallen their forefathers in time past.

To add to it, it was Balogun Kuku who sold arms to Ibadan and it was his turncoat that saved Ibadan from being pummeled further. It is all in history, please go and read up.

It may interest you to know, Ijebu was immuned through out the various wars that plagued Yorubaland not until the British came. Not Ibadan that was assaulted by the Alaafin and became what it is by the combined efforts of Ijebu,Owu,Egba warriors for it to stand as what it is today. There is even a district in Ibadan that belongs to the Ijebus as a result of the wars and you say they were invincible? Show me a place in Ijebu where any other tribe holds a district in it.

I have the links if you want.
Please, any online link to read further.

He is still being ecomomical with the truth.

He should stop embellishing his facts.

If he was in PH Nigeria, then he wasn't earning beyond N600k and not the $6000 he mentioned which is quite possible working as an IM outside Nigeria.

Only those working with producing firms can earn as much as $6000 per month at the entry level that he was, or those who are not Nigerians but work in Nigeria as an expatriate even if at the entry level. Not a green hat in a service firm who is not an expatriate staff.

If he still maintains his wild claims, let him upload his monthly payslip for a regular month and not the start of the year lump sum pay.

He might have been enroute such potential pay some day in his career if he got an international redeployment to another location of the same firm, but he certainly did not have such pay as the alternative forgone when he decided to up and leave.

Cabbage Update:

The cabbage heads are now very visible and firm. Issues of snails and slugs still comes up once in a while (still looking for the perfect remedy), aside that, everything seems to be doing just fine.

Tomato Update:

It's just lovely to see the tomato plants doing excellently well. Staked a few, while the heights keeps increasing daily. Spraying with my mixture of baking soda and vegetable oil is a routine I engage myself with every two days (can't give room diseases).
Hi. I can see you have weeds under control. How are you doing it?

ikukuhero:
I hope this is not about a lady I know because this sounds familiar. Anyway, the issues are these:
1: she does not trust you enough. So, all you need to do is to earn her trust
2: She hasn't fully made up her mind about dating you / how far you can both go together as a couple
3: She's still getting to understand your kind of person.
4: You're both in the storming stage of this relationship. Give it more time and you'll both get used to each other's likes and dislikes.
5: Give her sometime off. Give her some space. Guess she feels choked. After about a week, call to say hello and note her reaction. If she responds and relates in a cold manner, please move on! You're not meant for each other.
6: Only daughter's love to be treated with care. Treat her like your younger sister.
7: Pray about the situation and let God direct you.

Remain blessed
Trust? If she's finding it hard to trust you, do all you can. She won't.
And to treat her like a sister? Why not as your mother or daughter. You don't need that's spouse is spouse not your sibling. The dynamics are world's apart.

The issue with PH is that a lot of people were rescheduled fromm28/29 to 24/25. A friend almost missed his test. I read about rechecking here so I called him. He argued only to check and see that he has a new date. DPR should have alerted the affected candidates via sms or mails.

Thanks a zillion.
Can I start planting Cucumber and Tomatoes now?
People that planted Ugu in my area are crying because of glut. Lots of Ugu leaves everywhere and no patronage from buyers. This is around Etche in Rivers State
Wait till September if you're growing them for sale. PH and southsouth still has plenty rain. Veggies are more profitable in dry season, then the "easy farmer" would be out.

Like me, I plat only dry season corn, why? Everyone does it when it is raining and there's surplus.

F1 Victory Cabbage Update (Day 69):

Finally, the head formation kicks in. I was beginning to have doubts; will this cabbage develop heads at all? Well, everything thing seems to be fine with the cabbage after all. The head formation is clearly visible now. Patience seems to be the key.

URGENT PLEASE:
Does anyone have a quick and fast way of eradicating snails/slug infestation? I am beginning to see a few munching on my cabbage lately.
Slugs and snails like beer, pour beer in deep cans and place them some distance from the veggies. It'd attract the slugs and if you hold them till you can come and pick.

Check YouTube for can designs.

I'm so impressed with your openness and sincerity. I want start planting cucumber and tomatoes next week. I'm Port Harcourt based. Is this the right time of the year to start? Its raining cat and dog for the past 2 days here.. I want to do it large scale too. I have some cabbage seeds given to me by my Philipino friend last year . Is it still viable? I Also plan to plant ginger too in my farm. Is this the right season to start. I have about 40 plots PH measurement to play with.
Ideas please.....!!!!!?
Most of the questions have been answered above.

On ginger, buy enough in the market, keep them at home where humidity is high, it'd start budding, then cut along the bud and plant.

The pix attached is ginger I mixed-cropped with my efo soko.

After getting multi TV, input the mbc frequency(12.284v27.500) then move your dish up slightly, (make sure your multi TV signal is not above 75%,) you'll definitely hit green on the mbc frequency. just tweak your lnb to get maximum signal on the both sates. I have 75% on multi TV and 65,66% on mbc.... I wish you luck.
Please, I already have 16e. How do I add mbc and multi TV to my existing setup. Thanks.

I don't want to space, i want them all to grow together, eat some and wait for some to bear seeds so that i won't need to buy seeds again.
One more reason to space. Your first set of harvest would give you seed for another batch. (If they harvest looks good enough for replanting.)

The Lagos Spinach seeds are measured in cup or congo, just like how they measure rice, garri or beans.

A cup goes for N1,000 while half cup is N500.

I have used up the half tin cup i bought, so can't show the picture, i will get the picture from the one on jidestroud's post.

The first is the tomato seed in the nylon, while the 2nd is the Lagos Spinach seed.

courtesy of jidestroud's picture
Please space your planting. Put at least 1month between planting so you can a well spread out maturity and harvest. Otherwise, you'd have lots to waste.
