Hello friends am back again.please l have 4 dishes.1 60cm , 2 90cm and 1m. l use the 60cm for 5e/7e, 16e and 28e and 1m for 7w while one of the 90cm was use for 42e , 55e and 68e. so one of the 90cm is laying waste..please which satllite can l track with it.am waiting for amswer.thanks

Try any agro store for local varieties like pepper, tomato, okro, soko, tete and ewedu. Some of them also have "foreign" veggies. For foreign veggies like radish, cucumber, beetroot, etc, you can get at shoprite.

Day 51: (The Lagos spinach harvest)

It's been rain rain rain all day. I have virtually disposed/removed all my Tomato plants. They all at last succumbed to the heavy rainfalls, except for those planted in sacks. They are currently doing perfectly well.

Nevertheless, it's not all bad news on the farm, I did some harvesting today. Hurraaaaay!!! I was able to harvest my Lagos spinach and I sold everything. It wasn't much but at least it felt good.

Lol, I am N800 richer straight from my garden farm.

Day 50 (The Rains and Diseases)

Sad day for me in my garden. Why won't the rain just stop?!!! Tomato plants and the rains is a no no. It's been a week with barely a day going without the constant downpours. It has started to take its toll on my Tomato plants with many of them coming down with diseases. Had to destroy a couple of them (there's no coming back from it honestly, prevention is the key. Once infected, best option, pull out and dispose appropriately).

Moreover, I have got my pretty little garden flooded.

Time to replace the empty holes with new seedling (Rio degrande), and do a little adjustment to the garden.

1. The need for mulching
2. Use of black nylon bags to cover the whole beds (prevents the rainwater hitting the spoil, splashing on the plant leaves)
3. Spray the whole surroundings (this will be of little benefit though, all will still get washed away by the rain)
4. Get a more resistant variety.

The fluted pumpkins, cucumbers, Lagos spinach, Corn are doing just fine though.

Lesson learnt: Farming is no joke at all biko! It's real business.

So sorry to see the flood wiping away your tomatoes. Farmibg/gardening is not for the weak at heart.

Looks like the intended objectives is working, if what it takes to bring the naira/dollar rates low means pumping dollars into the market so be it.

I recently bought a smart LG TV with inbuilt satellite decoder. I was told at the point of purchase that I would be able to pick up as many as 20 free to air tv channels. Unfortunately, I have been able to view just 4 religious tv stations. .
Please, can anybody help on how to pick up news and/or entertainment channels (sports & musicals)? I would love to view some local channels too (like AIT and TVC). I reside in Kano State.

Track with a regular decoder just like any regular setup, then switch the cable to your satellite table without the decoder. That's how to do it with minimal stress.

Got 16e but u might suspend tracking due to rain. The cloud is heavy now and rain should start anytime soon.

From 16e position, how do I go to multitv. Facing the dish, left or right, up or down. Thanks.

To make five litres of spray use about one
kilogram of fresh neem (dongoyaro) leaves. Put the leaves into a
pot and add five litres of water. Boil the mixture until the green colour is gone from the leaves. When the green colour is gone it means that the part of the leaves that affects the insects has gone into the water. Let the water cool overnight. The next day, remove the leaves or filter the mixture through a fine cloth. Now you have a neem (dongoyaro) spray that is ready to use on your crop.

Just imagine. This a common anti-malaria drink here when boiled with lime and/or pineapple skin.
