Jesus Christ was born with the blood of Jacob coursing through His veins - He was indeed a Jew. He lived in submission to and obedience of the Old Covenant Law of Moses as given to the people of Israel by God Himself, this in order to fulfill the Law on behalf of the jews that God had given to Him.

Jesus Christ is God's New Covenant Law , the New agreement between God and individuals (no longer peoples, groups or nations) and so He could not have been a Christian.
